OK, just wondering if anyone had seen anything that indicates there will be weather in GT5 yet? Moving Window Wipers, stuff like that?

Here's some evidence I found:

I think there are more than a million polygons in each snow flake and not two are identical... hope that made someone smile... :) Seriously could PD have picked a worse car for Santa to deliver presents in than the Elise?

That doesn't prove anything, I believe it was the intro to GT Concept 2001 that had a car racing through rain.

Nope, that was released last year, a couple of days before Christmas.

Justin is not talking about the video on the first post. ddooohhhh. But about a video in 2001 with rain, and no weather changes in GT3 or GT4. Hence, the christmas video of the first post is proof of nothing, just PD saying have a nice christmas and happy new year.

No video only word of from the horses mouth here

Of course even though he mentioned the inclusion doesnt mean it will actually be included or be anything more then just wet roads.

I'm sorry but that's very bad German> English translation. The fist Q+A shoul be more like this:

The graphics of “GT5 Prologue” are incredibly realistic. What can be done to make this game even better?
Kazunori Yamauchi: GT5 will offer a wider selection of vehicles and tracks.
And we will provide more features for online communities. We are also working at full speed to create lifelike graphics that depict rain and the night.

Here's the concept video with the Nissan Concept Car in the rain:

btw I was just kidding with the Christmas video, I thought it might make some of you guys who are no doubt as eager to hear any news about GT5 as I am smile a little... :)

imo evidence of day/night in gt5 is the clock in gt5p, same for the weather with the little widget that tells the temperature for some cities
...and the calendar makes me think we will be able to organize our events

It's possible because this seems to be all in game. So we might get light rain and light snow with shiny road. I hope we get weather change and not an OPTION, I want it to be able to race and see it change before my eyes. I hate GT4 and GT3 rain courses.

Well, they are there for a reason and i think you are probably correct in your assumption that they are there for the reason which you assume.....probably.

So does that mean Santa will be a playable character.:dopey:

Its been a while since i had a go at MS Flight sim, but i am sure they had real world weather which is updated every 15 minutes? by that i mean if your playing on the sim at home and its raining but you fly to sunny Spain....when you depart from your local airport its raining but when landing in spain its sunny... am i making this clear? if not ill try again later.

Yeah this is exactly what I wanted for GT5, perhaps an option for when you setup your own races, you can't really have it for time trial and career mode races.

Yes MS FS has had this for a long time now. Real time weather is a easy thing to do as they already have the data, it just all depends if PD has made a weather engine.

They are working on it and we will see it, in what form, we don't know yet...
I'm hoping for some night rain race :)

I swear I have talked about this in another thread.. OH YEAH I did. Y'all need to and stop with the needless threads. I only search the GT5 section now to see what sillyness is happening. Come on people.

My point proven here. Its called Jensen Weather, as discussed previously.
