I thought I Explained wrong with the entire picture.

but repeating is just a simple detail.

What the hell! That was crazy the guy didn't even drift

EDIT: just checked the YouTube channel and it has loads of videos of him doing this on different tracks as well.
I've seen ghosts that looked like they were just driving around corners and still racking up stupid scores. I thought it looked fishy back then...

This is the answer to the question I asked..

Look at the score in the last drift corner. This is some serious drift exploit issue which need to be fixed as soon as possible.

This person is drifting like he is playing ridge racer. He is just throwing the car into the corner instead of balancing it like in GT.

I just got a random 300 mb update file that I can't find any information on... Anyone know what that was?

I don't want to sound mean but you didn't look very hard for the information. It was seven posts down on page 123. link below

Right, i assumed that was a lost of stuff coming, not the latest patch. What confused me was the fact that i was playing this morning and wasn't prompted to download the update... strange. Oh well.

I got levelled up to 55 automatically upon startup, due to all the points I gained since being at level 50. Good times, now raise the level cap a little more! I was hoping there would be enough levels to make all the 'club only' liveries available to people without clubs or people with inactive club members.

That's what makes me laugh. All us saddos who have accumulated ridiculous XP levels don't really get anything in terms of longevity with a few new levels! :P

Yeah, what was it - level 55 is 20 million, so that's just 5 million into my 53 million total to date. I don't mind though, we seem to have a folder for the 50+ liveries, so five more every month :)

anybody ever had issues with their laptime not registering in the leaderboard? *BOTH* last night and tonight it happened to me (never ever happened before), I put in a personal best, it registers, at the end when you say 'finish event' it gives you your PB time, but the leaderboard does not update (???????)

Very annoying! for example today in the Canada lambo evo challeng I did a first PB (1.31.07something) that registered, then a few laps later I did a 1.30.7x and that did not :( I have never seen this before, any ideas?

I've seen it several times - usually it catches up at some point.

For those not so into multiplayer, those 5 new levels were kinda "nah, whatever". I hope Evo will add more in the future.

Didn't have time to check anything else about this update.

there is no way this is not a bug, I decided to try again out of curiosity, enter the same challenge, do some laps trying to beat my previous 2nd best time (funnily when doing sector times it always said I was at +xx.xx which was my time, say the first sector I ran 32 sec, it told me I was at +32 sec (?) just like if the existing best time was at 0 seconds) which was 1.31.something, finally run a 1.30.8 and yay, ghost is updated, I pause and I see my PB in the leaderboard, cool

I keep going as I'm having fun and I run a 1.30.5, ghost is updated, I pause and check and why, no 1.30.5 in the leaderboard, still 1.30.8 (grrrr), I figured I'll give it a bit of time to update, keep driving, 1.30.3 (awesome! that's good for #4 on the leaderboard (which is awesome for an evo challenge), ghost updates, pause and guess what, still 1.30.8 in the leaderboard.

I do another ~10 laps, and give it another ~10 minutes paused and nothing, no update, it's as if if you do a PB in a challenge it counts the first you do and then no matter what you do it ignores your times when it comes to the server, the thing is though that my ghost is updated (for 1.30.3), it tells me my PB is 1.30.3, if I 'finish event' it will tell me it's 1.30.3, but the leaderboard won't update.

If I instead 'restart' the event it will restart with my PB at 1.30.8, just like if the other two better times didn't count :(

This is really disappointing.

you mean you keep driving and eventually it catches up? because I did a couple of laps after and no dice
More like letting the servers get out of their funk and catch up. It might take a day or so (and it is only once in a while) but I found that's what happened, they caught up and started displaying the correct info as before.

Personally I think it's to do with the work being carried out to strengthen the software infrastructure surrounding the social aspects of the game and of course the challenges - it all does seem stronger after periods any of tinkering. We had a fair amount of issues last month with servers being unresponsive and seemingly taking time out. There's nothing that can be done, if you are enjoying running those TT laps, then just relax, have fun and also faith that they'll catch up and load the correct new PBs in time.

not to be "that" guy, but...

WHY DO I STILL NOT HAVE A PICTURE IN THIS GAME.

I'm like the only GTPlanet member who doesn't. :(

Just got a PS4 yesterday with this game, and it is just extremly pretty in visuals (And I am used to PC) Handling is also good for an arcade racer, very fun.

I doubt it's a server issue, because yesterday I did 'restart event' and it kept only the PB that was synchronized with the servers, and not the one that I had in-game up to that point, this has never ever happened to me in this game before. I mean, the ghost had updated too and it just went poof when I restarted.

that is the thing, most of the fun for me is doing long sessions at a track I enjoy and just rack up the laps, if I have to stop every time I do a PB to finish the event and then start a new one it would be very annoying and take me out of the "flow", not to mention having to worry about my PB having been properly registered.

My money is still on this being server related. They needn't be completely down to do this, more like stressed under the load of several hundred thousand times being logged, compared and slotted into place. In any case, it should sort itself out in time, so I'm pretty positive your PBs are safe...just temporarily lost in transit.

I think I figured it out, it's not server related, it's replay related, when you get to the point where you get the message "maximum replay length exceeded" (or whatever it is, when you've run for long enough and it runs out of recording memory) any personal best you do will NOT be sent to the server and you will lose it. Happened again tonight, did a 1.30.6, saved, get the replay length thing, do a 1.30.4, NOT saved, restart, do a 1.30.5, saved, do a 1.29.9 two laps later (yay 1st place for now), saved

I strongly suggest anybody who is going for challenges online if you ever get the 'maximum replay length' message finish the event and restart it just in case.
