No man, I'm really not that fast.
Seriously, I don't want to have expectations I can't live up with. I like DTM though, we'll see.;)

Thanks toyotsupra, this will be easier to make than the RX7 series I think.👍

It is man don't worry good battle tho weren't it tho for 1 st place?

I really do think we should be qualifying on the Softs these cars were made for that :tup

If we start on Meds or Hards there's still some kind of strategy involved. Do I pit immediately after race start to change to Softs? Shall I proceed on these tyres until my lap times go up? Shall I skip the Softs and make it till the end with only 1 stop?
(well, I hope it will be something like that. :D Let's find out tonight!!)
GT5 DTM VI Pre-Season testing
Tonight, 20:30 GMT / 21:30 CET
Nürburgring GP/D

Qualify
Spring Race - 14 (+1) laps
(5 minutes break)
Feature Race - 28 (+1) laps

So your saying I can pit on lap 2 and change to softs which will be faster way to the finish line or change to mediums and hope I get to the finish line? or hards which will most definately get you to the line the slowest way..

For today I assume you mean you can fully tune the car but then power limit it to meet the regulations...

^ correct

^^ correct

The sprint race maybe too short to create multiple strategies to get you to the finish but the feature race probably will... Tonight is the night to find out.

Yeah just use the power limiter and add weight if needed to meet reg's once fully tuned 👍, not sure if theres a limit on how much donwforce your allowed in the clk it used to be 35/60 same as the other DTM cars. Don't know if that will continue or not .....

Symp I'm pretty sure that it's impossible to beat someone on softs with medium or hards so to aviod everyone just going on softs how does a rule limiting each car to like 2 or 3 sets of softs sound ?, so that it doesn't just end up 4 or 5 laps on medium the soft's to the finish.

I'll be there :)

Should have a limited amount of softs as green has suggested :)

(just made a room for some dtm fun if you want to practise)

Might be there. got some stuff to do 1st. Hopefully. Really want to try a CLK for the 1st time in 5 seasons.

I guess with a 14 laps sprint race there's no other way I'm afraid. Or do you mean 2/3 sets for both races?

^ lol.. so we all bring our CLK? We'll have our spec race after all :D

^^ will join you soon

I think having a max of 3sets of hard, meds and softs for both races is good lol but needs testing.

Oh laps are about the 1.56 mark

I really just mean for the feature race, have a limit on how many sets of soft tires you can use. That way people can still be a bit more tactical and maybe try and stay on hards for a bit longer so they can get to they end of 3 sets of softs or something similar.

Maybe something to think about after the race, see how the practice race goes first. I'll be taking the Audi TT-R out for a spin tonight ;).

Can't edit ^^

I thing if we go to the qualy with tires RM, stick with it to the end!!!

Same with hard or soft!!!

And i think different tracks will be best

But today is just a test...

by the way, maybe we have news tracks soon, Hehhee

I think you can do a 1-stopper (at least a 2-stopper) in the feature race with racing hard and racing soft tyres..
It depends on your driving style of course and I still need to test..
A limit of 3 for both races for racing softs tyres sounds good.

Thanks for clearing up the regulations by the way. I already thought so.
