I don't know about you guys but I would defenitely buy a second season pass. $25 for the current one is bargain with all the cars. A couple new locales and city tracks would be great post July too :gtpflag:

I'd buy a 2nd season pass too. There's been this terrible DLC thing going on so many franchises that is so ridiculous. You never feel you bought a complete game. It's even worse and you realize that you are buying the DLCs, and in fact you are paying just to open a little in game key.

Driveclub however, keeps getting more and more value. For the price paid to get a pass, I think the content delivered is at least fair. New cars, new events, new trophies. There's also this sense of evolution (no pun intended) of the game. DC is a way better game now than it was in its release.

Problem is i did not buy the season pass...I did not think the game was that good....However i started to like it once i got used to the very odd physics and bought a couple of DLC....Now after really liking the game and BUYING EVERY DLC i feel totally ripped off.

Sure it's more and more value but the way they priced the game was a disgrace...i bought it at full price...2 seconds later it was half price...Then the season pass was extremely cheap. Total kick in the balls for someone liker myself. I feel totally ripped off by EVO studio's!

When Evo said they'd listen to the community, I didn't think it would be to this extent! They truly are adding cars that people want (Lambos), features (replays, private lobbies, weather, increase in levels). They really are receptive to community feedback and that's what makes DriveClub a truly evolving racing game that feels as fresh as it did the day it came out.

...So, in a few sections on a good few tracks recently I've only been getting my own top score in Face-off challenges...anybody else getting this? It's in single events mostly, not solo challenges or tour events.
Yep, I've faced my own drift-scores, corner face-offs and the rest quite a lot over the past five months - I also get face-offs taken from players on my FL including my other account - they may not necessarily be that person's best time/speed or drift score, as the game does still seem to apply the dangled carrot method. I also noticed from using my other account, that the community challenges are different from the ones my main account sees - I think they are all from people around your own level. Even the EvolutionStudios challenges are different, though quite how they manage that, I don't know.

So, now that I've spent an entire evening playing Driveclub, my initial impressions are so far great.

+ Overall, the graphics are excellent along with the rock-solid framerate.
+ The dynamic weather and day and night cycle is fantastic.
+ The sense of speed is some of the best I've experienced in a racing game and for once, I'm actually enjoying driving with the narrow FOV camera position.
+ As far as the physics go, it's fun, and easy to pick (opinion) up but hard to master if you're a competitive leaderboard whore.
+ Absolutely loving the fast loading times and the simple UI.

- While I'm really digging the eurocentric car list, I sorely miss our beloved Asian manufacturers. Lexus LFA and Nissan R390, at least, please?
- Needs city based tracks.

That's it for now. For whatever reason, this game brings back fond memories of older racers. Can't really put my finger on why exactly though.

Edit : I'm also seriously considering picking up the Season Pass when the next paycheck arrives. Went through the available DLC and it really does appears like complete steal, even at this point for around $25.

Oh man! I understand you. Buying a game just to see its price getting cheaper right after... I don't have that good memory, but I think the price dropped because of the flaws the game had when released. So I think if DC had all the features intended to be working on release date working, the price would be closer to be fair.

Yeah right?! I just hope for 2 things:

- may the release fiasco don't stop the progress of DC becoming a game series and giving us more installments. I'd like to see more of it as this console generation goes.
- if the franchise get to be bigger and get more installments, let's pray Evo keeps listening to the community.

Sadly, I'm feeling myself getting a bit over-run with Driveclub. Just hit 37.7 million driver points since December 25th and can't seem to be bothered chasing accolades any longer. :( Recently I've been doing solo challenges and the like but I'm finding myself getting a bit tired of them. Hopefully this coming week reignites my addiction! It really is the only game I've extensively played on PS4, loved every second thus far but feel I've hit my skill celing!

Hang on in there mate, it's just over a week away til those rampant Bulls and the Lion get let loose :) I know that it isn't everything, but I have found, as I'm sure you have, that new car packs give you the keys to the kingdom all over again.

Having said that, I haven't been exclusive to DC all this time, as I have also been playing other games when the need or opportunity arose - 37.7 isn't to be sneezed at though, I think that's not far off my current total. I do also have photomode to keep me driving as well.

EDIT: and what are you doing up at this time of night?

I haven't played anything as much as this game, second would be Minecraft and Terraria. The DLC is harder than it needs to be and I'm not a fan of hyper races. So close to LVL 50.....

Update 1.12 is on.

Edit: A bit to late. ;)
Not really, as it was probably still downloading as you were writing that, so bang on time I'd say :D

EDIT: lots of great views to chose from if you use R1 to cycle through from trackside to close in, then select a whole array of views around the car, fixed for the duration or until you change it.

Great track sounds too 👍

0.60GB 👍

I just posted this on the photo thread for someone else from the face book page

Each time when I start the game, I get the results of my participated community challenges which is normal. However, after I press X to confirm and to dismiss the challenge results, I'm getting the "Obtained Objects" (don't know the english word phrase exactly) screen; unlocked 4 cars, 256 designs and 336 club icons and always the same. Thing is I've already unlocked all the objects months ago but I'm still getting this screen!

Anyone else with this problem?

I was playing Driveclub!
Silly of me - of course you were :D

Yep, had it for some time - it only happens occasionally though, but can be irritating. The word you were looking for is 'unlocks' or 'unlocked items' :)

From what I can gather this is due to the server which holds club information glitching. Occasionally clubs will revert back to 'origin' status(Level 1, no members) and thus when the correct information is retrieved the game presumes the club has merely leveled up in a ridiculous amount of time. You can force this glitch by trying to add a new member to your club if anyone is interested in seeing it for themselves.

The reason it happens mostly when you turn the game on is because the servers also seem to be a bit slow(also highlighted in the delay on leaderboards) so Driveclub takes a while to get the correct online information for the user.

what?

Those buggies would be pretty interesting. Rally coming soon maybe? In that case:

Subaru Impreza P1 and Lancer Evo TM Edition. The perfect duo for Driveclub
