Great racing tonight, to bad I had a brain fart at Fugi and picked a premium car!
Thought I had setup the cars to use in my favorite's.

OFFICIAL RESULTS: WEEK 2

1. Maxime0911..........93
2. dabneyd...............80
3. hillracing...............78
4. racefan78.............77
5. kcheeb.................71
6. chatva.................63
7. ChuthuluGoat.........44
8. tensor120.............39
9. drrgreenthumb67...35
10. lifesagamble.........33

Ok folks, thanks for another great night of racing. Round 3 had the most votes so Maxime0911 will pick a new combo to replace it. Round 2 had the second most votes so dabneyd will pick either a new car spec or a new track

power limiter not > 10% ? :dunce:

I thought it said the pp couldn't be reduced by more then 10% not the power. That car started at 475pp or so which is well within 10%pp. If it's illegal then my bad. I literally decided to run ten mins before the start so just grabbed what cars I had that were close to the pp it asked for and drove. Was going to use a different z at first but I had put one mod on it that I missed when I picked it.

Cant restrict power by more than 10%
75pp, I think is greater than 10% of 475pp anyway

Its like the people with the Zondas.
It dont matter. We just gotta get used to it. I accidentally used a premium car in the last race. Not that it mattered anyway

NOTE: Use of the power limiter will be allowed. However, PLEASE use common sense. If you show up in an extremely downtuned car you will be asked to change to a car that better fits that rounds regulations MORE THAN 10% PP REDUCTION IS CONSIDERED EXTREME

That's not what this says. It says performance points not power. Also it was from 475pp down to 450pp which us way less than 10%

Yeah, that needs to be clarified. I thought the intent was to restrict engine limiting to no more than 10%. It's way easier to figure that out versus a 10% of PP limit. Racefan, want to weigh in?

Yeah, I'd say 10% is about the reasonble range. And true some cars will be way faster than others, but with so many to choose from it will be unlikely that one person will have the best car for all 3 rounds

<10% power reduction good?

I just want to say, that when only a PP limit is in place, it comes down to just finding the best car. There are classics I have that are >70 HP and are over 400 PP. I really think people are gonna think Im cheating when we race the FF cars. Maybe not though, we'll see.

Horse power and weight limits are always the way to go if you want to make it as even as possible

I guess we'll just wait and see what happens

wow thats funny the only reason that 10% came up is because power reduction is based on percentage in the game so I said in a post something <10% power reduction good and racefan agreed and confirmed. So I guess then puts it like that in the rules haha

I guess he didnt understand the power reduction part

and racefan did you really think that people wont choose the same car?

I'm sorry guys, that was a typo on my part, it was supposed to be 10% HP limiting, not PP. My mistake, so no one is going to be docked points or anything, just remember we're going by horsepower from now on.

And tensor, other than the first race I think we had a really good variety of cars on the track this week. I don't see any problem with having 2 or 3 of the same cars in a race.

Yea its cool with just 2 or so but I think in Fuji after the last race some people I think switched to the Zonda. Idk for sure tho wasnt paying attention really

There's just one Zonda you can take with these restrictions and if you change oil, I think the power limiter will be over 10%... My C12 was at 92.4% with no oil change (oil gauge red) if I remember well.

I know it's not going to stop because people will do anything to win, but I think this is a lame strategy.

Should ESCarGOT's admins change the regulations?
Car restriction?

That's up to Racefan. But let's be honest, no one is coming to the race in a car that needs an oil change because it's slower than other choices.

Well I did and might just repeat, the C12 wasn't slower: I won both races using it with red oil gauge

That's exactly what I'm saying. You can get a better car into the regulations by not changing the oil.
