You re using the G29 on Drive Hub, to play on PS4.???? Why???? G29 plugs directly to PS4... !!!??? does nt it??

I don´t have a G29... but instead a CSL ELITE PS4 and as it is totally compatible to PS4 (I´m using Drivehub so that I can also use the TH8A Shifter too..) I use it on DD (Direct Drive) Mode, this is: plugged directly on Drive Hub USB Port used for the the DS4 controller.. and I assure you that the feeling and behavior of my PS4 Elite through the Drive Hub Connection is equal to the wheel connected directly to PS4...

You misunderstand what I'm saying.

I'm saying do that as a control. To test the FFB on the same console to take console differentiation out of the equation.

But I do know what FFB feels like on past GT games with this wheel, and my G27 feels just about identical on GTS with the DH as it did plugged directly into my PS3 for GT6. I have also played Dirt Rally 2 and PC2 and after tinkering with the settings and FFB on both games, I got it working to where it feels perfectly fine.

Also from what I’ve heard, the G29 feels just like the G27. The mechanisms and system are essentially identical and the only big difference is that one is supported by the current consoles and the other isn’t.

It may well feel perfectly fine but it isn't what the developer has intended. I can assure you playing these games on the same console and switching out the DriveHub changes the FFB and is weak with it.

If you are happy with the FFB then so be it. I'm just making you aware that it isn't what it should be.

If G29 allows the use of Direct Drive mode... try it... and then state the difference.. please! Just curious...

Do you have any evidence for this whatsoever other than just a hunch? I’m literally saying the wheel feels identical to me when plugged into the system and with the DH. I’ve always used the same FFB too so I would pick up on differences.

If I use my G29 through the DriveHub on GT Sport it feels totally different and weak compared to without.

When I did my review of Drive Hub, this is one of the things I tested, & I felt no difference whatsoever in FFB using my G29 plugged straight into my PS4 on P CARS, then in PS3 mode through Drive Hub; it felt identical. I also tested it on an XB1 in P CARS, & the FFB felt identical. So, it's strange that you are getting this problem, whereas I didn't.

If you plug a G29 into drive hub & it's in PS4 mode it will simply pass straight through. If the G29 is in PS3 mode then Drive Hub will see it as a DFGT & convert it to a G29. So if you are experiencing an issue, I have no idea what's going on with your Drive Hub, maybe you have a faulty one...

A few others have mentioned on the official forum for the DH and have experienced the same. I guess a very small amount of us have multiple consoles that can test the same game.

It sounds more like there’s an issue with the games themselves of the different consoles than it being an issue with the DH itself.

I'm not so sure but I'll try and get on this weekend and fault find some more. I would really like the DH to live up to my expectations. The silence from the CronusMax team is deafening though with no response to it.

@Podger

I am trying to Play Gran turismo 6 with drivehub and Logitech G29 on Playstation 3.

The game Works fine .Only problem I cant quit the game as the PS Button in the wheel dont seem to do anything.

I also tryed pressing L3 + R3.

That dont Work eather.

So how can I quit games in PS 3 ?

Been thinking about getting one of these. I have a Logitech DF GT currently. Is this worth getting or shall I go all out and get a G29?

If I were you I'd sell the DFGT on & put the money towards a G29. G29 has way better pedals, & the wheel is way better, but it has all the buttons from the DFGT.

👍

I agree with VBR. Get the g29

And if you want to connect it to the Xbox , you CSM always get a dtivehub.

I’ve been using my DFGT for around a month now with the DriveHub and it works perfectly, my only gripe is that the DFGT has buttons for shifters so I just ordered a shifter mod kit for it. I’m still into it for way less than a G29 so far though even with the shifter mod.

Another thing I'd have to consider is getting a stand for the G29. If it fits the stand for my DFGT then happy days!

@SVT Cobra GT , I am not sure what you mean with a read bracket. Is it something on your rig that you made yourself?

The rig I have is a "Wheelstand Pro" which I bought through this website around 7/8 years ago.

It comes with two red pieces of metal which hold the pedal unit in place.

The amazon link should describe it better. I'm unsure that this will work with the pedal unit being wider.

I see what the red bracket is. I think it should be no problem. And if it is, then you might want to do some DIY mod.

The G29 has 4 M6 threaded holes. That is the best way to fix it to any rig. Two bolts are enough to keep it in place.

Ok, if the stand I have will keep the pedals in place, what about the wheel itself? Is it any bigger than the DFGT?

@SVT Cobra GT

Looking a the mounting plate, I gues it'll fit.

Do you fixate the DFGT with bolts to this plate:

If so, I can measure the bolt to bolt distance of my G25 (same as G29).

Depending on the layout of the threaded hole position on your DFGT, it should fit. Or with some DIY work it should fit.

That's pretty much the same stand I have currently

They sell slightly different WSP's all depending on what wheel you have. For the G series, there is a strip of metal that screws onto the wheel base underneath. You might be able to buy just that part from the WSP manufacturer. I doubt whether the DFGT pedal securing device will work, as it's not designed for the G series pedal sets.

EDIT: seems that the DFGT WSP isn't compatible with the G29;

At the moment I have a T300RS, TH8RS (plugged into the servo) & a set of Clubsport V3's with a Basher Boards CPX adapter.

Can I use a drivehub to replace the CPX adapter? I need to be able to plug in my V3's and a Clubsport Handbrake. Will this work?
