When Hitler (who Trump is totally not like) decided relativity was Jewish science and not German science he expelled a whole bunch of Jewish scientists who later went to work on the Manhattan project. It cost him the atom bomb and possibly the war.
Political considerations shouldn't be an influence over which science you believe. Especially when those politics are strongly influenced by religion.

When you have religion, you can't have science. Belief and "laws" of a tribe's mythology will dictate how stolen ideas or discoveries are abused, versus science providing guidance to what is best.
Tribal narcissists always undermine progress and truth, on any side.
Hopefully whatever the election outcome, the impending dramatic conclusion and fallout is quick. But that is the least likely thing to happen. The entitled fools just like msk ensure counter-productive noise for a long long time. It's a shame meritocracy is impossible with clown decision makers.

To be honest I'm fully expecting Trump to cut ties with Elon the second he's in office, especially if (non)Truth (anti)Social ends up getting an influx of users in the next couple months. Certainly he wouldn't want to be seen supporting a rival media platform that might allow people to express dissenting opinions FAKE NEWS, and Trump is no stranger to taking people who have outlived their usefulness to him and chucking them under the first bus that rolls past.

That would honestly be one of the funniest things to come out of this whole cluster. It would be even funnier if Trump deported Apartheid Kylde back to South Africa for being an illegal immigrant.
