HI...i have three cars.Nissan r92cp,mazda 787b, and toyota gt one.(black beauties-all them) and i would like to know what´s the best car for that race, the tyres and the velocity in b -spec mode..

Thanks

Whichever you want to use. The fastest AI car is the Motorsport Elise so I doubt you have any problems winning with any of those.

I wouldn't use any of them. Black beauties are way over-classed for this event. You'll wind up miles ahead of any Ai cars even with bad driving. Personally I'd get bored in about 2 seconds. Are you planning on B-specing the entire race? Why? This is one of the more interesting tracks....

As Greycap says, the best Ai car is a Motorsport Elise, so I'd plan on driving a car with much lower power & capabilities than a black beauty 💡 The list of cars you can use to compete in this enduro is a very long one...drive something you enjoy.

Note in my sig I've A-Specced El Capitan twice. Its an easy endurance if you have a car thats good to its tyres and does 1'55s at least.

If you insist on B-Speccing it, then any of thsoe cars you said will kill the opposition. Although if you cant pick for yourself, I'd say the R390. :dunce:

I done that track my AMG mercedes-benz race car '98( i think that was the year of the car or it was '89)

The nissan should do fine with the track.

I would recommend the super hard race tires so you will have plenty of grip but long endurce.

Oh! :banghead:

I meant hard sport tires, silly me...

The endurce should be easy to do but it took me about 3 hours to finnish.

All you need is just patience to win.

3 hours? That better include pausing for breaks. ;)

no really it took me 3 hours.

it took me 2hours and i won a toyota C-V8

It will take between 2hrs45min-3hrs if you use a normal car roj....if you want to go overkill with a race car, it will take only 2hrs....but 2hrs of TCS driven boredom. :)

Congrats on getting your Minolta gtfan anyway. Now, see how you go with a normal car against them to get more A-spec points if you want. :)

No way if you play nonstop. That would mean an average lap time of 2'30 to almost 2'45 and I guarantee you that you have no chance of winning if you're doing two and a half minute laps. According to race reports (such as this one) the leading AI car finishes the race in around 2"11 which means an average lap time of around 1'59.

Grey said it right. Finishing El Capitan in 2 hours 10 minutes in the S2000, I didnt even lap the Elise, got close though. So 2:11 is right on the money.

Mafs, what normal cars are you talking about? Primeras? :sly:

Best car for this is the Amuse GT1, completely stock, set to overtake and speed 3, the car easily walks on the competition regardless of your B-spec skill points. 👍
I use this as my primary Cr. earning option since it is nothing but B-spec with almost no chance to lose. 👍

Good luck.

That is one hell of a machine yes. :D:tup:

I reccommend the RX-7 LM Race car (free from Roadster 4 hour) with S1 tyres. My B-Spec lasts 22laps a set. :dunce:

If you've got any skill piloting GT-500 (JGTC) or GT2 class machines, then the Grand Valley 300km, Tokyo R246 300km and the Nürburgring 24hr are pretty easy. For production machines, the Tsukuba 9hr and New York 200mi aren't too tough, either. For prototypes, they're actually all fairly easy, IMHO, if you use either a Group C or LMP classed machine. They only get more difficult if you use a lower classed vehicle, like an LMGTP (GT-0ne or Bentley, for example) or GT1 (CLK-GTR or R390 GT1, for example). None of the endurance races are particularly hard unless you choose a machine that is quite inferior to the competition. Even so, you pretty much have to do this on purpose.

I won it by a lap in a very mildly tuned Ruf 3400 (the Boxster-based one). I wouldn't even consider running anything with a racing number on it. Except possibly the MMR racecar.

Amen.

you will thrash the competition with any of the black beauties!
you can even do it in a '67 shelby cobra with sport med tyres (they sound better but believe me the amount of times you have to pit :grumpy: ) and STILL win by over a lap. :)

yes... i was sad enough to try it, partly as an excuse to drive it but mainly for the prize car: the minolta toyota 88c-v race car... blimey it takes longer to say than it does to do a lap of the 'ring, but that's no surprise when she has 900 horses and does a standing 1/4 in 8.8 (yes 8.8) seconds

A lot of these cars sound like overkill for the event.

If I remember right, the last time I ran the event I used a '92 Honds NSX R lightly tuned. (Frame refresh, oil change, close ratio trans, sport exhaust, And I think the first clutch and flywheel.)

It was a good race, and I lapped all but one or two of the AI cars (Shelby Series 1 and some other car I can't remember), and received 200pts. for the race.

There's currently a thread in the Race Reports section in which the dude won El Capitan in an old Elan with 151 horses!

inferior meanig going for 200 A-spec in the roadster 4hr. i have not got to it personally but a lot of experienced and A-spec nutters have had trouble with this one.

any way EL Capt Enduro - i use cars of off the Stock Cars Thread as for El Capt there a quite a few you can choose from and still win quite comfortably.

Exactly my point. Even choosing 200-pt machines may still net you an easier win than you would expect. However, some 35-pt races may be nigh unwinnable, due to other factors (such as tires, etc.) that may seem beneficial at first, but turn out to be quite detrimental.

Hell, I've seen 9-point races that were tougher than 200 point ones. That's why I mostly ignore the a-spec system. But A-spec is good in a way because at least it stimulates some people into attempting to make the game more difficult (in theory) so they don't just overkill everybody.

1) i've had a 1 point A-spec and still got thrashed.

2) the game more difficult (in theory). Try some of the Manufacture events that you cant get 200 in (examples are crysler crossfire, Daihatsu Copen, Hyundai Coupe, Mini Races esp. New York. or even saleens for 200 @ suzuka) these are almost impossible races.

yup. Me too.

Well what I was saying was the A-spec system gives some people a reason to seek more difficult races, rather than just blow thru the game with overkill-cars. Blowing thru the game can easily be done by anyone, so PD tried to create a system to give some players an incentive not to do so.. A-spec is sort of like PD's way of making people care about the game by alotting points, even if those points are essentially meaningless to someone like myself.

In GT2, PD tried limiting some races by enforcing horsepower limits. Since this system was also not anywhere near perfect, they tried something new in GT4 with their point system.

Parnelli Bone,

i uderstand where you are coming from (being it is up to the individual player to play the game however thay like). because it's the players money that has been spent on the game.

what i am saying is the same as you, but just in a different way (the points system is not just "in theory". It can actually make the game extremely difficult. as per the mentioned races (examples are crysler crossfire, Daihatsu Copen, Hyundai Coupe, Mini Races esp. New York. or even saleens for 200 @ suzuka or 200 @ 4hr roadster))

i myself am going for A-spec points to make the game more challenging for ME. what any-one else does is up-to them. (as i understand for some it could be quite difficult, (some people are not allowed to have their ps2 on for 2 weeks running trying for a 24hr enduro) also being missions account for points too).

the original question "what to use for El Captain Enduro." If you want to b-spec it as you said, any of the three mentioned cars will do. even if your b-spec driver is no good.
