Driveclub feature request OT (Thank you EVO)

No bs like vista mode.

Cars, some murican and JDM more tracks roads which we will be getting.

I want mods and tuning in the future, have not heard anything about that.

I like Vista mode quite a bit in Forza. its a nice way to explore the interior and exterior of vehicles up close that you will never get to see in real life.

Yeah, I'd like DC to something like this, makes us enjoy the visuals maybe add a studio like place for that and allow us to take pictures.

From simple/likely to hard/unlikely

simple- I'd love that the default highlighting in the menu for drift events was 'try again' so I can just mash X to retry without having to make sure I dont' click the 'finish event' by mistake

medium- Some sort of telemetry/lap-analisys that I can use to see where I am losing/gaining time compared to my best around that particular corner

very unlikely- some way to use my G27 with DC :)

I want the Nurburgring in DC, I find all the tracks visually amazing but they just don't bring me that feeling of "Wow" like nurburgring.

I'm not one for wish-lists really. However, I would like at some point for the option to lock challenges to the same parameters the creator is using, such as driver's view; no map. I suppose that would turn too many people off accepting those particular ones though.

I saw a Peugeot Onyx in one of the vids. Will this come as DLC or is it already in the game?
Fairly sure it isn't there yet, so hopefully the former.

As an aside, I truly don't understand the complaints I've seen out there about the car list so far - up until now they have been pretty varied and quite exotic. I suppose what I'm saying is that Evolution's choice list has been interesting to date and I think that given the trend so far, it will not fail to please in the long run.

Think all it's missing is some Asian love!

Well, yeah...but given that DLC has only just started and Japan has 'leaked' as a future location, we can rest assured that a few will quite probably appear, at some point :)

EDIT: Not long for you now, eh? I do hope that you enjoy :)

I am very, very excited! :D Can't wait, going to be playing Captain Toad all of tomorrow so I have no excuse to not play the hell out of my brand new PS4.

I will be picking up the season pass I'm sure, I think Evo will come through.

I love that you have such an enthusiasm for Nintendo - it makes me want to get back on my WiiU and play some Lego City undercover!

I would like to see a couple of small things that I think would really benefit an already awesome game :)

- turn your ghost on/off with one button
-create your own tournaments, with the option to chose the tracks and your opponents
-option to race against the same cars, instead of a collection from the same class
-Replays! with a photomode offcourse :)
-A proper revcounter that actually shows RPM... :)
-Sort challenges on type, I only do time trials and don't want to wade through a hundred drift and race challenges

It's not really DLC and more of an update but I'd like to see the cockpit view with the dials aswell showing speed and gear

There are rev counters, and dials, even gear indicators...trouble is, they're the real dials on the dashboard, so a bit tricky to keep an eye on  It doesn't take too much to get used to though, if you want.

Thanks!

I think there are some good suggestions here, not the usual extreme game overhaul wishes you usually see with these lists :D

Yeah I've tried to compile the realistic ones, I'm sure I've missed a few so if anyone has anything to add I will.

This is probably really trivial, and maybe due to the amount of work the console is already doing, improbable, but I think it'd be really cool and really nice to see the back wiper of the few cars that have it actually work.

I'd also like to see FULL car interiors, so when you're in cockpit view, when you look back, you see a backseat and out your rearview, and for cars that don't have a rear window you have to rely on the mirror or switch views.

Another thing too, I'd like it if the mirrors acted like real world mirrors and showed the parts of the rear of the cabin. Definitely not going to happen, but I feel like if any game does that it would be Driveclub (or GT7).

something i'll love to see in the game it's more description of each tracks
like the lenght and the exact location and why not a little descriptive of the city:)

but the most important is the lenght

in MP

- fastest lap (at the end of the race it should show the fastest laps and possibly award extra fame if you get it)
- longer races (besides the 'All Canada tracks', 'All India tracks', ... there should be lobbies like 'All Canada tracks (long)' etc. with 10-20 laps available)
- some sort of ELO matching for MP where you pick the lobby based on your ability vs based on the location (to have closer races)
- some sort of basic communication support ('nice pass', 'nice race', 'sorry', 'nice battle', ...) something like Heartstone basically (maybe a pop-up with a button + d-pad to select?)

- More locations in more exotic areas that are rarely found in a racing game, like Romania, Thailand, New Zealand, Egypt and my country of birth, South Africa.
- The ability to change factory colours of cars.
- Increase the on-track car count to 16 for MP events.
- The ability to unlock and apply body customisations.
- Remove the Drift Face-Offs if you are driving a FWD or 4WD car.
- FWD and 4WD cars are not to be allowed in Drift events.
- Include a 'Drive Type' notation as well as more in-depth specs for all the cars.

I cannot disagree with car tuning, but I think Driveclub has no car tuning by design.

I seeing Driveclub as a casual racing game for PS4 end-users made by first party developer. Simply a racing game that actually playable by all PS4 owners from casual to hardcore gamers. No complications with car setting/tuning because not all people will understand it (engine settings, suspension settings, etc).

The only thing required is a skill to control your car without afraid to think "hmm, what is the car settings he used? he is really fast!" -- IMO, most end-users will be annoyed by this.

Or maybe you want the NFSMW 2013-style car tuning style? I think it is still not necessary.

Driveclub without car tuning? It is okay, and I agree.

If you want more customization options I think you should go with GT or upcoming Project CARS.

CMIIW.

@mokalovesoulmat, I would actually be disappointed if there was a tuning option in the game. PGR4 didn't have a tuning feature, and I was thankful for it because it would be kind of difficult to implement, and laborious to use. Driveclub doesn't claim to be a sim, so I don't see what all the fuss is about.

which is awesome so I can just drop in and race without having to track down setups for every single car to be competitive, I can see having setups in a PC sim with *limited* cars so you can focus on your own series, but I am soooo glad DC does not have it, one of the main reasons I bought it, for folks that want setups and customizations there's plenty of games already, and given how many people miss shuffle mode in GT6 I am sure I am not the only one that feels this way...
