Is there any way to change AI difficulty in career? I am on level 48 or so and it is pittifully easy. All assists off. I am no great racer. :boggled:

No (unless you select from the event list). You have to just keep leveling up. From what I have heard it does get difficult once you get over level 100.

Isn't the AI in world tour mode on professional difficulty?

I find them fairly easy to drive against, but harder then in FM3.

They are definitely not on professional. If you go into the event list and do an event, try it on professional you will see the increased difficulty. The only difference is they brake later, accelerate sooner and are much more accurate when hitting apexes

Well, if you go to difficulty in World Tour mode, you will see that you get a locked 25% extra on AI difficulty.

If im not mistaken, you will get 25% more on professional than on easy... So I think the AI cars in World Tour is on professional..

I think

You automatically get an extra 25% on all races in WT no matter how awful the AI is. AI makes too many mistakes in WT for it to be on professional level. There's been too many times in WT when I drove an inferior car thinking I had a good race going only to see the leader mowing the grass while I pass him.

I agree, the AI when running races from the event list do seem quite a bit more competitive. I wonder what the logic was in making racing World Tour easier than the races in the event list.

Simple; More friendly to casual gamers. The same logic why GT5 is so easy including most seasonal events.

Really? I've never seen the AI make any mistakes in World Tour.
In the events list though, I see them mess up the whole time.

Oh well. Online is where the fun is at :D

That is the whole problem...I don't want the game to be friendly, I want it to be competitive.......or allow me to choose, 💡 how hard could that be? :boggled:

Yeah, but what's better... easy progression to acquire cars/credits and experience the environments/tracks or "grinding" (the other one :)). I'll take this. It gives me more time for the other FM4 virtues - painting, photography, rivals, leaderboard competition, online competition, storefront/auction house, AutoVista, etc.. But I don't have much time to play so maybe that affects my opinion.

I don't find it a negative, just not a positive.
