@priesty_lfc
that crash shocked me to. as i came out of the lesmo you were coming back on track. i messed my trousers and just managed to miss you lol.
yeah m8, it was a good battle. i'd loved to have seen how it finished though

I was looking forward to rounds 2/3/4 but after today I'm disappointed, I was hoping for a top 5 or higher.

Oh well.
Hi mate, just had a look through the replay , and apologies to you also, when the rain got to 8% on lap 25 i was no longer in control, and on the parabolica, you had your nose ahead on the outside and i was quite happy to break early and give you the line but i was on the wet side and just locked and went straight ahead and took you with me into the gravel, that cost you more time than me to get out of , so many apologies Pr.
just a note i had the most awful race - i just couldnt get into clear air, always had someone in front or behind , i was hoping for a clear gap to run round at 57 57 without problems for 20 laps , that part was fine, but when the rain got to 8% my car reacted really oddly , just pulling toe the left on the straights. also stupidly i was looking for the lighter parts of the track as it looked the dryest but now realise that as it should be , the racing line is the dryest part , but as it was so much darker it looked wetter and so for a couple of laps i was trying to work out why i had no grip at all when i was running on the lighter dryier [not] areas of track, not until i realised then it was of course the other way round . on lap 26 i changed to inters and filled up to the end hoping the rain would keep on , but the car was undrivable ? dont know why 8% not wet enough for inters ? thhen the leaders came round to lap me and i moved left to let gp through then after the next bend i could see sken closing and moved right away from the racing line, and went real slow but then i ended up on the apex of lesmo 2 just as he arrived there and messed his race right up , as he hit me then spun then ended up parked in the barrier and lost loads of time. from there i would have turned the ps off, but i didnt i carried on till the end and well , glad its over , just never got comfortable with that track at all i and i must have practise 400 laps . look forward to spa now.

Great race everyone! Here is some pictures

I'll be honest I was pretty angry with that, I did ask Karsten to look at it, looking at the reply it could well have been due to the wet track. What I would say tho if you know you have taken someone out it's always advisable to wait for them and give the place back, you just carried on but luckily I managed to catch back up to you.

Also you might wanna check what tires you had in, looking at the reply it was showing RM is that correct? You can manage RS on a damp track but imagine RM would be difficult.

I was surprised to see you struggle so much.

Hi P , no at that time i had softs on , and was really starting to struggle, my car just seemed a real handful on the last third of that lap as it went to 8% wet track, and as i looked at the track i stupidly thought the lighter areas were dry and the darker areas were wet, as i had noone in front of me for a few laps to see the spray , and also when i looked in the mirror it was spray some places and not others , so i thought as i was having real problems controlling the car i would stay to the dry areas, which looked to me lighter as in real life , but i was wrong , the light areas were wet and dark were dry, and thinking about it , of course the racing line would be dryest, so i kept on the inside
line and when i braked nothing , just locked up and went straight, and at that point i assumed we had both locked up and gone straight on out of control, but i looked at the replay this morning and it was totally me, at the time i did not realise, so again P, sorry.
i came in after that and put inters on and refuelled to the end then it went dry in about 4 laps , so i was just cursing myself, my race was not supposed to go like that , it was a dissaster after that, i came in again and put on mediums , by then i was last so then i came in for softs to try and get the fastest lap , but got nowhere near it.

I usually never switch tires until there's over 25% water on track :)
No . to be honest i have only ever had rain when we did test race 2 , and it was wet to start and drying , ive never had dry getting wetter so i didnt know when to change , but i think had i been on the dry line rather than what i thought was dry i might have been ok, ill know for next time, but i had a horrid time, just horrid.

The only time you can go for the fastest lap is in the first stint, in that your tires have maximum grip and life, tires you put on after that will be slower even if it's the same compound.

Later today points, classifications and video with commentary!

Btw i would like to have 2 stewards to look along with me for issues.. I thought abouit logic and skeng but i'll take any volonteers :)

Yeah that's been my finding, but as a back up with Logic.
When the track got to 8% it was very iffy in places, ie car just locked up in places.
Other places no problem, even all bends I could take at same speed.
(ps with a bit of worry)

With it raining I picked to pit and go on IM, think two laps later track was 0% wet.
But still raining, really it was unreal how fast the track dryed out.

I thought it got to 9% wet, then I thought 10%.
But I think I miss read 10 for 0?

Not easy working 16 hours and only getting 4 hours sleeps, plus having a rear butt that could of blowen up at anytime lol.

Suzuka!

Concerning the track wetness, monza is always raced at 12:30, so it dries very fast, and if rain is light it is not enoiugh to add water to the track

Thanks

I live in England wet never dries out quick here lol.
Anyways that 8% wet on a good more than half good set of RS tryes gave me issues.
And I'm sure Logic pitted 3 laps before me, so his Issues may of been a little worse than my ones.

Karstern in your reply can you pls take the piss out of my lap 3 crash.
Some thing like:
Captain madbean spins out, all his own doing big time poor bean, but.
Should teach him a learning point not to play with the sand in a race.

I did when I was last, I came 8th in the end.

8 out of 11 that started and only 9 finished.
But I was never going to come in top 5.
Best lap was 5 for me 01:57

For now weather forecast for next monday in Suzuka is mostly cloudy with little rain...

Thanks

That would have been cool buit i acquire videoa right after the race.... Reason i asked to send me highlights right after the race. Editing and commenting is very time consuming so i have to optimize the process :P but i'm sure logic can spot it and record if he didn't already ;)
