Nissan Skyline GTR R33 vs Mitsubishi GTO TT vs Toyota Supra RZ vs Honda NSX vs Mazda RX7 vs Subaru Impreza WRX STI

Oh it's Best Motoring 1996 all over again :D

Have to do it on Tsukuba to be authentic.

Lol, like i said though - approved minimum mods for the slower cars - the audi would need a 80/ 20 or 90/ 10 diff split to be competitive

I'd like there to be an official GTP online race with these cars only - you pick which car you prefer.
Of course the slightly slower cars can have approved minimum mods to achieve very similar lap times for close racing.

I'd choose the RS4:sly:

And you'd lose in the RS4. My CLS63 AMG will crush you all.

That would be cool, have Ariel Made a V8 already, or are we talking about the Supercharged 2litre version?

I think the Caparo would own them all, with the Radical being the most competitive, providing it is the top spec V8 version.

I really do hope all the cars mentioned are in GT5

ariel are planning to build a v8, so we'll see. the 2L supercharged is 300hp... v8 would be around 500. also, caterham have built an rst-v8 levante. (550hp)

My race modified and race liveried 240SX / NSX / 350/370Z / S2000 / Supra / Mustang / Corvette / Viper / Skyline / GT-R / Esprit / whatever, vs the pack around Spa. And the Nurb Nord would work too. ;)

Oh my goodness, just thought of the coolest battle ever!:D:D:D

Art Morrison Corvette

vs Holden EFIJY

vs Buick Special (The one from GT4)

vs Chevrolet 789
789-chevy-1.jpg

All 4 are classic re-do's, but I think I know which would win, as only 3 are based off the Corvette only 2 have alloy block V8s (which helps massively with handling), and only of those are supercharged.:sly::drool::dopey:

EFIJY? Get out of it...I think that, and the 789 would be no match for the special and the AM.

You really think so? Obviously in the real world the EFIJY can't even go over 60km/hr, but in the fantasy GT world, it would at least hammer the Special (which has an iron block V8, and looks no more meant for being driven hard than the EFIJY). The 789 is actually a C6 Corvette with a different skin applied, and I think it had an LS2 V8, so it'd be quite fast for such a show car as well. Straight line would be the EFIJY, no contest.

Actually 3 have alloy blocks ;)

Which is the 3rd? I though the Art Morrison was an iron block. The Buick has to be iron as I don't think there ever was an alloy block big block.

OK, the Art Morrison will probably (more than likely) win on the track. EFIJY still wins straight line race.:P (It only has over 600hp and probably the more aerodynamic body).

Edit: 480kw for the EFIJY to be exact.

Art Morrison not a original Chevy cast small block, it is a later Aluminium aftermarket verion (Based but improved on Gen I design).

Original Chevy iron small blocks could not be taken anymore than 400ci, even then they had small cylinder spacing they required steam holes but still had issues. IIRC a 410ci version was tested for a while but totally unreliable and that idea was ditched.

Jag xj220 vs Porsche 911 GT1

Caterham R500 Superlight vs Ariel Atom 3

and finally somethig more reasonable:
Golf GTI vs Astra OPC (VXR) vs Megane F1 R26

:D

Ferrari F2007 vs Formula GT '09(doubt there will be one cause the f2007 is the new FGT really)

Porsche Carrera GT vs Ferrari Enzo vs Pagani Zonda R

I think the S will have a good time with the Enzo and GT, but the R? That thing would be too fast - I think even the F would be too fast.

And for Paulie:
Ah...so THIS is where you get the me-not-liking-holden idea. Fair enough. I just think it looks way too heavy to be a track car. I am not questioning is straight line speed, but I am questioning it's (supposive) cornering speed. I see where your coming from with the Special in the same boat as the EFIJY for showcaryness, but I feel that the Special looks like it has a chance around the corners and the EFIJY looks like a cruiser

You were right, I was going off the idea that since it's based off a Corvette platform it might stand a chance against a couple of the others at corners, but then I read it's a modified Corvette platform and the EFIJY is actually longer than a VE Commodore (Just, and maybe not the wheelbase). So, to Test Track I take them.

It will be nice to have a race with all the hot european hatchbacks. :D

They are small but have a lot of potencial:
