I have recently started drifting in GT2, but alas, i am not very good at it..

What is the best brake to drift with? E or Reg?

..any response would be appreciated..

and just because, here are some cars ive been able to drift (pretty much) in:

Mercedes CLK-GTR (hidden car, used gameshark to get) - E brake
TVR Cerbera (really really loose settings given to me) - E brake

..its not much, but oh well.

i'm sure you heard of these.

This is how you get into a drift
trail braking:
brake a bit later than you used to. and turn hard into the turn. most likely the first 1/4 way into the turn, the rear end will slide out.

controlliing it:
4WD- let the rear slide out, if you feel the need to countersteer, do it by just tapping the steering button. if the cars is oversteering heavy, you may need to hold your steering button down through out the turn

NOTE: if you counter steer by actually holding, the car may fly off in the direction of turn violently.

RWD-controll the drift by not over powering the rear wheels. to do this, you simply let off the throttle but not so that the rear end actually gains traction a grips.

i've done it with the Supra and it's really hard trying not to oversteer.

NOTE: Control by tapping the Throttle.

FWD-you just basically steer and go. you may need to pull the e-brake if you want to keep the rear end out(sliding).

Weight Transfer:
Before the turn, lets say a right hander, you stay on the right side of the road. You turn to the left hard and to the right into the turn and brake to get the rears to loose traction.
NOTE: when you do this, you must be in position. you have to try this a couple times to know when to do this technique.

do a search for 'drift' in this forum. There was a thread that got lots of replies a few weeks ago, it shouldn't be too old.

MMkay... will do man

hey, I just take all the weight off the back end, put Brake Controller on back small as possible, front large as possible. Makes the car drift BIG time.

WHAT THE @%#$
is the big deal with drifting?!
everybody suddenly wants to know how to drift just right.
it's the subject in half of the forums on this whole site!!

My sentiments exactly. Watch a real race and see how many cars drift . . . with positive results, that is.

I think it's much more challenging (and faster) to stay glued to the road and keep good lines.

Unless of course you just wanna watch your Starsky-and-Hutch-esque replays.

Well burnout, that was four days ago . Your Supra on Trial Mountain race was posted just today . And I originaly challenged you at least a week ago. I wouldn't have kept asking if you'd just responded.

And two more points...
First, you never did the GT40 on Grindelwald; but I'll still do yours. And finally, I originally challenged you to an endurance on SS Rt. 5 with you driving a GT One and me an Arta Skyline. If I were you I'd be pretty confident about that one.

Either. I don't even know which one I have. I have the one with the really ****ed up paint job. I also have the ugly light blue R390. I'd rather have the black and red one I used to have.

my GT-One is red and white, it's almost like flames on the back. I think that's one of the best paint schemes in the game

Look closely and tell me if you think it looks like a person pasted on there.
