I've just watched your replay, thats some smooth driving there mate 👍

I'm nowhere near that pace, my best so far is 2.25.0xx, I'll be happy if I can get another second off that, I can see where I'm losing time but not 5 seconds worth

Sold lap Dan 👍 I'm sure you have a few tenths left though, as it seems like a 2'19.5xx is very likely to be the limit.

My PB T1 was a 1'00.760 which is roughly .150 better than on my PB overall lap (a crap 1'00.916 T1 IIRC) which gave me a 2'20.010 overall. So judging by my splits it looks like I could get into the 19.8's with a well put together lap. Of course I lost some time being a bit too careful in a few other areas on my best lap, so a 2'19.7xx seems feasible for me.

It's just really hard constantly putting in a strong T1 with my wheel working the way it is atm. The hardest part is getting the car placed perfectly and pointed in the right direction as it transitions and transfers weight through the ess section....while dealing with the screwed up FFB which feels extremely sloppy and jerky 👎 Still an extremely fun combo nonetheless

Any plans to grab yourself a new wheel? Must be frustrating as hell driving with a dodgy wheel, I had alot of pedal input problems with the DFP, but so far the DFGT is performing solidly, no pedal issues, or paddle issues, which is a massive relief

I commend you guys on having the mental capacity to shave thousandths of a second off your time just to be ahead on a leaderboard, yet still in the same division. 👍

And I had always thought I'm quiet handy with racing games and stuff... I might quote polecat15 from work today: "that's the difference between talent and genius". This was me telling him about me being proud about pos 30ish after 4 laps and one of our aliens reporting pos 29 on lap 2 (). Tipping my hat....

Think I'll have to check my DFGT, I'm hoping to find that my throttle was stuck at 3/4 the whole time.....

I other news:
I'm not stopping untill I reach mid to low .21s. My best so far is in the 22.1 region, but that was a while ago - when I wasn't trying as hard, strangly. Sadly my best attempt so far is 22.3 - but I havn't spent much time on it, so hepefully I'll get my groove on and get in the top......35 maybe? I don't know.👍 All I do know is that EYS1 is actually helping me here.

Tip of the day - lift off oversteer can be your friend and enemy. Use it wisely.

I'm going to contact Fanatec to try and get a replacement ASAP. I was going to do it today but was too busy unfortunately

I'm also considering picking up a re-furbished DFGT as a back up, since they are so damn cheap and I think it would be good to get accustomed to that wheel before the next GT Academy comes around 👍

I know I'm not up there with the top, top drivers atm (like you, Ramon, and a few others names), but I definitely plan to put in a lot of hard work and dedication in these next couple of months to get there, so I can perform at the highest level when GT Academy II arrives 👍 And I sure hope it is a international competition this time!

Squeezed a bit more out of my lap time with a 2'20.606 👍 16th on the board atm.

It would be interesting to know what FFB and power steering setting is being used for drivers at the top of the leaderboard. It seems to have a noticeable effect on lap times for me if i experimented with different settings. Any feedback would be appreciated. I used FFB 8, power steering on for my current fastest lap.

Send him a pm now then. I'm sure you would be allowed to participate as long as you got your qualifying time & replay in before the deadline.

After a few more laps today I've managed to get my time down to 2.23.4xx I think with a bit more practise I might even be able to break into 2.22.xxx

I had a coronary last night when I realized I hadn't saved my best lap of 2'23.0xx but was able to break into the 2'22s after some more practice. Its good to see that another Div 2 driver is struggling with this combo - it is most difficult to be consistent for an entire lap in this little Lotus.
