Drifting got easier?

Well it appears to be clear that we all notice a difference in tyre grip when drifting. Is this for better or worse though? Is GT5 now more realistic or less realistic?
Better, it'll just take time to get used to it again.

I did some testing yesterday. I have found that the aero change with ride height. I find cars that are not slammed tend to be more stable. I will be going back to no aero tuning as they are faster, maintain higher angle at speed, along with being alot more pleasurable to drive.

I haven't had to change any tuning on my cars, it just seems to feel a lot easier than before...
As a reference, I don't run wings and I tend to slam my cars.

Is there anything in the shifting balance rumour.. Even with no laden weight there is effect to the chassis.. As an example +50 Weight transfer with 0Kg does have an effect on setup ?

I have tested this out and there is some difference on power delivery to the back wheels even with 0Kg added and a shift of +50 towards the back !

Why would that make any difference? And why would they put that into the game?

Deff more easy. More easy to get angle, hit full lock, reverse entry. They even fixed some cars that sucked before

If there is some form of laden weight (Battery/Aux as an example) @ 0Kg then the laden weight would make an effect in ballast position from 'front-Rear'.

Its been talked about before here and touched on alittle here by a well respected Tuner :)) here

Was reading a post on another board about this very thing the other day ?

So would it make a difference ? You would assume that the slider for % Position would be hashed out and not settable with 0kg ballast ?

I dont know mate thats why I asked....Maybe try it to see.. What do you think ?

I have no idea why, but with the way I tune if i move the ballast to the back even with no weight add it does change how sideways the car will get.
