Fun bug I have… latest beta firmware. I’m using a Logitech G Pro (PS5 base) with a Simagic DX-8H shifter connected. For whatever reason the wheel disconnects and reconnects from the console every 10 or so minutes of playing. Then just continues to do this over and over again every minute or so. Every once in a while, after it reconnects, GT7 won’t recognize any button inputs but the base PS5 OS will recognize all the button inputs. Rebooting the game gets it to recognize everything properly again. But it’ll disconnect a minute or so after starting a race. When the system sees the controller (wheel) has reconnected, sometimes the wheel will violently jerk to the right.

Shutting down the entire system, rebooting everything seems to fix the issue until I’m racing again for 10 or so minutes.
Is your problem fixed now? And how does the shifter work?

At this point I’m wondering if there are any worthwhile mods that can make the basic Logitech shifter feel better. I’ve seen one with magnets at each gear position but can’t remember what it’s called.

Frex is a great option.
Where’s the best site to buy from?
I ordered direct from them, they overnight it. It’s a bulletproof shifter and works with Drivehub.

Im likely going to grab one. There are four selections, I don’t need switch or simsynchro correct? I have logi g pro wheel and pedals so just need the most basic options right?

Yes. Switch is just a programmable button but only works on PC. Simsynchro works with their pedals only connects together and can physically lock shift gates if you don’t use the clutch. But it only works with PC.

Yes I just got the basic and mounted it using their hardware. I got the long shaft handle but that that’s just preference. Removed the clamp and bolted it right to the 4080 shifter arm. Super smooth and fast if that’s what you like, and it feels like you’re moving mechanical linkage. You can also set it heavy as hell and abuse the **** out of it should you desire so, slam gears like and old group C car. Which can be fun. I mean Slam gears.

Hi, new poster here with quick question. Does anyone know if Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake V2 works with Drivehub for PS5/GT7?

“Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake” is listed on DH website, but seems likely to be referring to V1.

There is a guy on YouTube who could not get HE handbrake V2 to work through DH, but that was also two years ago.

I’ve learned through this forum and looking at the DH site that the accuracy and clarity of DH’s compatibility list leaves quite a bit to be desired and generally cannot be relied upon. Thanks for your help.

I have just flashed the beta 43 firmware to test out the Simagic DX-8H shifter with Logitech GPRO wheel in GT7.
Initial testing on a few tracks using the H pattern seems to work well so far, all gears including reverse register correctly.

Previously have been using this wheel and shifter combo flawlessly on PC (AC/WRC) so have always felt the Drivehub firmware was not playing nicely with GT7.

Might be a bit early to confirm everything works perfectly... but so far so good.
The GPRO wheel is connected via controller port and DX-8H shifter in the accessory port on the Drivehub unit

Wow! That is amazing! How long did you test it for? And what do you mean by flashed the beta firmware?

I almost couldn't believe it myself! Only had time for a few short races around spa and tsukuba to test the basics out.
Flashed/installed the new firmware using their cmupdatertool appt

That is just wonderful. I was thinking about getting simagic ds-8x. But it wasn't actually compatible with with drivehub. I ordered fanatec shifter. But my question is are you using any powered usb hub?

Hopefully I'll have more time this weekend to give it a proper test.

Not using a powered usb hub. The wheel and shifter are plugged straight into DriveHub which is plugged into the back of the PS5

Sounds like it is functioning pretty well. I guess I should cancel my fanatec order and wait for your review and go from there.

Hey guys,

This might be a dumb question and I did try searching and I couldn't find the answer, but using a PC Wheel and wheel base for Logitech DD11 and Pro pedals on PS5, will I still require the Logitech racing adapter for the pedal assembly? Or will the drive hub allow it to work with PS5 and bypass using the Logitech racing adapter?

Thanks all

The pedals would plug into the G Pro wheel base. You’d plug the wheel base into the drive hub along with one of the supported controllers to bypass authentication.

Awesome thank you, I thought that was the case but wanted to be sure! Thanks for the quick response!

I ended up double checking the firmware on my DriveHub, it indeed was already on Beta 43. So still having issues on my end with my DS-8X. It can sometimes take as long as 20 minutes for the issues to start cropping up during a single play session for me. Sometimes it'll happen in as little as 5 minutes though.

If I play without using the clutch pedal I have no issues whatsoever. This will also apply to most cars with a racing transmission.
