I was sad to hear about the layoffs. None of those talented guys/gals deserved it.
As for EVO I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I adore DriveClub and am ecstatic that it will be supported for a very long time with new countries/cars. But on the other hand, it will most likely be Evo's last game. Motorstorm PS4 is a pipedream and DriveClub 2 is all but a dream. When you look at the launch, sure it was rough, but they've righted the ship and supported the game like every game should be supported. They've added weather, photo mode, replays, free cars/tracks, and improvements that everyone was screaming for. At the end of the day, there are far worse things than more DriveClub.

Despite the initial "problems" at Launch, there are / were some very talented & imaginative people at Evo Studios. It's nice when something comes out that is innovative & a little different. Well done to all involved in DRIVECLUB, I'm enjoying it immensely. In fact, it's the reason I bought a PS4

I'm also very sorry to hear the latest news, :banghead: didn't know about the previous lay off's. 👎 Booo Hisss

Wishing all Evo folk (past & present) all the very best for the future.

Tried to reach the top 2000 of the total fame global leaderboards some months ago. Now I'm trying to enter the top 100. :P Currently placed #283... as expected, at this point it takes ages to get higher placed (also because I don't play the game that much anymore).

I'm interested in how much fame/points you have?
My club is 10th in the world

What are people's opinion's on how this game "handles"? Like how the car's feel when driving them? I'm like about a click away from buying this. :P

Leans more to Simulator type handling, it's not your typical arcade take a 90 degree corner at 200kmh kinda game. Use Precision like GT and the handling will reward you nicely, takes some getting used to though. Quite tight but it's easy to let loose. It's a fun handling model I rate

Thanks! :D Time to burn a hole in my wallet. :P

I Agree you won't be disappointed - Just have in your mind it is a fun fast arcade racer with dynamic full weather(lots of rain but you can choose weather on your own race/time trials) with race tracks, circuits and point to point racing but not full on arcade or sim handling a nice compromise and realistic interiors, engine sounds and scenery--A hard tour/career and tons of DLC and monthly updates..Oh and it is a jump in and play game-quick to select race and quick loading times and lots of info on FB or twitter and here-Photo mode on it is great too ;) (see thread) Enjoy 👍

Don't game devs face lay-offs after a game is done?, weird though since I think DC sold well.
Driveclub's sales were mostly down to bundling, I have no doubt in my mind that was the case. In the UK it was cheaper to buy a PS4 with Driveclub than it was to buy a PS4 alone.

The lay-offs make sense with the current situation at Sony, cost-cutting measures happening everywhere in the company, really.

Yeah that's true but still the game wasn't exactly a flop (unlike the Order), hashtag Save UK devs

So, what does everyone do now on the game since we still don't have higher levels? I go on solo challenges and one-shot about 10 of them to get roughly 500,000 XP each 2 days, works well for getting myself a bit higher(currently world #1800) and also for my club, which is at level 40, just off 41. Getting a club to Level 50 really takes some effort!

I just mainly do time trial challenges now the club i'm in is just about to hit level 40. Oh and @Classic I beat a few of your times on meanelfs challenges.
You did indeed. Funnily enough, the club I'm in is at level 40 (just shy of) but there's pretty much just me there now being active. I do the occasional challenge plus throw the various cars I haven't driven that much around the tracks I have equally ignored to satisfy my OCD stats-mania for the accolades.

It's goping to take one heck of a time - I also like setting up interesting scenarios for photos.

Lol I'm in the same club as you:lol: been putting a fare amount of points in too

I bought DC in December and I regret it. I rarely fire up the game.
I really HATE how the cars handle, the fun factor is missing for me and there's no customization (but we knew about it). The only good thing are the graphics, the best I've ever seen on any driving game.
Now I see the news about Evolution Studios layoffs http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/job-losses-at-driveclub-developer-evolution/0146964 so everything makes sense.
This is about DC.
Then we have PCars, which doesn't look very appealing to me since the graphics are a little "meh", there's no customization and only a couple of production cars.
GT7? it's not even worth mentioning.

I had A LOT of fun on X360 with FM3 and 4, I'll buy an Xbox One just for FM5 and 6.

Well I disagree with all that, the physics are very good (arcade my *** this game is much better than that) and it has quite a lot of fun factor.

As for PCARS, it is very visually impressive and will take GT and FM where they deserve to go...the museum. PCARS is going to be the best "motorsports" racing game on consoles and one of the elite on the PC. The depth of realism in it is impressive and I can't wait for its release and to drive in it.

But I digress...I will defend DC as it is actually a very good racer and deserves praise. 👍 And even when PCARS comes out I'll be playing Driveclub on the side too.

Anyways I drove the BMW M3 GTS and my God it's a monster.

Do you know i have always thought the rain droplets were far to big in this game...Was one of my biggest gripes. Today though i was having a hard time seeing out of the window due to the huge droplets so i changed from dash to cockpit cam...Bloody hell the rain droplets became normal size

I wouldnt mind seeing a reduced droplet size for us dashcam users :)
