The Game Pass Rewards changed this week. Irritatingly, the new "4 pack" and "8 pack" rewards don't recognise any EA Play games, which means neither WRC and Grid Legends are recognised. Not sure if this is a "bug" or intentional, but it's costing EA logins and therefore money - please can you pass this on if you can @PJTierney

Is there something in the terms and conditions about this? I read that external launchers (Battle.net) don’t count but I don’t know if that extends to other third party services like EA Play.

Thanks a lot for the reply. The only change to terms and conditions flagged by MS was the requirement to be over 18 which is new.
I haven't read the T&C in detail yet - I'll see if I can find a summary of changes somewhere - however I know the EA Play games worked for the 5 point Achievement and 3 point "play a game pass game" rewards which existed prior to this Monday, so I guesstimate that it's not a T&C issue. (I was literally using Grid Legends story mode achievements to pop the Achievement rewards last week in the Cloud, along with playing that game for the 3 pointers).
The new rewards DO pop for Game Pass games in the Cloud, but DON'T pop for EA Play games in the Cloud, which is why I think this [might] be a bug.
I will try downloading a EA Play game (if I can find space on my Series S  ) to see whether it works that way.

EDIT - I installed Bards Tale Trilogy and that has popped the reward, so I think it should work on installed EA Play games.
Expect a sudden uptick in Bards Tale logins

Have just had a revelation with all games but this one in particular given the ‘performance issues’, and it’s one that I’m sure 100% of the rest of the forum had in about 2008. You can’t judge a game especially on technical stuff until you actually play it on a decent TV. We bought a new one after Christmas after our probably decade old Toshiba, which was rubbish even when it was new, stopped cutting it. And it's such a shocking difference.

So there we go, bring on Le Maestros. Please…..

I had the same experience when I bought a new TV black Friday 2023. The biggest difference being that it has HDR instead of just SDR.

All recent driving games look extremely dull and flat colour-wise without it (WRC, GT7, FH5, Grid Legends all rely on it).

I would argue that they shouldn't rely so hugely on HDR, which the majority probably still don't have and in most of the above examples, i would argue the current game actually looks WORSE or at least no better than the prior one in SDR because SDR just isn't factored into the game at all.

But when you do have HDR and a new TV, the colours absolutely sparkle.
