Not that my time is really worth sending in anyway... :crazy: ... I"ve got another (probably stupid) question regarding the deadline (not, not about dates but the time):

=> the 23:59(GMT) deadline time: this means, in my example, sitting with GMT+2 (it is 10AM right now) I have theoretically until 10PM tonight (my time) to PM and post???
Or does the New Zealand time count where ripping silk stays???
The prob then would be, since I'm at work right now its already past midnight in New Zealand by the time I get home to submitt... :nervous:

OK I did reply to you in PM Ren831, so I hope you understand now.

However, there seems to be an issue with the actual day of the race finish now.
I didn't look that closely at the post by Mad94d, and assumed that (as always) we have 7 days to run the TT.
i have the results for the normal finish time of Thursday night (GMT), but am reluctant to post them as there are two opposing camps as to what should be allowed.
This is a screw up i think .

I suppose the only fair way to do this is to exclude all that submitted times after 2359hrs on the 6th May. Those excluded would be: Boy__Racer, ripping_silk, GTP_mad94d, GTP_Fox, GTP_CarlPKY, Davey07-O37 and Ren831.

Got your PM, and together with your reply here and all the bits and pieces I DO FINALLY get it.

I, and maybe I'm not alone here, misunderstood the rules entirely (first time I took part, though, next time I'll get it right):

I thought you have until midnight the 6th to put in your best effort driving, and THEN 48 hours to PM you AND to post your replay in the thread. But it seems to be that the deadline 23:59 (GMT) is for the PM to you, not putting together a descent lap.

Hope I'll do better in 13, and a better lap time as well ;)

I'd have to agree with you 80Y and also to spyrrari, the deadline should remain as to what6 was stipulated in the first post, a deadline is a very important part of any competition, and to alter it is completely ludicrous, a total injustice to the drivers who followed the rules.

It's black and white as far as i'm concerned. Look, i worked 60hrs in 5 days this week, yet still made a point of checking the first post for details, even though i was trashed mentally.... It's just that simple to do.

I'm not here to preach to the masses and rub noses in it, it's just that it (details) was there for all to see.

Don't worry mate, nothing was really done wrong because you didn't change the deadline. Everyone makes mistakes:tup:

:ouch:Man I wish I started earlier on this one. I only had 3 hour sessions and my improvement was linear throughout.

Look, don't worry about it guys (not that I think anyone is), the way the things were up to last week, placings were on a constant. You had your people up the top, in the middle, and down the bottom. Mad was constantly being caught up by Dan and it's the way things have been going on for some time. Now though, the whole thing has been turned on it's head. You have Dan making a huge advance on Mad, and you have a few poeple from the bottom bit (no offence to anyone of course!) gaining some points. It will liven things up. And all because the double points round was only entered by 6 poeple - now that's something cool to look back on! Otherwise, things would be almost the same only the points would have been amplified.
This is a turning point.

So,..... need another race. Round 13 perhaps ? Mad ? where are we going ?

No worries, mate! I think the better part of us all appreciate the effort you put into this, and the deadline was stated clearly on post #1, so the decision made is 100%.
I just messed it up because I didn't get my head around the fact that the time must be pm'd by the deadline. Not that it would matter, I only started on Race 12, only to find out that I'm not as quick as I thought 💡

Congrats to all point scores and RESPECT from my side to all up there on the leader board! :cheers:

Worth noting that the replay deadline is also one day earlier too. So that is around 11 hours left to post your replay, here in this thread, to those who haven't yet.

As pretty much everyone else has said, don't worry mad, we can all read.
We should have paid attention to the date in the opening post. I know I have learned my lesson and will pay closer attention from now on :dopey:
 
I didn't actually know it was supposed to finish every thursday:ouch: I only realised when everyone said it :lol:
 
I Didnt submit my time because i thought i had missed the deadline

I was going to have another go at it because i only had a about 20 laps under my belt.

I think thats actually the last i do of EYS haha too much.....

Deadline will be Thursday night as usual. It's pretty obvious what's clean. I'll have the round posted tomorrow. Very busy for me tonight(still).

Fair enough about pulling those 7 times out. Only makes it fair to the ones that submitted before the 6th. Cant say I'm not disappointed 'cos I am, but we're all human and make mistakes sometimes. From my side I thought 6th was thursday, until I realized on thursday it was actually the 7th..:crazy:.:ill:....Neh mind....So onto round 13...Looks good...:)👍
 
Yeah fair play, probably the right thing to do, looks like im set for third in the championship then but i will make more effort in the final few races.

Forgot to submit my replay today :ouch: As if it matters for me anyway :lol: Still had fun competing with you guys :cheers: I'll be doing Round 13 as well, but I'm not sure if I'll turn in a time and replay though.

If I can make a point about this....

If this was a one off competition, then the date in the first post is gospel and should not be changed. However, this was a competition that was in it's 12th week. All previous 11 weeks ended on the Thursday. Everyone that is taking part was used to submitting times on a Thursday. It would therefore be fair to assume that this one finished on the Thursday too.

Errors happen, and there is no right or wrong way to sort this out, just putting forth another point of view.
