Getting back into Driveclub after almost a month away. I decided to start off with the McLaren P1 GTR since I was unable to get through the crowds to take a photo of it at a car show I went to on Sunday...

I saw perhaps the best convoy of vehicles I'll ever see at that show on Sunday... A Lamborghini Aventador SV followed by an AMG GT3 followed by the McLaren P1, then the P1 GTR, then the F1 GTR Longtail... All in one place! All was going really well untill the P1 GTR reversed straight into a wall!!! OOPS!

Anyway... Photos! I decided to go for an artistic feel for these ones. In my opinion, it paid off rather well!

I really can't stand the sight of Chrome cars (Or gold cars for that matter) but this photo is perfect. The only photo I've seen which turns the chrome into an advantage! I also love the minimalistic approach to the photo, and the composition is spot on!👍

Thank you:bowdown: I tried to capture a minimal look as you say, even quite bland but enough chrome reflection to catch the eye..Well that was what I was aiming for and glad you can see that in it ..Great photos from all you guys as usual..the photomode is great and look forward to their new game they are working on with codies.👍

p.s @xHACHIK0 Where was this car show, near you? With all those nice Supercars :D? The ones I have been to have only had the odd nice car that I couldn't get near. I have been looking for a car show to try out my Real life camera I wish to practice on the techniques I have picked up from all the in game cameras. @RL_23 gave me some tips (from his excellent Rally shots:bowdown:) for the speed and focus in real life which takes practice with the light etc..Looks like you prefer the 'macro' side of things ;)

It was Goodwood Breakfast Club. It's a free-entry car show hosted on Goodwood Racecourse (In the Chichester area the first Sunday of the month. (No Goodwood next month as it's so close to Festival of Speed, though August's theme is Thoroughbred Sunday). There were some stunning cars there this time. To name some of the highlights of what was there...

McLaren P1/P1 GTR/F1 GTR Longtail/MP4/650/570

Ferrari F40/F50/F12/Dino 246GT/FF/599 GTO/488 GTB

Lamborghini Huracan/Gallardo/Murcielago/Aventador SV

Othercars included Aston DB5 / Porsche 918 / Zonda / XJ220C / AMG GT3 etc...

So, as you can see, there's plenty of great vehicles to get up close and personal with at no cost. The theme changes everytime too. Later in the year is Italian Sunday!! *Drool!*

Another car show I would recommend is Wilton Classics & Supercars. It's not on this year as they are doing an overhaul, though it's returning next June. It does cost though, but the cars there are worth every penny. They even have the 250 GTO there!

Last but not least, indeed. I like the finer details. I'm still a complete rookie when it comes to Automotive photography though, so I try my best. I had to throw out half the photos from Sunday as they were blurry. :banghead:

@xHACHIK0 Yes real life photos are not easy and I admire some of the shots that are taken at shows and race tracks from the Pros..Yours look great and good choice of shots  and I hope to have some more practice by the end of the Year with real cars the more I get in to photography (I am still a novice by the standards I see in here and real life) I do fancy Goodwood one day so that is good to hear about the Breakfast Club 👍 practice makes perfect they say and that is one reason I post so many as I like trying all different angles and shots and just haven't the will power to stop at one pic if I see another one on the replay etc.:ill:

Are my chrome shots really that upsetting? A chap could get a complex about this sort of thing :sly:

I cry uncontrollably when I see them! :(

They aren't bad. I just can't stand cars being put in full chrome or gold, or anything similar. Not even a fan of liveries. It's just down to everyone having their own taste. I can definitely see the reason why you all use the Chrome as it amplifies the reflections, though it's very hard to get the photo perfect where the chrome is not overpowering the rest og the photo. Torque achieved that perfectly as the car is a good distance away from the camera, the chrome is not overpowering and it adds effect to the photo itself.

I'd say keep at it, and you never know, I might be praising one of your chrome shots next!

One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to take a break. Whether it's a week or a month, stop taking photos. When you go back to the photomode, you'll have a fresh mind. The results you'll then achieve will be significantly better than before.

That's what works with me anyway. 👍

@MeanElf your shots are great as always- Love the Dynamic balloons and seagulls-

@xHACHIK0 Too late as took a one or twelve last night ;) but good idea I will have a little break for a few days and have a go at editing the ones I took to refresh my ideas as I think I would be in rehab after a month away from the photos (addicted) as I prefer the photomode in games to driving lately.

I have started to download the Free PS+ game this month NBA 2k16 (44gb) so when that fully downloads I will be on there as well for a break

Thanks Mr @torque99 👍 You should give Far Cry Primal for a change of pace - plenty to do and no actual photo mode but the game is immensely pretty at the same time...or you could always get back into Borderlands :)

@MeanElf Thanks I have Ratchet & Clank to finish off after beating that big angry boss I thought I had finished but there is another planet and another badd boss to try and beat after all that :lol: so I have a little time on this yet!, then NBA and the odd game of Motorstorm on PS3, although a good idea to try Far Cry Primal:cheers:, my friend is going to lend me Star Wars Battlefront for a week or so I will see what that is like too:tup:

These few from last night I messed around with trying to edit them but they look no different maybe a bit softer than my usual photos..
