i know 90% will not be in GT6, but that would be the perfect GT for me.

Is it rally-cross where the starting positions take different paths on two similar "tracks" of the same length? I find that it could be really fun and it might be possible to have a Course Maker Generator for it like the rally Special Events.

Yes, it is.

The most important part: the events. Let's agree: they are quite badly implemented in GT5. If there's any chance of Kazunori and PD reading this then:
1-A-spec
What I personaly don't like about GT5 is that there's no fuel depletion/tire wear until endurance events. Doing the FGT championship without this was very boring. Also-restrictions. You can do the SuperGT event in a Red Bull X1.:dunce:I'd also love to see multi-class racing finally implemented in GT because that is a whole new experience.
2-Online
The lobby system is bad: it's very hard to find good racing and equal skill level competitors. Remember in GT5 Prologue there where online events? Why couldn't they put it in GT6 too? That was a great way to find quick races. Also I'd love to be able to do A-spec events online. Of course, they should improve the lobbies as well for league and friend racing.
3-Special events
Karting-they should keep it
Nascar school-if they don't force assists-it's OK
Top Gear-if they leave it the same way-then no. Combi racing-that's not Top Gear.
AMG driving school-great way to learn Nordschleife
Gran Turismo Rally-if they make the stages harder and improve the Co-pilot-great.
Grand Tour-this game is called Gran Turismo-Gran Touring so this is a great way to enjoy the graphics of the game. More events would be welcome and, I know it's very hard to implement but, i'd like to drive to the events/races on public roads.
Race driver challenges (Vettel, Loeb challenge)-it's fun to compare your driving with real race drivers.

Post your ideas for events below. ;)

Well generally speaking it needs to be at least 5x in size.

Regarding the events we don't need the same ones again, give us something new. That's the problem GT has had since GT1, the events are all the same.

There is one type of event in GT1 that hasn't been seen since then, if I remember correctly.

There were:

American vs. Japanese

Japanese vs. British

British vs. American

It would be cool to see "country A vs. country B" type of events in the next game. With over 1000 cars, GT5 could have taken huge advantage over this, but of course, PD didn't use the opportunity.

That they didn't. I mean I just spent 5 minutes looking at the car list and instantly came up with some events to make more use of the cars:

M3 Trophy
Japanese Kei Car Cup
European Clio Cup Championship
Viper vs Corvette
Le Mans Classics (pre 1970)
Vtec Power: Honda Civic Invitational
Lamborghini Gallardo Tropheo
European Touring Car Championship
Elise Spec Cup
Lancer vs Impreza Duel
Nissan Z Cars invitational
Nissan mm-R Cup
Classic Tarmac Rally Cup
Modern Tarmac Rally Cup
MR2/S vs Miata

Five minutes going through the car list and I came up with that. Really, it's baffling how little effort they put in.

I think there should be regional ladder systems, so if you want to forge a career based in Japan, there is a ladder that includes JDM Club racing, Drift/Touge events, all leading up to either D1GP events or a full Super GT championship. If you want to race in America, again starting with Production Club races and building up to things like ALMS or the Indy 500.

The basis of the idea is from GT4, but even in that game there was no clear line of progression up the racing ladder.

Not enough varied events in GT5!

B-Spec should be implemented into the main game a-la GT4, which would give more time to be spent on making more events.

Something along the lines of:

Supercar Cup
Ferrari vs Lamborghini
Gran Turismo Tuned Car Challenge
Group C Racing
World Sports Car Championship
Japanese Tuned car series
Petite Le Mans Series
Sprint Races

Having played Forza 4, I did like the idea of having a massive list of events which would be picked at from random depending on what car you were in during career mode.

Randomly generated events or an event generator similar to the one in GT2, but a bit more up to date.

Neither of these would count for much unless they're on long races. Sure, the weight you shed by burning fuel and the slight wear on tires experienced over a ten-minute race would technically make an impact on your car's performance, but it would be negligible. With a multi-class race wherewith you have two different performance levels, one class won't see the other after the start for several laps, unless you stagger the performance of the two dramatically. Even if you had a road race with one class as F1 cars (just as an example, since GT6 can't have F1) and the other Sprint Cup cars, it would still be like four or five laps before the F1 cars come around to lap the NASCARs. Until the two classes see each other again, the other class might as well not even be there.

Yes, the events in GT6 will, apart from other things like much better AI, be one of the most important things when i will be deciding to buy it.
- After GT2 they just gave up on thinking what to include as Aspec races. Since GT3 they just copying themselves with Aspec events with very little effort to make new (obviously new Lambo/Ferrari events, wow :grumpy:).
- My best hopes are that they will NOT include any single race Aspec event in GT6. Better be all championship (multiclass maybe).
- Also I would like constructor (NSX/NSX RM trophy etc.) races again like it was in GT2, only now as championships with random circuits.

Heres some of my favourites of past GTs or my own (i have excel sheet about that):
Megaspeed Cup (no RM)
Normal Car Cup (no tuning, CM tyres)
Super/lightweight cup (under 800kg/1000kg, no RM)
Heavy Cup (over 1750 kg, max weight added limited to 50 kg)
Station wagon cup
pre70's/70's/80's/90's/00's/10's Challenge (differed also by drivetrain, power, etc..)
Grand Tourers Cup
4door Saloon Car Cup
Special guest star from GT2
Event Synthesizer

You can go on and on almost forever making more events with (slightly) different requirements, which will require almost every car which is in Gran Turismo game.

Slightly off-topic:
I would like to see an online licence to be in GT6, teaching how to race each other and dont hit any car even in T1 with 16 cars on grid. Without the licence you will not be eligible to race online (apart from your own lobby).

GT300, Group B rally, Group C sports cars, vintage Trans Am, Bring back F1, IMSA GT, ect

Most of the cars are already there for these events and losing F1 has bothered me since GT4 came out.

Oh and more one make races. As boring as some were in GT4 some were pretty interesting. Its pointless to have 1000+ cars if most of them are useless.

Basically, my idea is based on the TGTT challenges, but they don't involve the same cars as GT5, they are races like the ones on the show, such as people carrier racing, and the bus racing.

M3 Trophy
Japanese Kei Car Cup ("Lightweight K-Car Cup"?)
European Clio Cup Championship ("Clio Trophy"?)
Viper vs Corvette ("Stars and Stripes" has the same cars plus other American supercars)
Le Mans Classics (pre 1970) ("Historic Racing Car Cup"?)
Vtec Power: Honda Civic Invitational ("Civic Race"?)
Lamborghini Gallardo Tropheo ("Trofeo Gallardo"?)
European Touring Car Championship
Elise Spec Cup ("Elise Trophy"?)
Lancer vs Impreza Duel
Nissan Z Cars invitational ("Club Z"?)
Nissan mm-R Cup (faster version of "March Brothers"?)
Classic Tarmac Rally Cup
Modern Tarmac Rally Cup
MR2/S vs Miata (core of "Spider and Roadster"?)

You say you don't like the "same events since GT1", but you list "new" events that roughly correspond with tried and tested PD events from recent GTs. The ideas for events have never been a problem with GT games, just execution (entry regulations, car balancing, # of races, # of laps, etc.) and in GT5 the low number of events is an additional problem.

Horsepower limited races. 200hp cup, 300hp cup, 450 hp cup etc. Also I mentioned in a different thread about wanting PD to implement a touge mode. So a touge championship would make me happy as well.

My idea for GT6's races and events. A very long post, so here is the link

Liking it a lot... 👍

Those were really great events in GT1, I replayed them nonstop for 1 year or so, never got old... I can't believe PD banished them from later GT games...
