I've just been looking through the Your GTP Setup thread and there is some serious setups in there.👍
It got me thinking does anyone wear racing shoes or gloves maybe while using a wheel? If so do you think they help?
I have a G25 and I find it extremely difficult to heel and toe unless i'm wearing shoes with very flat soles.
Any comments?

I use my own racing OMP shoes. Makes it so much better. I used to race just socks but always kinda lost grip on the pedals. With my OMP's its like when i'm in my teams GT3 RS.

Let me clarify, my socks have rubberesque bottoms. I highly recommend other people buying them, as they are extremely comfortable even when not racing.

bare footed dont like it, your feet are all sticked to the pedals, socks is the best way for me, low shoes are do-able but socks give the best feeling.

JosVerstappen, I've edited your post slightly. Please retain a modicum of diginity when posting. Thanks.

As for my driving, I've always used Socks. Tried barefoot, didn't like it. Shoes tend to remove feeling of pressure on the pedals. I suppose if the pedals required more force, it'd be better with shoes.

When I race on my G25, I just use athletic gloves and socks.

Gloves because I don't want to lose grip on the wheel, nor do I want to get my sweat on it.
Socks for basically the same reason.

I like to use just socks. With floor mounted pedals you can just squeeze the throttle with your toes.

with my G25 i wear my Chuck T's help me heel toe without hurting my feet. i wish the brake pedal was closer to the gas pedal though :sly:

tried barefooted, feet don't slide over the pedals, so always socks now.
And a crash helmet cause when im punted i always nut my steering wheel

Have you ever walked through town/city and been approached by a salesperson...."had any accidents in the last 3 years"......well last night i think it was 10 incidents where i received severe whiplash....you want to take my case??

:lol: and those foam collars are well annoying.

I go barefoot, my shoes are big and heavy (when it comes to shoes), which doesn't really help considering how sensitive the DFP pedals are. On the rare cold occasion I'll wear socks, but they make driving a bit slippery.

Socks and OMP gloves.
Tried with the helmet once, felt great until all went foggy and I crashed. :D

I wear my Chuck's too. Comfortable, light weight, flat bottom. Thin enough to get good pedal feel. The only other shoes I wear are combat boots. Those suck for street/track driving, great for rock crawling in the Jeeps though.

I have a pair of Adidas driving shoes and a pair of Totes driving gloves ready for use when I play. ;)

I wear socks mostly, sometimes bare feet. I used to get sore feet when heeltoeing with the G25 but that seems to have passed.
