Ill take a look at the replay for you later karsten

Ill pm you my thoughts

I think gprilli will lead me in pts now after yesterday

Sorry chaps am pulling out of this now, I just can't get out of bed and do a 1 hour and 30 min race.
With a car that will see two RX7 drift past me and my BRZ not able to do that in a drift back.

Races just to long and the BRZ is one crap car.

Also if a car got a racing line it's there line, but if neck to neck the car with the inner line.
Can run wide making the car on the racing line slow down more to make the bend.
It's a mean move but it's a racing move.

sad to see you go, but honestly you should have trained more, BIGK777 was in 2.30/2.31s and with 2 day training improved a lot....

If you want to stay as off championship you might be running season 2 candidate cars ang give us your opinion on them. No matter if you wouldn't finish the race. That way you can get to try "faster" cars, altought as skeng mentioned often the brz is not half bad and faster than IS350.

I think that the BRZ drivers are not training as much as rx7and garayas ones.. I mean logic trains 24/7/365 lol

I also run over 100 laps at spa to be competitive... i was at a best of 2.29.5 midweek and found 3 seconds by training and looking at others braking points and lines.

IS350 still draft past a BRZ down straights m8, nothing the BZR can do.
In less it takes inner line on bend and makes others drivers go wide.

I would be ok If I worked normal like most poeple but I don't.
Monday once again part time job moved, as they needed me in that morning.
16 hours of work and 4 hours sleep and then get up and race an hour an half race not a good mix.

My main job also talking about a shift change 4 on 4 off.
If that happens my racing online days will be over, with 18:00 to 06:00 work times :banghead:

Training am I taking on to much?
I mean I'm also in the Renault Megane thing you in it too.
Your not training well there as your sorting this one out, one more race on that then BTCC-7 starts.

Ekke seems a great test driver of cars.
But going back to my tests the IS350 was a faster car, that seemed slower as a little more stable.
Still my lap times at the time faster in the BRZ as not changed any brakes on the IS350.
Plus you up the power on the IS350 I think and me not test with new power.

Rx7 even with a drop in power was still a great car in tests by over 2 secs with me driving the BRZ.
Maybe the cars suits me better but for Ekke to come up with the same thing well?

Also once again last night late start in race again, plus when you up the bhp options.
Cars seemed to leave then go back in?
Then you went sod it all got kicked off track so no bhp tests done, but someone did jump into setting!
And what about the ones who did not get tested?

Maybe put skeng in the BRZ for a race, would shut me up if he wins it :nervous:
With me on training more it's hard as me not about when you lot training.
Wife got TV plus I've got work and going round a track by yourself sucks really lol

But I can say the same about the RX7, that doesn't even need draft to get past the Lexus it just powers past. Straight after the race I ran I ran 2 laps (out lap 1 timed lap) in the Mazda to compare times and I beat my Lexus time by over 1s on my first lap.

Maybe the BRZ could do with a power increase but Skeg has already said he's faster in the BRZ than the Lexus.

The cars are close but the Mazda is clearly the fastest followed by the Grayia then BRZ/Lexus.

That's the issue with spec racing how ever much you try I don't think you'll get all the cars properly matched.

I don't think you should leave because of the car but I understand the reason for leaving due to work. Working shifts must truly suck :(

I did put a suggestion to Karsten for S2 but he thought it was too complicated (I don't personally but hey lol).

And yes people hitting spec then leaving to go to settings isn't on, that's twice this as happened and needs to be addressed.

Since we're on the first season of this championship some "tweaking" will be in order I think. Can I propose a 10hp (325bhp/330hp) gain for the BRZ and see how will react in Apricot Hill? I perfectly understand the frustration if someone is 1 or 2 second faster than you... (remember IMMORTAL Skeng???).

If work gets in the way I also understand that is difficult to play games... I changed my work timeschedule to play on Monday night and I try to practise every time I can between work... wife... parents and so on... but it is very tiring

For example next friday I took a day off work for Valentine's Day but in the morning I will train like a beast for Apricot because will be my first race there and I don't want to let Skeng win that easy :D

Also I will start to train for Nürburgring 24h because will be a hell of a ride in two weeks :nervous:

Hardcore :D

Doesn't help that the tracks we've run have probably been the BRZs weakest (High speed tracks) as the BRZs strong point is grip!

Ok all brz will run at 230 next race. Brz driver train properly ;) also concerning rx7 speed on straight line i couldn't pass easily priesty nor true on brz in the races, even after drafting throug all of eau rouge it's just that youi have to get a better exit out of turns and be nailed to the one in front, and you get draft effect only after a certain speed.

In any case gprili and skeng were tents from each others after 1:20 of race! I do not think rx7 is over one second faster than others for that would make skeng scaringly faster than gprili O_o and he is already shamefully faster than me lol

In any case success penalty is coming in season2 so there is going to be more fun for all!

And we might allow drivers that were lower on championship and that will re-entry for season2 a "first choice" over cars.

As a last word all tested cars and brz was the first to go all taken... The rx7 had 2 free until very last and i chose it juist because my teammate picked it.

Maybe, but I said I was over 1s faster than in the RX7, and with draft I could not overtake flanked!

I've not actually seen you in any of the races this season so I assume you mean Ekke? True was behind me so would not of been with you?

We haven't really raced any tracks that suit the BRZ so to change it now will give it a bigger advantage in the next race than it already has.

Wow, now I see why most of you guys are so fast. Between work, wife, children,working-out and school, GT6 practice is last on my priority list. If I took off Valentines to practice for a GT6 race my wife would have me in divorce court the next day. Over 100 laps of practice Karsten! Color me impressed but there is no way in hell I can even come close to that.

I can understand CptMadBeans frustration. When you are not among the fastest drivers it can seem as if you are just doing a time trial or a testing session. Because after the first lap everyone is gone. I am not the quitting type but if I can't atleast finish on the lead lap then it's almost pointless to race.

I am not going to blame the car...... It's the nut behind the wheel in my case.

I am going to put in some practice times and see how I compare when I see times posted. Hopefully I am not 5 secs or more off the pace.

Not sure if you seen my PSN message but looking at the reply you were on RHs in real life it's a good strategy however your better off just running RS on GT6, you would prob be 2-3s faster so your time isn't that bad

Hi 777 i dont know the next track at all , so i will be on as much as poss, to be honest i set it up then spend 15 minutes here and there on it , i am not on it quite as much as people think, but i so struggle more than others i think finding a fast time that i can do lap after lap. that said last night , i told you i normally go harder tyres and longer stints and i felt that i might be faster at spa on softs and shorter stints , but i was just stuck in a battle of 2 and 3 and 4 cars the whole race , so the lap times i had practiced and that i thought would get me a 3rd or 4th position yesterday , was really wasted . I just couldnt break away from the buch of guys i was with and when i passed them they drafted me straight back, as i was not much quicker over the lap, it was so frustrating, so the lap times that i intened to do , i just couldnt , as its so much slower battling with other cars at every turn on every lap . So i will definately be practising longer slower stints on harder tyres as at at least i can let them past and go and catch them up when they pit . look out for me as i love training with others .

I had about 100 laps over a week, that is about 3 hours...
I usually train a lot less but i was quite clueless about spa, and i want to keep uyp good results lol

I did call you brave for going RH; but those tires are usually 2 or 3 seconds off...

i tell you how it goes, as i am quite new to this also.
you setup the track online and start lapping around to get a feel for it and just work on being fast but not so fast that you make mistakes. Then you try different tyres and run until they are worn out and see what the times are like and how long they last and you can then see how much fuel required for race distance , pitstops etc. Then after a few days of this you get Karsten or Ekke, come online and join you practicing, and you suddenly realise what you thought was a fast time, they achieve in about 3 laps and then go on average about 2 seconds faster withing another 3 laps , so then you realise you are way to slow. So then you start but now really pushing the limits trying to get near their times, and for me i usually get within one second or maybe half a second , and then i work out a strategy and so a full distance race run to see how my average time per lap is, and when my pistops would be . Then maybe a day later , you get Gp or Sken come on and join you , and then you realise that the faster pace you have worked on for 4 days is about 3 seconds slower that they can go in just a few laps, its well nasty when you think you are there at a fast time that you have practiced and practised for and can do pretty consistantly , and they just blow you away . Thats when then realise that i just cannot match their speed, and sadly have to look then at where i might finish in the race. I am so prepared , but of course i forget that running a faster pace with soft tyres i am in the mix with most of the midfield pack and that just slows you down, so from now on im running harder tyres and longer stints , as the race pace is slower but you are not fighting every lap and loosing time.

Cheer up mate in season 2 success penalty will allow others to battle even with skeng and gippone lol.

Btw when we train toghether u usually are as fast as me or a lil slower, you just seem to ose edge in race (maybe you get tired lol)

Remembered this during the race and said I had to try and get a photo

No Karsten, i am not sad, thats the way it is, i will just have to practice more, i still really enjoy it , although i would love to be faster , i think tracks with less drafting will suit me more. Yesterday i was faster in certain places on the track than others , but when you are in traffic behind others that are just a tad slower , you can only go at their speed.
in fact i have looked back and the middle sector at spa i was fast in practice and thats where i had any advantage over others , but of course you cant really overtake safley there , so my speed advantage was a bit wasted . In fact where i knocked Jorn, that section i was quite a lot faster , but there was just no way to overtake safely. I just wasnt fast enough to get away from people behind me that i did overtake , as they just drafted back past on the straights, in fact having 2 long drafting places at spa was no help to mne in the end. Anyway no im never tired, i look forward to the races so much, i have no excuses really , i just nede to be faster . Just going to have a look at the next track now,
