Using Drivehub on gt7/ps5 reduces the ffb strenght to arround 40% of the wheels max power.
I have to turn up the power on the wheel to 100% (20nm) and ingame to 10 to reach forces of 8-10nm.
It feels weak and numb. No car feel and poor ffb.
DD1+hori pad+ latest drivehub firmware.

Is this problem caused by gt7, by drivehub or by a combination of both?

I don't think this will work because the Drivehub needs to run the base and peripherals together via one usb into the ps5. I could be wrong, though.
This was exactly what I was curious about.

I have a wheelbase for the PS5.
If it is installed through Drivehub, I am worried about parts such as input lag.

When updating did you just select "latest" or did you select the most recent beta release? They are different and the beta release 35 (or whatever we are on now) feels identical on my g pro to just having my g pro plugged in directly to the PS5.

I see now. I thought there was a translation error.

There's no need to worry about input lag. With so many users here you'd have many complaints if there were any trace of lag.

The wheel base needs to be plugged in to DriveHub with all accessories to work. Consoles need so see everything as one unit, and the DH is how different brands are spoofed to look like they're from the same brand as the wheel base.

Well I’m bummed Podger isn’t active anymore. He is the Drivehub. Hopefully he is just occupied with other avenues now, and is ok. He was so active on the thread, and constantly developing and updating the firmware. Thankyou for all of your time and help @Podger we send our best to you!

Manually selected the firmeware, i tryed alot of them but sadly none of them have strong ffb. the only changelog i found was back from 2017. also on the latest firmware (beta35 or 36) the shifter paddles are mirrored, left is right right is left. also the left stick goes only one direction. i can move it to left but if i try to move right it also moves left. Fanatec DD1, Clubsport RS rim.

Does GT7 nerf or limit the strenght output of direct drive wheels?

I was testing out GT7 last night (haven't turned it on in months) and FFB does seem weaker post-update.

But also note that it's dynamic based on what car you're driving. Drive a GT or other fully equipped race car and the FFB is much stronger for the same software setting.

Despite the "weaker" FFB, the fidelity of it seems much more nuanced. I think I prefer what Polyphony did in this update. Now to get used to the new physics...

As others have said, the ffb is different for each car, and if that’s not what is causing this I’m out of ideas. I know that for me I drove the same car with drivehub and without drivehub and the ffb felt exactly the same. They use to have a ffb limit but that has now been removed.

It's a drive hub and it's more limiting than just that. I have a DD2 I thought would be good through drive hub. I was SO WRONG. I now also have DD+ and it is night and day difference, but OH so glad I went ahead and did it. Even iRacing is better, but still not near as good as FFB in GT7. I can drive in GT7 by feel, grip levels fidelity is crisp and clear AF, as well as weight transfer uphill, downhill, and shifting weight under accel/braking is felt. iRacing still is a tire temp babysitting and muscle memory sim, not realistic, just text book technical, but they have something closer to proper racing with penalization that matters.

The PS5 mode is a much higher update rate - 250hz. Only possible with PS5 licensed peripherals.

It's the turn in ffb that is poor , Racing the Sauber C9 at Daytona oval, getting no ffb effects through the banking, feels butter smooth, latest beta firmware on csl dd 8nm , putting torque at 7 made no difference.

Well, I’m at a loss and will probably be returning my drivehub. I have tried it with multiple shifters now and the shifters simply don’t work. Most recently ordered the VNM shifter and got nothing when trying to shift with it. FFB feels great and exactly like it does without the shifter, but if I can’t use any shifter other than the horrible Logitech one with my g pro wheel I see no point in keeping the drivehub. I guess if I don’t hear back from support to get things working I’ll look into modding a Logitech shifter instead.

I use the VNM without issue. I've had it for a few months. I have a GPro wheel. I wonder why it's not working for you.

I have VNM shifter that I bought same time as drive hub earlier this year and it works. Did you try the little selector switch on back maybe?

I’ve tried updating the drivehub, the shifter, recalibration of the shifter, tried h pattern, tried sequential, tried different cables, literally nothing works. I spent hours trying to get it working last night.

Which beta are you running? Is something plugged in incorrectly? I used mine on Monday. I feel we can get you through this somehow. The VNM shifter is great and it sucks its not working for you. I'm sitting on a Simagic shifter waiting for Collective Minds to help. I'm passed my 30 day window but feel they will figure it out soon.

Currently on beta 35. I was going to try and use an older beta or release, but I am on the g pro drivers from earlier this summer, so I can’t go too far back with the drivehub drivers.

I'm on the most recent GPro update because I added the RS wheel. I'm also on beta 35. There are two USB inputs on the back of the VNM shifter. Did you try both? When I get home from work I'll message you pics of my setup and try to help.

I’ve only tried the bottom usb port on the shifter as that is the port I used for updating the shifter and calibrating the shifter and it worked for both of those. I’ve also made sure the update switch is set to run and the h pattern <-> sq is set to the correct option depending on which one I’m using.

Drivehub also reads the g pro correctly and displays SH when I plug the shifter in, so I’m pretty sure the drivehub recognizes both the wheel and shifter correctly but when I fire up a race in GT7 the shifter does nothing.

I'll be in touch with you later to see if I can help.

I mean, at this point I’m happy to have any help, but I’ve spent hours on this already and I would be shocked if you pointed something out I haven’t already tried. At this point I assume I have either a bad shifter or a bad drivehub. Either way, things are getting returned.

Are you using a car that definitely has a manual transmission? Some cars have paddle shift only.

I was going to buy a Fanatec Ready2Race kit with CSL DD QR2 to use on Xbox Series X but realised that the basic steering wheel (CSL Steering Wheel P1 V2) is not compatible. Using the Drive Hub, would the steering wheel also work on the Xbox? Would the Fanatec work as with a compatible steering wheel or would there be limitations? Because I have already bought a CSL Elite Steering Wheel McLaren GT3 V2 (used, great price) and the alternative would be the Ready2Race with the CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC which I don't like though :D
If there are no alternatives I think I'll buy the R2R with the WRC steering wheel but I could save 100 euros by getting the P1 V2.
Of course I already own a DriveHub that I use with a Logitech G29.
Thanks to those who will answer me.

Does anyone know if the fanatec h shifter definitely works with ps5 g pro base and drivehub? I’m ready to move on from the Logitech h shifter.

I don't think it's working at the moment, but from what I'm reading in this thread, the developer is working on a firmware update to address the issue.

I purchased the DriveHub and the Fanatec Clubsport Shifter SQ V1.5 after Logi PLAY. I'm hoping to use this shifter with my Logitech Pro wheel on Xbox.

I'm using the latest beta version of the Drive Hub firmware (version 35), but it's not working. As soon as I select Xbox on my wheel, the wheel shuts down/crashes.

I have a feeling this might be an ongoing issue. Every time Logitech updates its firmware, DriveHub might stop working and we'll have to wait for a corresponding update

The drivehub will allow the non Xbox wheel if you attach an xbox controller. The mclaren GT3 is already xbox ready so would work w/o drivehub or in native mode

Thank you.
Do you know if the CLS DD will work as native or I will experience some limitations?

CSL DD is native to PC, and xbox with an xbox wheel mounted. No PS support w/o a drivehub and ps controller like hori. FFB will depend on how the game sees the wheel when using the DH - don’t have an xbox so can’t say much more

Just got a drivehub, updated to latest beta firmware and my CSL DD still says g29 no matter if it's in fanatec mode or not. The drivehub scrolls to say GT DD pro but gt7 shows g29 in the wheel settings. Should I reflash the firmware?
Also hoping that the simjack ultimate pedals are supported soon as currently plugging them in stops everything working.
