Mr Deap
I wish I could see your replay video's... đź’ˇ

haha. lol. I wish you could too. I'd rather save my $40 to help pay these "exhibition driving" tickets I got for drifting the streets. Seriously is that a complement?? I mean the name of the offense implies that I'm being a show off........uh, thanks dude, but............shouldn't you be paying me?? I mean I'm the performer and since when does the performer pay the audience??

Anyways yeah, I'd be able to put some of them up if I could get hold of Bryan, he has a capture card and I want to use it.

Just to reply to the Stock/Modded Drift discussion earlier, in GT4 I prefer to drift stock, but it isn't easy to alter the line as was mentioned.

I definitely prefer drifting stock in EPR though, and doing Zero Countersteer is so cool feeling.

I feel like an Initial Dweeb when I do it, but man it looks so cool.

I know, drifting a stock car and doing 0 counter steer feels good. but sometimes when i watch the replay, i dont feel as much as excited when driving. i just dont get to notice the zero countersteer on the replay, :/

Sure you can, just check out the front tires.

Heck, I was heel-toeing last night (finally got it down) and was pointing out to my girlfriend how the blue and red bars by the tach both light up when I was doing it, and she could pick those out herself.

I really need to get a Vid made now, I am in love with the S15 Spec.R, finally managed to get one of my personal goal drifts completed.

The 6th turn on Dragon Range downhill, the long sweeping decreasing radius left out of the tunnel.

Sideways, smoking, high angle, nice exit...didn't change anything on the car other than locking the differential.

Hell, I need to .gif it for my avatar.

How do you take that corner? It's the one coming out of the tunnel right? I usually take my foot off of the throttle at the tunnel exit and just lightly turn to initiate the drift, then once the turn tightens I lightly brake to create more oversteer by pushing the weight forward. I rarely do this right and most of the time have to correct mistakes by doing a little dance with the brake and throttle pedals until I upset the balance so much that I fly into the guard rail. If this was real life I would probably hold some record for flipping over that damn barrier and flying down into the town below.

There's a ditch on that corner, just use it. Though an high angle drift would make you into the wall, you need your 2 inside tire to get on it.

@Neva2wicked: Excellent driving, :) but there's just one problem: it's really loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong. The pauses between the text in the beginning were way too long, and the driving sequences, especially the Evo test-drive in the city, lasted much longer than they should have.

Oh, and you forgot to turn off the music in the game before recording... ;)

3rd Gear, about 83-86 Mph, start on the left side of the middle line as you exit the tunnel.

Flick to the right, then hard left, it will feel like you have too much angle when you do it right, then lay into the gas, and hold on, I usually start to countersteer about midway through, and with some cars I downshift into second in the middle.

Start in 3rd gear though, and remember, too much angle is just enough, it's a long, fast, downhill turn, the car will carry through it if you're going fast enough, and there is plenty of room.

It's very sweet looking to almost kiss the guard rail on the right side with your tail though.

Did a classic Skyline battle, I've been wanting to do this for a while. Am I the only person doing this without cheesedick Nu-Metal or Eurobeat horse**** Initial D music? I'm a pretentious asshole.

I will compress the video, cause it's way to big for viewing. I'll put it on the putfile server

If only Enthusia had multiplayer, there has been some impressive videos posted here and I'd love to race people who take the game seriously, unlike my friends who typically find themselves facing backwards in the grass.

Also I added a smaller version of my video to the original post.

Added in the first post..

I'm still thinking of an idea in a downhill video. I have all the stuff to make a cool one though.. :)

Rotary_freq and I have tried making a 2-player vid, but we're perfectionists, so if the race isn't close enough or there's a collision, we ditch the replay. :indiff:

That said, I should make another Enthusia vid or two... :scared:

OMG. I just noticed from watching Orubasarot's vid that the ai car's don't have tail lights. WTF is that about?? lol.

Nice vid btw. I like the music. Very much so not "horse****"

Mr. Deap. That was an awesome battle. YOU LOSE!!!!!! Although the ai gave you a good shunt in the hairpin. But your music was............"horse****" LMFAO  :P j/k it's all good.

The EVO is so fast in the hairpin section due to the AYC. Lately I start to show video of where I lose, though it still great show. :) I have to give an example to not to be a spoiled brat while racing & have fun. đź‘Ť

Okay about the "horse****" music... I'm filled with it.

I forgot to give a comment to your vid... đź‘Ť

It really feel like in older japanese race time with the old color. The music stick perfectly to the sequence. Though the driving is a bit disapointing.

I've been away for a bit trying to 'up' my FR driving. Needless to say, there was much disappointment in that. So I returned to my 'bible' and got a new vid for ya :) At first it was two seperate ones, but I figured 'what the hey. why not combine them?'

So here ya go :)

*Notes* The Evo battle is my favorite. Stock vs Stock, the VIII > VII as the AI will show, but if there's one thing it can't replicate, its how to pass on the corners  Probably my toughest battle to date. The latter half of the vid was me pulling out all the stops for drifting.

OT: Online play would have been sweet. Of course, it would also be disappointing cause, if alot of people drive like my friend's do, you'd expect most of the opposition to either constantly spin out, or hit every little wall :( BUt for those who take the game seriously and reveal their skill- as seen per the vids, those would make for some exciting moments :)

I should be getting my computer set up finished upstairs, and it will finally be right behind me when Im playing EPR, so If all goes well I look to have a couple of vids ready in a week or two.

Now it's just a matter of choosing between the glorious S15.R, the 350Z, and the Hachi-Roku.

I Made a new video of a run in Nurburgring again, but with a fully tuned NSX-R

Video

I have some trouble uploading in putfile, so it's a rapidshare link. :)

Edit: Putfile working again, so my NSX video have been corrected into putfile.

Hey, now videos like my 6'06" 787B time-attack actually belong here!

I'm still trying to match that with my own 787B. Freaking impossible if you ask me

Sweet run with the NSX Deap.

OT: Does anyone know where you can get extra slim PS2 power adaptors. Mine burned out yesterday while recording a GT3/GT4 compilation :( The local stores around here don't carry extras.

I wish I could say it was completely stock, but I gave it a limited slip... :guilty: That's probably what you're missing... :scared:

Sweet vids, as always, Mr. Deap! :) đź‘Ť
