Race Details:
Mode: Arcade: Time trial
Game Spec: Spec III
Physics: Professional
Track: Suzuka East Course
Car: Ford Mustang

Rules:
* Lap must be clean, No wall touches, 2 wheels on track at all times.(Green concrete and synthetic grass is considered part of the track)
* G25 clutch is Prohibited
* Driving aids are optional
* Standard OLR rules

Save your best lap replay, everyone will need to submit there replay at the end
of each round for verification.(replays will need to be posted (as soon as possible)
within 48 hours after deadline, replays are to be posted in this thread.)

Standard Clean OLR:
* 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
* rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
* no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
* if you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
* no cheating of any kind, nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules.
(This includes conduct in the discussion thread. Administrators of this series reserve
the right to suspend or expel racers from this race or series if these guidelines are
breached - think before you post)
* save your best lap/ghost replay

Submitting:
* Submit to ripping_silk through GTPlanet private message.
* You need to include your lap time and your psn username.
* You can only submit your time once.
* The Deadline is 23:59(GMT) 6th of May
* Replay deadline is 23:59(GMT) 8th of May
* Replay is to be posted in the thread. format example: ripping_silk-1.47.665.zip
* Next race starts on the 8th of May

Why thankyou, after around 40 or so laps, managed a 58.260, a handy P1 lap by almost 5 tenths. Hard to say how much is left, maybe between a tenth to half a tenth, I had a very solid last sector, the only place were I was down on my PB sectors was T1, have been around .015 faster there. Its a nice quick, easy to learn combo, maybe a little too easy but still fun none the less

What exactly is the diff between Standard/Professional/Simulation on the wheel setting? I use Simulation - completely agree with FFB 10.

I think they don't affect g25 at all.

Well before i had the standard setting '5 and ameature', i was thinking i would try something new to try and close the gap between me and the likes of Dan as i knew he used to same setting but on a different wheel.

Ok, just got a chance to do this really sweet combo 👍 Did a 58.684 (4th on leaderboard) with a somewhat crappy run through the last sector I think I can take a tenth or two off if I manage to tie everything together nicely...so we shall see.

Good to see that we already have an all GTP top 5 on the leaderboard and also 5 GTP drivers who have already trumped MASF "King of Suzuka East" I'm sure he'll fight back soon enough though I believe the times are going to be amazingly close by the deadline, once everyone has given it their best. The top 10 or so spots will probably be seperated by only a couple of tenths at most. Good stuff!

Had a run for half an hour last night just prior to Marky setting his time... my previous best was a 58.807 set back in january. Managed to lop nearly .2 off of that time, which took me a far whack of time back then to set....... so i'm pleased that my thoughts that i seem to be faster with the DFGT seem to be holding true.

I dunno how you guys can charge around for hours on end chasing more time......... hell, perhaps i'm just not as competitive as i was back in my late teens and early 20's? I think i view GT5P as enjoyment, nothing more, nothing less. The last thing i want to happen is to lose the enjoyment of that escape from the real world by overloading on time spent playing the game.

Anyways, i might end up settling for that time yet........ if i can muster up the effort to run again i will, but i reckon thats my time....

I'm finding this combo way easier than originally expected. The gearing is wack when racing against outher cars, but on your own, it feels natural

Just had my first session tonight.
After only 20 minutes, up to 25th on the leaderboard.
Haven't watched Dan's replay yet, I'm sure there is much
to learn from it as usual. I think having been driving
the Aston on S2's at this week's WRS has helped me get
used to the Mustang fairly quick.

Having said all that, still a long way off the leaders and I may
be very close to my limit already...

I couldn't pause it, but it looked clean to me...... no different to every other lap out there at Suzuka East.

I wish you had of stayed put behind me though, you're taking valuable points away dammit!!!!

I think there's going to be a lot of last minute bumping in this one...we're all so close it's a bit discomforting I spent about a half hour tonight and ended up bumping ripping down by 6 hundreths and then decided to keep the momentum going for a couple of more laps and ended up clipping you by a few hundreths

I don't really want to drop a round though. That would be bad. I should get at least one session. Hopefully I can put in a respectable time to try and get some points. But I do have a good gap, but it will quicly detiorate if i'm not careful.

Yeah Yeah Yeah. Ford fans must be loving V8's at the moment. Those 888 cars are the holl01's of V8 supercars right now. Hopefully Holden can fight back at Symmons Plains.
