I've been using this method to get real easy money on this specific event.
This event allows up to 530PP, but if you use a car with less power, you get rewarded for a performance difference. So, by cutting down your car to 50% of its power, you get rewarded nicely. Plus, if you're signed in and playing, you get that daily bonus. It may be anywhere from 130% - 190% I think. Since your car is heavily outmatched due to the performance difference, the trick is to cut the track That's where you cash in! Since you're cutting the track, you won't have trouble getting 1st place. I use my '02 Subaru STi for this race
I know some of you may say this is cheap, but it's only a means for getting some much needed money, quickly.
On the two main straights, instead of slowing down for the turn, simply just go straight through the sand pit on to the other straight. It will slow you down a bit, but not nearly as much as it would if you were to brake for the turn. Also, near the end of the lap, cut the last two turns. The straights and the last two turns will significantly reduce your times. I've marked in red on the picture where good places are to cut the track.
Here are my results from 1 race I just did now:
I got 600k for the performance difference!
And the XP:
-Cut your cars power!
-Cut the track!
-Watch the money/XP pile up!
Good luck
