Welcome to Exeter GT Tuning. Here you will find a lot of tunes for all classes and varieties of cars. If you can't find a car in my garage that can win you a career race or seasonal event, do let me know so I can rectify that. The aim of the Exeter GT Tuning is to create tunes that can win career races, seasonal events and generally provide tunes that are fun and easy to drive.

I also enter my tunes into FITT events and occasionally host an event so keep an eye out on them from time to time. Enjoy your time on my page and I look forward to seeing what you think of my work.

Please review any tunes you use and let me know what you think of them. If anyone wants to comment, constructively criticise and general banter, feel free.

This garage is now being linked so you can go straight to the tunes with one click. However, I will still use the old navigation system of page number and post numbers as that worked really well when this garage was created.

Transmission Guidelines for Exeter GT Tunes

The link above explains how to alter transmissions for different tracks and which cars have set transmissions. Please read if you find that a particular transmission setup doesn't suit the track that you are driving.

Exeter GT Tuning Top 10 Tunes Project

The top 10 tunes project is a side project I am doing to see if there are any cars which stand out from the rest by seeing what my contributors think. I will be looking for common themes and cars which are mentioned more than once and will try and create a list of the top tunes that everyone should try out from this garage. its purpose may change over time but I am keeping it simple for now.

How to find tunes in Exeter GT Tuning

After each car which has been tuned, there will be a Px. X directs you to the page in Exeter GT Tuning where the tune can be found.

+. + is the post number where the tune can be found

Hopefully by not using links, the page won't have any technical issues like the last one did.

You can use the search option (Mac is cmd+F, PC is Control+F)
Search by name of the car you are looking for and it should scroll through the posts until you find the car you are looking for.

Update: Quick links to every 10th page has been added in Post 2 beneath the picture of the Renault Megane Race Car to make it quicker to get to the area of this thread when finding relevant tunes.

This car can't be forced to go round sharp corners very easily. Brake in a straight line prior to the corner, turn in under low pressure breaking and then power on out when you can see a straight line out of the corner. It is not the nicest of cars to turn in but it is fast out of the corners if this approach is taken. Too much power going into a corner and it will spit you out the other side in a cloud of smoke.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Tested on Silverstone circuit. Lap time on SS tyres. 2.05.

Tuned and tested on Tour of America. Wins by 25 - 32 seconds on each track. like an american muscle car, it does not like tight corners at speed so the best technique is slow in, fast out. Brake earlier than normal to ensure you hit the apex at the right speed.

This car was set up to win on the Nascar races. It makes the road races very easy but just watch the rear end doesn't step out when accelerating from sharp corners. Nice and easy is the key to this car.

if the transmission doesn't work for you. Try setting the max speed to 149mph when building the transmission and it has been shown to resolve the issues others have faced.

I used the daytona tune from the GT6 directory to win the other races in this series which is very good too.
