A nippy, well balanced Mark 1 Golf. Low RPM Turbo gives this 400PP car a edge over other 400PP FF cars.

A balanced car that needs good throttle control in the bends. Not a car for mashing the throttle button as the tyres will light up easily. Designed to corner well at normal speed and accelerate out of the bend like a rat up a drain pipe.

Tuned with TCS 1 and ABS 1. Tested on Willow Springs 20 Mile Challenge. Won by 6 second without breaking a sweat! (even though I slid off the track on the very last lap) Pitted at end of Lap 4. Cruised to the end.

This tune was edited on 13.06.14 for the A Spec Seasonal. Now has a lot more movement in it and runs a lot better at Suzuka Circuit. Can consistently run at 2.04-2.05s for the win. (mind the AI at hair pins though, they sometimes forget to brake)

This car was set up to win on the Nascar races. It makes the road races very easy but just watch the rear end doesn't step out when accelerating from sharp corners. Nice and easy is the key to this car.

I used the daytona tune from the GT6 directory to win the other races in this series which is very good too.

The 1st gear doesn't allow me to go to 2.516?

The 1st gear doesn't allow me to go to 2.516?

IMG_0054.JPG

This is the screen shot from my setup. It has been a while since I tuned this car but my first suggestion is to try the final gear at 4.500 and see what 1st gear number you can get. If it doesn't tally, I use Praiano63 gear set up system. I set the final gear to high right value on the slider. Pick a top speed. in this case 180mph. 1st gear is the lowest value to the left. 2nd gear is lowest value to the left, 3rd gear is about 20% on the slider and 4th gear is 75% value. This is how i set my gear box up for the road track version.

It is not my usual gear set up as normally I would set the gearbox up for 20% 40% 60% etc etc. that normally gets a nice constant gradient on the graph line.

Hope this helps in some way.

A solid base tune for the SLS AMG '10. Car is grippy, good at corners and has a good top speed. It can go faster if you are using it for route X. All you need to do is adjust the final gear to 2.000 or 2.200

I will probably refine this for the super cup races when I come to use it on them. For now though, this tune makes this car very manageable for the amount of power it is.

This setup can achieve in my hands 1.39.5 doing a scrappy lap with a few errors on route. TCS 1 and ABS 1. All other aids turned off. Very easy car to drive.

Rechecked - After other people have got 471PP, I have gone back through my tune and made sure the information here is correct. I would suggest for anyone using this tune. Do it in this order to see if you are in the PP range.

1. Add Aero Kit Type A
2. Change wheels (if desired)
3. Add power upgrades and apply power limiter
4. Weight Reduction and add ballast
5. Check PP and it should need the oil Changing. If your PP is out of range do not change oil and adjust power limiter to reach PP.
6. Set gear box once all power upgrade and engine work has been completed.

Hi Shaun. Thanks for the tune. I had just tried three laps of TM on my own set-up and could not even make bronze. I set the car up with your tune, and I went straight to silver - tried a few more laps for gold, but not happening, so I went back to look at your tune. To my surprise I found that for 450pp my BHP was way down at 218 - checked and triple checked everything - then I remembered when I bought the car, I fitted custom rear spoiler and floor pan - removed them both, and now my pp is up to 259. So I am about to have another go - I will let you know how I do. Crazy, but it seems improvements to a car are not really improvements with this system.

!:39.798, after tweaking the sus a bit to compensate for the missing spoiler which, surprisingly, was making a big difference to the handling - more than I expected on TM. Huh, the rankings are closed now.

I agree with you. I have found that full area kit really helps some cars (such as the Elise '11) as is it super light already so getting it to go fast is not hard, but due to the PP constraints of the time trials it was not worth adding PP through floors and even a wing. Power is more important in time trials although I find that front aero makes a car a little more balanced and the PP addition from this can be remedied by adding ballast to accommodate the power parts that are required.

Im glad that the tune helped you on your way. I try to make it easier for people who don't have wheels to get the easy money and free gifts PD give out.

Currently re-tuning my Lancer X tune for the snow seasonal. I am about 4 seconds off having gold with a base tune so its getting there. I am leaving the Rocket tune for a few days as I have to complete a psychology assignment for tomorrow. That rocket car is going to take me a while to get right as I have attempted a base tune before and it wasn't very successful then. Will do something good for it though that can get gold for DS3 users.

Wow. Look at the bottom of the wheels in this picture. Strange. Did you lower ride height on this tune and the programming just raised the wheel or maybe just cut off the bottom of them. Interesting.
Im not sure that lowering the ride height would make the wheel sink into the ground like that. I didn't notice that until now! Maybe this car is such hot stuff it melts the ground when it stays still for too long! I think that the photo mode may have glitched a little. Perhaps PD will fix it with a update in future?

Very grippy in the snow, keeps its lines easily and effortlessly. I am currently on 1.21.9 but I am not great on snow so this car can be faster in someone else's hands. My issue is the 2 tight bends where you have to get the right line but once i nail that, Ill have gold.

Updated time: 1.20.711 (Took a while but got the two tight bends right finally!)

this is so awesome!!!! I'm using this setup for Nissan GT-R R35 Touring in Group GT3 Series races. wish me luck. You are the Man!!! just finished the Group GT3 Series, any kind of turn or curve on the track was nothing to the car & your setup. always with hp to spare regardless of the ai cars that would a way to catch up or bash me & run. the grip in each lap of every race was always there. thank you. awesomeness lives here on this page.

Thank you. Thats quite a compliment. That GTR tune is one of my favourite ones for the amount of the power it has. Good to know that it works on other GTR's as well. I hadn't actually tried it on the other ones but I shall give it a go! I I shall be working on more high power cars soon. I feel a re-worked Audi 5.2 on the books as it needs tinkering with for the 10 lap Ascari race.
