Yep, that's precisely what I ended up doing. All good now though, even if I was too tired to do more than try out the KTM and Caterham 👍 That M4 was pretty good tooSame for me, I had to get the upgrades "ïngame"

Stay slightly on the throttle while braking and let the car roll until it's perfectly aligned with the road. That KTM Rally in the Ignition Pack had me for some time.... There's a section of the track that has 2 consecutive hairpins that will make the car spin out easily when in a low gear (G2) even if you feather the throttle.
Managed to get a decent time though with golding the event
Have you notice that cars need now longer brake distance? It's like they change physics just a little and it's worse. I can't get close to some times on leaderboards. I was destroying them pretty much everywhere in lower classes but now after leader boards were cleaned up when i want to set those lap times again i can't get close to my ghosts.

How do you rate this game ussr?
Did I miss the post but did anyone else notice white Ferrari 458 Speciale in the ignition pack trailer? 0:38...
You have no soulPlayed it for half an hour on a mates PS4 this weekend, initial impressions:
- Great steering animations (something that's not that obvious in racing games)
- Graphics look nicer than i thought
- You really don't need to brake much
- Rubber banding in the initial phase was horrible, people spun out and screwed up and everyone managed to win the race anyway.
Overall it felt quite arcady like a NFS game, wasn't really my cup of tea as i got bored with it quite fast.
Good thing it's only in the beginning then . What's the point in doing races where you are going to win anyway regardless of how you drive. Also the lack of a damage model didn't really aid in the wish to drive cleanly. Anyhow if you are looking for an arcade racer the game will be entertaining as the (levels) tracks are quite pretty and the interiors are all beautifully done. You have no soul
Sort of connected to this, I noticed today in the DLC pack that there is no rubber-band at all (or at least very minimal.) I had a crunch early on in a RUF and only just caught up to the number nine position by the finish.
EDIT: Not sure how I missed this...

Unfortunately, that's has been pretty much every driving game I've tried - some to a stronger degree than others. What's the point in doing races where you are going to win anyway regardless of how you drive...
Nope we started from the beginning so they didn't give you one yet. Imagine if you wouldn't have to brake with a hypercar that would be totally ridiculousDid you get to play with any of the hyper cars? Those are the most fun and most difficult to tame, you definitely need to be braking, a lot.
They should ban rubber banding altogether.Unfortunately, that's has been pretty much every driving game I've tried - some to a stronger degree than others.
It's the 2 opposites of racing games and you wouldn't be able to judge how one would be without this qualification, so it's a good thing reviewers try to describe it like that. A true sim doesn't really exist on consoles anyway, physics wise the closest I've experienced was Racepro on the 360. Thing is if they would go for PC style simulation it would turn away a lot of the casual folk that aren't into racesims and find it way too difficult, so they have to make it a bit arcady always to keep the fun factor. It's really curious, this whole sim/arcade classification thing. I think Evolution's comments about it being neither is actually spot on. It has sim elements (pertaining to physics, such as the way the gears cannot be rapidly shifted down) but no tuning options, which doesn't actually make it automatically arcade, as some have suggested. There is no doubt about it, and never was, that arcade elements are present.
No biggie, it was the first next gen racing game i ever tried so i had to grab the opportunity.I didn't think you'd enjoy the game, but kudos to you for trying it out.

Yep, apparently increased DC's sales by 999% or somesuch - though that was a calculation based on previous chart position and the new one...A lot of the black friday deals for PS4 seemed to be flogging Driveclub with it, be watchful of the servers getting busier in the coming week!
- If you noticed any downtime recently, it’s because of a new server update. Everything should be back to normal.
- The next update for DriveClub is expected soon, with challenges available soon as well, and new modes to follow at a later date.
- A button-mapping fix for the Thrustmaster T300 RS is coming in the next update.
- On the amount of detail in DriveClub, they said, “We pour all of our passion into development, trying to capture every cars’ heart and soul + insane visual and audio detail.”
- Like the PS+ Edition, the Companion App won’t release until the “server capacity issues are fixed.”
- Weather is still coming this year in the “next free game update” and is “in the final stages of development. New sprint tracks will come early next year.”
- Replays are “coming in a future update,” with a 2015 release date all but guaranteed.
- A future update will add the right analog stick gas/brake option.
- “You can customize your car in the Garage (main menu) and we are going to add more defaults in a future update.”
- Processing in Photo Mode will be improved in a future update.
- Repeating what they’ve told us before, Evolution said, “Everybody on the team able to work on server improvements is doing so. Everyone else is working to improve and expand the core game.”
- They are looking into the Big Blocks 400 million cheat.
Apparently so, still on track for this month they say, in fact, I got the distinct impression it'd be very soon too.Weather this month? time to start saving up and take the plunge then.
