+1 TRD logo. A friend did that to his Blacktop powered KE70. Looks great.

The new bumper looks good. Much better air flow than the standard one.

Or matte black WITH the TRD logo on, but hey I'm a sucker for black/red combos.:P

@Korza I loved your idea so much I got stuck in to it straight away. First, I made a template:

And when I removed the template after I'd painted it, it looks like this:

I like it, I think it looks a lot better than having just the TRD letters painted on it. At the shop I decided on terracotta for the colour, thinking that most radiator paint I see is quite dull, understated. I kinda wish I had of gone a little bit darker, like a blood red or something, but it still looks ok.

Also painted my steel brackets black before they got rusty but they are boring and hidden so I didn't take photos of them. After work tomorrow I'll mount it and make a mount for the pump, then the next step is to re plumb and fill will coolant, then work on the ducting.

That looks awesome! Good call on paintng the outline as apposed to just painting the letters, the TRD logo shouldn't be any other way. Looking forward to seeing it on the car with the bumper.

I might have to paint a Mugen logo on the radiator of my Accord now...

That looks great. Hopefully you can now get out on track and not have the ECU restrict you because of the heat. The joys of living in Australia.

You and I will have to go on some sort of cruise together once you got this stuff sorted. Intercooler looks good.👍

Those plastic bits hanging down, well they are the under guards. They no longer fit under the heat exchanger, so I trimmed them neatly and now they are back in position. Also, I've finished making the bracket for the pump out of stainless plate, I'm just waiting on some little rubber cushion mounts to arrive as I incorporated some vibration resistance to the mount.

Made an impulse buy though as my friend was selling and it was a great deal, 2 brand new Haltech pressure sensors. I'm going to use one for fuel pressure and one for oil pressure. Then I got to thinking and thought while I was at it I should do oil temp too, so I ordered a Haltech temp sensor, too. Just have to get all of the adapters I'm going to need.

I've seen it painted, went and had a look while it was in the oven. It looks bloody fantastic, I can't wait to mount it up! I'm going to try and resist the urge to mount it until I get the required vibration mounts I'm waiting for to mount the pump, so I can mount that up and connect it first, want to avoid damaging the bumper and even though this one is really easy to remove, the more I do it the more chances there are that it gets scratched in the process..

I love the look of it, looks much more aggressive! Can't wait to see if its made much of a difference to the cooling..

What is everyone's opinion?

The plate covers up part of the logo :(

Bumper looks freaking awesome though mate, a huge improvement 👍

What a marked improvement! Congrats, so when are we doing a Circuit & Coffee to test it?:P

Very nice, I would also consider cranking the plate a few inches up so the logo is better visible.
The line of the 2 screws in the middle of the middle section.

Bumper looks awesome, so much better than the stock one 👍

I'm definitely a fan. Forgot the tow strap though. :P

I'm still trying to work out what I'm going to do with that, the only way I can think of at the moment is utilising the factory tow point and making a strong bracket off that, and hanging it out of the lower side vent, on the drivers side. I dummied it up and it doesn't look that great.. Because the reinforcement is aluminium I can't bolt off that like the old one.

Yeah, the reason I made it the height it is, is because under that middle bar, 2 little tabs hang down which hold the plate straight, if I were to move the plate up they would be exposed

Cheers for the comments everyone :)

I was having a bit of a look at where I could install the tow strap, the first option is the easiest, all I'd need to do is make a small bracket off the existing tow point:

However I don't really like the way it looks. The other option involves making a fairly large brace that goes between the two reinforcement bar points, enabling me to hang it pretty much anywhere along the bar:

Not urgent but something I'd like to get done before my next track day.

Also removed my plastic fuel tank cover at the rear. I've been motivated by the front bumper to do something for the rear, and I'm going to design and make a stainless version, with diffuser style fins. I have no idea how it's going to turn out, but in my head it looks awesome, and fairly easy to make.

I read an article about diffuser design recently. The angle of attack on diffusers, according to the article, is typically 7-10 degrees. Also, the vertical strakes reduce turbulence when done correctly, which normally means having 3 or 4 separate air tunnels in it, by having 2 or 3 strakes.

It was in Grassroots Motorsports. I just wanted to let you know since you mention it.
