ok evryone read this ill translate it if u dont understand

It says that Ecclestone whants to see JV whit ferrari in 2004.
He even said that He was workin on that :D:P :) :embarrassed: :D

The why?

I think its 4 the show... put JV in a ferrari and u have a show..
Put JV in a ferrari and ppl think Jv/Gv (Long Live Gilles)
Put JV in a Ferrari whit Micheal and u get Great battles.
God Put JV in a ferrari and u just get Yur money's worth when u buy tickets :D

Put JV in a Ferrari and watch Button pass him with his BAR. I like the idea.
But realistically speaking, Ferrari doesnt want JV, and I dont see why they would drop Barichello.

Listen u are from Montreal and are most likely a big JV fan. You wish he could get back in a top team, but the reason it hasnt happened is because he costs too much, and there are other drivers just as good or better that cost much less. Plus he talked **** of Button as soon as he joined BAR, yet Button is performing much better than JV is. Just think of it with an open mind, and you will realise the truth. I am a big MS fan, but his performance this weekend was pretty crappy. Montoya was in the same situation as MS when they both fell way behind after the first pit stop, but Montoya was able to quickly start passing ppl while MS wasnt able to pass Alonso and then got stuck behind JV.

J V said he would drive for free if ferrai gave him a drive i hope he dose because i still think he is in the top 3 drivers in f1 but is just demotivated from being in a **** team for so long Remember he is indy car chapion win the indy 500 and f1 champion

Ecclestone use to run the Brabham team in the late 70s and early 80s some of his drivers in that time includes Niki lauda and Nelson Piquet Both 3 times world chapions and great drivers i think we all the talented drivers he has seen and have had contact with he will no what he is talking about and i agree with him.

But now he has a completely different agenda. It's in his interests now to cause as much trouble and instability in F1, which he can then 'resolve', thus (a) increasing F1's media coverage, and (b) making him appear to be even more powerful and political.

I've got a lot of respect for Bernie, and some of the things he says and does are pure genius, but this one, and his continual bashing of Silverstone, are not typical of that level of intelligence.

I think onestly that he whants that more 4 the show and maybe to put jv somewhere... we all know that jv is in the end of his carer but... eh... whell see... hell (jv) probably end up whit Mclaren (bebye couldtard) or sumthin like that.... as long as he can battle 4 the lead and that the car lasts... right now evryone thinks that jv aint worth **** and as no talent cuz the car aint wroth **** and that its motor is underpowerd and evrything... so this is stupid cuz most ppl dont even kno what they are talkin about.... it would be great 4 the show if JV joined Ferrari cuz their would be GREAT BATTLES NOT BIG CRASHES AND ****... cuz it would probably bring a little bit of contravercy... and just cuz tons of ppl would come to finaly see another villeneuve in a ferrari :D

so evryone who thinks that jv aint worth ****... just shut [Language edited by moderator] up and go learn sumthin bout f1... im not sayin all this cuz of national pride... well not all of it... hehe

No, there wouldn't be great battles. Michael Schumacher would annihilate Villeneuve. And if JV can't handle the fact that 'his' team is swinging away from him and toward Button, then how on earth is he going to deal with Ferrari, who are so focussed on Michael Schumacher? It's lunacy to suggest that JV could go to Ferrari and perform at anything like the level his father did.

As for McLaren, they would NEVER hire Villeneuve. This is not speculation, it is simple fact. Ron Dennis even said as much, the last time Villeneuve's contract expired at the same time as Coulthard's. Villeneuve is too scruffy, lazy and inept at PR to go to McLaren, who require their drivers to be fast, clean, polite and accomodating. McLaren hired DV over JV then, and if that's their choice now, they'll do the same thing again.

It's relatively obvious that your comments are entirely motivated by national pride. You say that people should shut up (by the way, that language is not acceptable), and go learn something about F1, well I already know a lot about F1, and I certainly appear to know a lot more about the way the driver market works and the complete history of BAR than you do.

I've been to Canada, and watched a GP there. I've seen the national pride that you guys have for Jacques, and it's great that you give him such support. But he is not God-like.

And given that you have this new generation of drivers (Montoya, Raikkonen, Alonso) who are already giving it to Michael, you've no need to "spice up the show" by contriving to mix a driver and a team who would not fit together.

Anyone how knows just a little bit about F1 knows that JV has the skills. But in all due respect he's no match for Schumi (is anyone at this time)

I do think though that Jaques would be smarter to cut his losses and quit the F1. He was a worldchamp once but I find it very doubtfull he'll ever win it again. The reason he doesn't get a seat with a good team is becuase he has build up a reputation for himself as a troublemaker.

He's proven time and time again that he doesn't care for anything or anyone but himself, not his team, not his teammate, not his teamboss, not any of the other drivers.

And Mr.Devil... try to be a bit more polite you do not look cool just becuase you shout and swear a lot, it rather makes you look like a fool, just a friendly little FYI :)

p.s. No I'm not a Shumi fan

Ok time for my take on this. I'm going to have to go with GilesGuthrie on this one, and say that your comments are based only on the fact that you're French Canadian, with your comments like "shut up" "go learn French" and my favourite "you know nothing about F1." I happen to know quite a lot about F1, just like Giles. The fact of the matter is, no doubt, Jacques Villeneuve is a talented driver, and would no doubt do better in a team like Ferrari, McLaren, or back at Williams, but that just won't happen. The fact of the matter is, like Giles said, he has a bad reputation for sabotaging his teammates. There would be no sensible motivation for Ferrari to sign JV because they already have an incredibly talented, cool headed number 2 driver in Rubens Barrichello. Another thing is that it is a known fact that Michael Schumacher and JV don't like eachother, so them being teammates is purely out of the question. They would almost certainly have either one car, or both, not finishing races if they were teammates, simply because JV does not know how to race with a teammate. Not only that, but he has openly said he would not go to Ferrari while MS is there because he knows that he would be treated as the no. 2 driver.

Moving on to McLaren, like Giles said, Ron Dennis doesn't like JV, and he doesn't fit in with that teams image.

Going back to Williams would be ideal, however I highly doubt it will ever happen because they already have a stable driver in Ralf Schumacher, and Montoya is much like a mild JV anyway, so I really can't see him going back there.

I honestly can't see him getting a better deal anywhere else, I think he has as good as it will get in BAR to be quite honest. Going to Toyota would be no better really, they're a good long term team, but he needs a good car yesterday. Any other team like Minardi or Jordan would be a step backwards. Jaguar could be promising, but highly unlikely as they have two strong drivers now in Mark Webber and Justin Wilson. Sauber could be possible, but they are having unbelieveable reliability issues with their Ferrari 051 engines this year. This of course leaves Renault, which could pose the best possibility for JV yet. They have probably the best chassis in Formula One, and with further engine development for next year by removing their unusual 111 degree V angle to a conventional 90 degree one will give them some added power and I can see them being a real threat next year.

And Mr Devil, if you try and use that "you know nothing about F1" line on me, I'm afraid you will be thoroughly embarassed... ;)

I dont see either Trulli or Alonso getting the boot to make place for JV... unless JV wants to be a test driver... but that would be shameful. His best bet is to stay with BAR.

Hey Mr.Devil, the car is not a pos this year. They are the fastest among the rest of the Bridgestone runners and could have been faster last weekend if they had the new Bridgestone tires like Ferrari had. BAR just seems to lack a bit of seriousness. Like JV had a problem during a race once cuz someone inversed the connection on some wires.. that stuff should not happen. Engine failure, suspension failure due to hitting something, gearbox failure.. those are the types of reliability problems that should occur in F1's. Yet BAR is having so many problems with the electrical. I have seen JV get his steering wheel replaced a few times this year during a race. So if BAR gets serious, and JV also gets serious.. maybe he can start to re-establish his reputation of being among the best in F1. I think there might also be a possibility that Michelin has a clear advantage over Bridgestone this year, and its Ferrari that have produced an incredible car to be able to compete with McLaren, Williams and Renault. I would see BAR being closer to the top 4 if they had Michelin tires IMO.

Yeah, I never meant that Trulli or Alonso would be replaced, but there have been some rumours that Renault is looking to replace Trulli, so those were grounds for my statement.

As for your Ferrari comment, I agree. I think if everyone was on the same tires, Ferrari would be walking away with another championship, but because Michelin have made so many steps forward, they have evened the playing field somewhat. Sure McLaren and Williams have made strides themselves this year, but I feel the Ferrari is still the best car on the grid, many drivers have said that, including Villeneuve, but because of the Michelin factor, the speed of the F2003-GA is negated somewhat.

I would love to see JV in a ferrari.
He would show MS how to realy drive them, or atleast I think he would, I hope he will. Oh forget it he's been driving at the back of the pack for too long.

Nice to see someone finally agreeing with me. Since I signed up in May Ive been getting almost nothing but disagreements, and going into many arguments over stupidities with ppl who are hard headed and dont want to understand your opinion, and keep bashing it. Im happy now :)

JV woulnd bother MS at all. Would be just like having any other partner.. just like Verstappen, Herbert, Irvine, Barrichello. People still dont understand MS well. It seems like some of them forgot the fact that he joined Ferrari in 1996 when the team was crap. He still managed to win a few races that year. The year after, he was already a contender for the title against Villeneuve and the superior Williams Renault. The year after he did the same against Hakkinen, and without the famous incident with DC in Spa, he could have been world champion 6 times now. In 1999 he broke his leg in the accident, and Irvine ( how in da hell ) was runner-up to Hakkinen. If MS wouldnt have been injured, it would almost be a sure thing to say MS would have won the crown. Then 2000, 2001, 2002 evryone knows the story. MS with Todt, Brawn, Byrne have rebuilt Ferrari into what it is today. And I dont think there are enough ppl who think of that when they say bad things about MS. All this brings me to another point however. JV decided to take the BAR challenge ( somewhat as MS did with Ferrari back in 96 ), but he was not able to rally the team around him. Instead.. he has been consistently bashing his own team. In my eyes, JV sort of ruined BAR. Too much ego.
