It's the way the patches have always gone with DC - you download the latest, which includes the new.

It was said originally that only the new part downloads as your PS4 will detect that the earlier components have already been installed. Some folks don't believe that, stating it's still downloading, but to be truthful, it doesn't seem to take anything like the usual amount of time a 7+Gb patch would.

Every time a game gets updated on ps4 the update progress bar will show the size of all the patches applied + the size of the new update. The only way your ps4 is going to download all those Gb is if you delete the game.

Now thats an answer (both)! Thanks!

DRIVECLUB | Lamborghini Aventador (Gameplay):

My god the sound!

Just like I thought, they've reused the sound from the Icona Vulcano... Not too bad but I was hoping for a slight tweaking :/

Still it's probably the best representation of the sound in any game...

I think they actually recorded the Aventador and used its sample for the Icona, I heard it IRL (the Lambo) and it sounds just like the video.

Nah, I cant agree with that. I hate those totally random online crashfests with always the same 6-12 track/car class combinations. Give me custom lobbies and I may give it another shot, but until then, I m done with DC online.

Really sad about the layoffs though. As catastrophic as the launch was, Evo deserved better for delivering afterwards, fixing issues with great support and really making the game something special nowadays. It is a pure, elegant arcade racer that hadnt been made like that for years - a nice throwback to the early NfS or to Test Drive series.

I didn't want you to agree with me it's my opinion. If your done with driveclub online that's your opinion. Until hen I'll keep enjoying online while I can :).

The Pacesetter Tour, Onyx, and Livery packs are on US PSN store now, Don't see the actual pack yet either.

The Onyx is cool as hell. Even the copper siding has slight dents in it to replicate real copper.

The Lamborghinis are going to be great but I am really looking forward to trying the Peugeot Onyx Concept. It looks fantastic and it's different in that it is a diesel hybrid.

Any videos or photos of it gladly accepted.

I'm left totally confused with this update... It shows 5.00mb/7.16gb :banghead: why!?!

And yes I've downloaded every update since the release and it should be 50mb...

So I made my return to DriveClub after not touching it for months...and I still find it infuriating and impossibly hard.

What makes things extra frustrating is I've been playing racing games for years and years and I've never had this much trouble.

I wish someone could point me in the direction of what I'm doing wrong, because I really wish I could get into the game.

What's your exact problem with the game? physics? AI?

I can hardly turn corners without hitting walls, and I can never stay in front of the competition without getting passed up on every straightaway.

On top of that the races aren't long enough to leave any margin for error and one slight mishap will cost you the race.

Are you using controller or steering wheel?
Have a look and try exploring the configurations and setups of the steering wheel/controller. They affect the drive, making it easier to control or harder to control. A good adjust there should help you a lot. About the short races, you can still setup your own customized races and they give you some XP. You can put as many laps you want so you got time to recover.

But it is true that this game is unforgiving... And a not so big mistake can take you from podium to last in a matter of seconds. But when playing DriveClub I change my drivestyle to less risky (and more agressive because the AI is agressive). Even if you have to slow a bit, that prevents you from losing the entire race on just one turn. If you have PS Plus and play multiplayer, this is not a big problem since people there do mistakes all the time.

EDIT: Some cars are better or worse than others. For example, the R8 is very dissapointing, and it is hard to get good positions with it.

Assuming you don't wipe-out spectacularly during an event, the AI tend to adjust to your pace at anything lower than Legend class and you will have the chance to recoup during the rest of the race.

Other than that, all I can suggest is relaxing, treat it like fun and see how you go. The game doesn't keep score about how many races you win or lose, so take as many attempts as is needed, try different, maybe illogical approaches to corners and see how that goes.

That's what I was gonna point.

Driveclub is an arcade game, and it flows in its own way. There's plenty of room to be driving much more agressively. If you start a time trial for example, and start beating people's time you are going to see that the faster the time, more agressive the approach on turns people take. It gets to be even confusing for a player used to games closer to simulation.

I'd say try to master one track with a reasonably fast car. Try finding the limits there and understand how to be fast in this game. Once you are used to it, get back to the tours.

My track suggestion: asagiri v3. In my opinion is a fast track where you have tackle on the curbs (mainly in the final sector) to get a good time. Try it on the Mclaren 650S. The car handles well.

Ouch! I hate that car ;) I agree with the track choice and idea, but I'd say pick a sports or performance level car first before leaping in with the big boys :)

I agree with you mean elf, the 650s is a bad car. I drove the onyx (since I can't buy the lamborghini expansion pack) and it was slightly slower then the huayra. I was surprised it set a time that fast. The looks reminds me of the bmw i8.

That's racist! :D

Controls in Driveclub are very sensitive. For example, with the default controls it's like I'm drunk but with my own configuration it's a total breeze.

Evo have been hitting the nail on the head when it comes to adding cars people want. F50, F Type, Veneno, One:1, 650S, F1, Enzo... It's like they actually listen to what we ask for and not give us some interior-less Concept cars.

I can't wait to see what comes later this year.

Oh god imangine VGT cars in Driveclub... I'd pay for that.

I really wish that game reviewing sites would re-rate a game 1 year after release, after all of the absolutely fantastic updates and DLC I think Driveclub would get a 9 right now by IGN, Gameinformer, etc and maybe even a 10 in October.
