Since we're on the first season of this championship some "tweaking" will be in order I think. Can I propose a 10hp (325bhp/330hp) gain for the BRZ and see how will react in Apricot Hill? I perfectly understand the frustration if someone is 1 or 2 second faster than you... (remember IMMORTAL Skeng???).
If work gets in the way I also understand that is difficult to play games... I changed my work timeschedule to play on Monday night and I try to practise every time I can between work... wife... parents and so on... but it is very tiring
For example next friday I took a day off work for Valentine's Day but in the morning I will train like a beast for Apricot because will be my first race there and I don't want to let Skeng win that easy
Also I will start to train for Nürburgring 24 because will be a hell of a ride in two weeks
Ok all brz will run at 230 next race. Brz driver train properly also concerning rx7 speed on straight line i couldn't pass easily priesty nor true on brz in the races, even after drafting throug all of eau rouge it's just that youi have to get a better exit out of turns and be nailed to the one in front, and you get draft effect only after a certain speed.
In any case gprili and skeng were tents from each others after 1:20 of race! I do not think rx7 is over one second faster than others for that would make skeng scaringly faster than gprili O_o and he is already shamefully faster than me lol
In any case success penalty is coming in season2 so there is going to be more fun for all!
And we might allow drivers that were lower on championship and that will re-entry for season2 a "first choice" over cars.
As a last word all tested cars and brz was the first to go all taken... The rx7 had 2 free until very last and i chose it juist because my teammate picked it.
I think you mean 330 for the BRZ?
Wow, now I see why most of you guys are so fast. Between work, wife, children,working-out and school, GT6 practice is last on my priority list. If I took off Valentines to practice for a GT6 race my wife would have me in divorce court the next day. Over 100 laps of practice Karsten! Color me impressed but there is no way in hell I can even come close to that.
I can understand CptMadBeans frustration. When you are not among the fastest drivers it can seem as if you are just doing a time trial or a testing session. Because after the first lap everyone is gone. I am not the quitting type but if I can't atleast finish on the lead lap then it's almost pointless to race.
I am not going to blame the car...... It's the nut behind the wheel in my case.
I am going to put in some practice times and see how I compare when I see times posted. Hopefully I am not 5 secs or more off the pace.
Hi 777 i dont know the next track at all , so i will be on as much as poss, to be honest i set it up then spend 15 minutes here and there on it , i am not on it quite as much as people think, but i so struggle more than others i think finding a fast time that i can do lap after lap. that said last night , i told you i normally go harder tyres and longer stints and i felt that i might be faster at spa on softs and shorter stints , but i was just stuck in a battle of 2 and 3 and 4 cars the whole race , so the lap times i had practiced and that i thought would get me a 3rd or 4th position yesterday , was really wasted . I just couldnt break away from the buch of guys i was with and when i passed them they drafted me straight back, as i was not much quicker over the lap, it was so frustrating, so the lap times that i intened to do , i just couldnt , as its so much slower battling with other cars at every turn on every lap . So i will definately be practising longer slower stints on harder tyres as at at least i can let them past and go and catch them up when they pit . look out for me as i love training with others .Wow, now I see why most of you guys are so fast. i tell you how it goes, as i am quite new to this also.Hi 777 i dont know the next track at all , so i will be on as much as poss, to be honest i set it up then spend 15 minutes here and there on it , i am not on it quite as much as people think, but i so struggle more than others i think finding a fast time that i can do lap after lap. that said last night , i told you i normally go harder tyres and longer stints and i felt that i might be faster at spa on softs and shorter stints , but i was just stuck in a battle of 2 and 3 and 4 cars the whole race , so the lap times i had practiced and that i thought would get me a 3rd or 4th position yesterday , was really wasted . Cheer up mate in season 2 success penalty will allow others to battle even with skeng and gippone lol.i tell you how it goes, as i am quite new to this also.
you setup the track online and start lapping around to get a feel for it and just work on being fast but not so fast that you make mistakes. Then you try different tyres and run until they are worn out and see what the times are like and how long they last and you can then see how much fuel required for race distance , pitstops etc. Then after a few days of this you get Karsten or Ekke, come online and join you practicing, and you suddenly realise what you thought was a fast time, they achieve in about 3 laps and then go on average about 2 seconds faster withing another 3 laps , so then you realise you are way to slow. So then you start but now really pushing the limits trying to get near their times, and for me i usually get within one second or maybe half a second , and then i work out a strategy and so a full distance race run to see how my average time per lap is, and when my pistops would be . Then maybe a day later , you get Gp or Sken come on and join you , and then you realise that the faster pace you have worked on for 4 days is about 3 seconds slower that they can go in just a few laps, its well nasty when you think you are there at a fast time that you have practiced and practised for and can do pretty consistantly , and they just blow you away . Thats when then realise that i just cannot match their speed, and sadly have to look then at where i might finish in the race. I am so prepared , but of course i forget that running a faster pace with soft tyres i am in the mix with most of the midfield pack and that just slows you down, so from now on im running harder tyres and longer stints , as the race pace is slower but you are not fighting every lap and loosing time.
no wonder you are so fast - you fly .....Remembered this during the race and said I had to try and get a photo
No Karsten, i am not sad, thats the way it is, i will just have to practice more, i still really enjoy it , although i would love to be faster , i think tracks with less drafting will suit me more. Yesterday i was faster in certain places on the track than others , but when you are in traffic behind others that are just a tad slower , you can only go at their speed.Cheer up mate in season 2 success penalty will allow others to battle even with skeng and gippone lol.
Btw when we train toghether u usually are as fast as me or a lil slower, you just seem to ose edge in race (maybe you get tired lol)
Also i need to know how many laps apricot hill is , ASAP, is it a real track ? if not how you gonna check the weather? No Karsten, i am not sad, thats the way it is, i will just have to practice more, i still really enjoy it , although i would love to be faster , i think tracks with less drafting will suit me more. in fact i have looked back and the middle sector at spa i was fast in practice and thats where i had any advantage over others , but of course you cant really overtake safley there , so my speed advantage was a bit wasted . In fact where i knocked Jorn, that section i was quite a lot faster , but there was just no way to overtake safely. I just wasnt fast enough to get away from people behind me that i did overtake , as they just drafted back past on the straights, in fact having 2 long drafting places at spa was no help to mne in the end. Anyway no im never tired, i look forward to the races so much, i have no excuses really , i just nede to be faster . Just going to have a look at the next track now,
Looks like 1.23 per lap at first visitAlso i need to know how many laps apricot hill is , ASAP, is it a real track ? if not how you gonna check the weather?
Yes , more the merrier for me, Lol about 65 i reckon,1.23?
Damn that's gonna be a lot of laps then!
How many lapsJust announcing that since Apricot Hill doesn't exists we'll use meteo from my city:
Prato, Tuscany, Italy
a flying lap i reconRemembered this during the race and said I had to try and get a photo
