Out of curiosity, what firmware is your shifter on?

Ok. Thats the same as mine. The only version available to download is 1.0.11 (which I haven’t done). I’m guessing it’s either my shifter or my specific DriveHub. I might try again without the powered USB hub, though that was giving me issues too.

Are you running on a PS4, PS5, or PS5 Pro?

Interesting, I don't think I was given the option to "upgrade" (downgrade?) to 1.0.11 when I plugged it into my PC to check the firmware version.

Just the standard PS5. Might sound silly but have you tried using a different USB cable?

SimMagic has separate software to upgrade the DS-8X.

That is on my list of things to try. They do include two in the box I think too. I did try a different USB cable from the shifter to the hub already.

Quick update on testing the Simagic DS-8X shifter with the Logitech GPRO, did some longer races (Sardegna 800 etc) over the weekend using the H-pattern + clutch. Everything worked as expected, no issues.

I didn't get around to testing sequential mode though

Where did you purchase the ds-8x? I may roll the dice and grab one.

Hi I’ve not been on this forum for a while took a break from sim racing too.

I've got the csl dd 8nm and drive hub And McLaren v2 wheel. Should I update to the latest firmware or beta? I’m on firmware 33 and the last time I asked someone mentioned it works once then had to be resetted. Will the new firmware give better ffb? And do I update from the program or search for the latest on git?

I'm based in New Zealand, so purchased it last year from an official reseller here (simblacks.co.nz)

@morgin187 - Unsure about your specific wheel setup and ffb changes, but I used their program to update firmware from 35 to 43

There is anew DriveHub firmware out as it looks like 2.1.2 is now out of beta (beta versions still available to download as well). Unfortunately it didn’t fix my issues. I figure out my power issues, my powered hub wasn’t plugged into the accessory port.
