Driveclub feature request OT (Thank you EVO)

- The ability to change factory colours of cars.

You can already do that. Go into the car editor, turn off liveries/numbers and just change the colour of the car.

Also, on neogaf, the producer of the game "Rushy" has recently stated that based on feedback, they are looking in to adding a change colour section to the area where you choose the car for the race (to make it easier).

What I meant was having a choice between manufacturer colours to choose from when selecting a car before a race begins, like all other racing games.

...
- longer races (besides the 'All Canada tracks', 'All India tracks', ... there should be lobbies like 'All Canada tracks (long)' etc. with 10-20 laps available)
I saw an Endurance race online today, I think it was ten laps in hypercars. The types do seem to change very frequently as they're always quite different each time I pop in to have a look.

I think that was what was being said in the second paragraph.

Here's one - adjust the difficulty.

There's no way in hell that all of the AI take the corner hardly even breaking flawlessly.

last night I noticed these too, are they new? It's awesome to see them available, now hopefully more people will join them when they're up, this said the first endurance I got 'server problems' about 1/4th of the way through (argh, hate how it just kicks you off) and the second I *just* finished it, took a little over 10 min, before 'server problems' again, which would've been bad had it happened 30 sec before... I think I got about 100k+ fame from the race, which was more than I expected.

This was the first evening that I've had these random disconnects, always been rock solid for me for the past week outside of the Christmas day and day after PSN issues

I think I've seen enduro races before, but to be honest, I don't always get the chance to go into MP - especially not since the challenges went live, so I can't say how often they crop up.

Oops, my bad, didn't read it properly.
No worries, though that was what had happened :)

unfortunately the endurance races lasted maybe a day or two, never seen them since :( DC is such an awesome game but the online portion really needs a lot of work, it is also annoying to see the same races available every 2 minutes and when you join there's maybe 4 people in the lobby (1 or 2 of whom always drop when they see there's so few).

With two small changes the online would be amazing:

- ONLY ONE lobby by type should be available at the same time, ONLY once the lobby reaches, say, 10 player then it should launch and a new one is created waiting for new players

- Immediately after a race is finished there should be a 'do you want to race this again yes/no' request so if folks had a good race they can rerun it immediately without waiting for 5 minutes going through the lobby screen and so on, ideally the new grid would be in the order the previous grid finished, this would be allowed only if say 2/3rds of the people say 'yes' otherwise it'd go back to the lobby to let others join.

it is so annoying to waste half an hour to get in a decent race but then it's over in 3 minutes and it's back to square one

Here are a few ideas I have.

1. Wiper blade control - the d-pad could be used to slow down or speed up your wiper blades. This would be expesially helpful because the speed of the blades does not change with increased speed leaving the driver blind at some points.
2. Combination of point-point tracks. I couldn't help but notice some track end where others begin and some are relatively short. By using track already created and by simply combining them into one larger would be great for longer rides.
3. Same idea as the wiper blades but with headlights. Press down on d-pad to turn lights on/off. This would be good for night driving in rain/snow as you cannot see a single thing with the headlights.

It was confirmed a day or so ago that they are working on private lobbies and the MP section in general. They seem to surprise us with a few additional things when they bring something into the game like that, so who knows.

Stability of the MP mode is also something needed before much different can be achieved with it, or indeed, new ideas be tried out.

Personally, that whole re-race the same track thing got extremely old for me very quickly in GT5 and WRC3 as well as 4. People would vote on the latter game, but invariably we'd all end up doing the first stage endlessly, just because a few people had spend a few days straight getting it perfect. Same applied in some respect for GT - but it was more down to who had an optimised tune for their car - I have literally seen the same track selected four times in a row, maybe more...I usually get out around that point.

I think the idea would be fine if the repeat option was limited though.

Free race mode online and off. You cannot drive backwards and they restricted even more with last update.

Full track online/offline drift race with team full track drift racing.

Drift penalties, no more wipeout drifting to ridiculous scores.

- Being able to see lap times of each round (just like Gran Turismo)
- More music
- Sorting option in the car selection screen
- Being able to choose what replay ghost you want to race
- Being able to watch the replays of the top 10 (or just the world record) of each track leaderboard
- Accolades for the DLCs (like "play 100 events in Japan", "300km with the Jaguar" and so on)
- Increased level cap for owner of the DLCs

The gained XP so far should be retro-active.

For example:
As of now, you need like ~14mio XP for Level 50. Then, level cap got increased by 50, so 100 level in total. For Level 51 you'll need something around 15mio XP, for 60 24mio, 75 40mio, ... you have 24mio XP and will be automatically be on Level 60 once the level cap update has rolled out.

For motivation they should add new accolades, see above.

New update released here is the changelog

» Adds Replays to the game for all Single Events and Tours. You can now save a Replay at the end of any single player event and view it later from the Replays section.
» Photomode can be used from within a Replay at any point.
» Introduces a new Driver Level 50 reward: You can now unlock the Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione for your Garage!
» Refines Drift Mode scoring to increase the points scored for momentum, control and staying on the track.
» Adjusts the drag reduction when veering off road, so that accidentally leaving the track slows you down more gradually.
» Adjusts the drag penalty on world collisions, to remove the possibility of gaining any advantage after colliding with a wall.
» Adds the option to control screen brightness in-game (new Display Option).
» Adds the option to change the volume levels on individual SFX channels (new Audio options in Settings).
» Adds the option to make the AI opponents in a Single Event drive in the same car as the one the player chooses.
» Adds the option to select factory paint jobs for AI opponents (new Display Option).
» Removes the voicechat icon for any player you have chosen to mute in Multiplayer while you are driving.

» Improves the atmospheric visual effects further by improving heathaze and introducing mirages, which are visible on the road when light is refracted by hot air.
» Includes more minor bug fixes, performance improvements and usability tweaks.

will update OP and as always thanks to EVO for their support.

My 2 cents:

- more slots for custom liveries;
- a favorite cars section within the garage.

- a sharefactory theme for Driveclub (I know it's not up to Evolution Studios this one)

Here's another few suggestions:

- Add a 'final lap' notification.
- Include a music playlist feature to enable/disable certain tracks in the menu/in-game
- Include the ability to create custom Championships, offline and online.
- Add a 'Lap Knockout' mode
- Include the ability to select AI opponents according to preset categories, e.g. 'British Hyper Cars", "Track Cars" etc.
- Add seasons, can be dependent on PS4's locale or not. The sun will set earlier in winter (and vice versa), trees will have falling leaves in autumn, and Norway will have a Solar Midnight or Polar Night (Imagine how cool that would be?)

HAVE PHOTO MODE CAMERA PARAMETERS REMAIN FOR CURRENT SESSION
- It's a pain when you have to change them each time you go to take a photo.

ABILITY TO CONTROL WINDSCREEN WIPERS
- I would like to control my wipers as the set speed is quite often nowhere near fast enough to clear the water.

Am I the only person who would love to see some play-time statistics? X amount of hours played/spent in hyper car racers etc etc. Think that could be interesting, one thing I love about the Wii U and Xbox One is how it tracks gameplay time native into the system OS. Since Sony doesn't do it, I'd like to see Evolution implement it themselves for Driveclub!

Absolutely agree and exactly what I'm going to moan about! But have to say the latest update is gorgeous, Evo is actually listening....unlike PD....haha!

Driveclub new update to add replay....but the wheel will spin while playing back battles...stupid thought Evo how do we supposed to let people to access buttons on the wheel like photo shooting? It's all wrong.....get it fix already! And how do we supposed to pan the camera by using a wheel, say T300 RS? Can we use a DS4 to control interface while the wheel is still active??

Updated the OP again, just a heads up but can you guys post your requests in the format in the OP

Here are my suggestions:
1) Be able to bring up the HUD with a button OR have the HUD come up automatically at the end of each section and then go off automatically
2) Fully customizable controls( For example, I use motion controls so it would be great to have left-stick up for brake to go along with the right-stick up for accelerate)
3) Add random (day) and random (night) to time of day options.
4) Allow option to select the starting conditions for dynamic weather.
5) More sense of danger. You really should be able to die. Right now there is just no sense of fear even when going at 300km/h...

That's a bit violent, isn't it? :D
What about some mechanical damage instead?

Tbh, it really needs both. Mechanical damage would be a good start though...

(An alternative would be forced to retire due to damage, that's less violent :))

Yeah being dead is a bit of a weird request

OP updated 👍

Being forced to retire from mechanical damage would do it for me.:P

Not as if dying in games is anything new, I just think it being possible would add realism, but I guess being forced to retire by mechanical damage would achieve the same thing.
