a 11 lap random race at Sardegna track b with the Ferrari 512, there was a caution at spa last night from me giving an ai a small tap which took a 2nd ai with it hitting a wall off track.

Checked out the D-Type in VR and had to have it! Sold a Bugatti and several other "gift cars" to raise the funds.

So happy!

Did a few more Daily Cs.

Race 1 starting from dead last in the Jag. By mid-way through lap 1 I was up to 8th due to a whole bunch of people fighting and wiping each other out early. Rest of the race was trying to get by a "Boosh" racer that kept blocking and side swiping. They ended up with a 4 second penalty for punting someone else. Finished in 6th. I don't like the Jag as it's harder to rotate.

Race 2 I picked the Aston, anticipating having to get around "Boosh" again. Thankfully they weren't in the lobby though. Started 15th. Usual chaos on the first lap and eejuts blocking and side swiping. Finished 2nd with 13 places gained.

Checked my profile and noticed alt account is now DR: C. It took me more races to go from DR: E to D (6) than it did to go from DR: D to C (4).

So while I've perfected Short shifting for Fuel saving (Something that never worked for me in GT Sport), I've started practicing another method while using the Peugeot 908 in the WTC 900 race at Le Mans: Letting off and slowing the rise of the RPMs. What I'm basically doing is when the car reaches the 190s, I'm balancing the throttle to not go to beyond 195 MPH. So the results I've gotten are as follows:

Shortshifting alone: Gives me an additional lap, perfectly cutting the race in half (5 laps then pit, good for the final 5 laps).
This new method: Gives me 2 addtional laps, allowing 6 laps on fuel before pitting and then finishing those final 4 laps.

I'm basically doing alot of experimentation and seeing what methods work and are the most beneficial for fuel saving.

You can get it for "free" - or at least "a lot less" - by picking up the E-Type, XJ220, and XJR-9 to complete Extra Menu #37.
Or (by the very smallest chance) you can be like me and somehow get lucky to be gifted one by the game from a ticket (Don't remember which but it was before that extra menu). No idea why but between this and the XJ13 in Sport, GT loves just giving me Expensive Jags for some reason.

some practice at circuit experience on each weekly track improved my lap times by a couple of seconds on average on each track.

Flipped back to the main account. Hammered out the weekly challenge races quickly to get above 20mill credits. Noticed the Shelby Daytona is in the Legendary Dealership, considered it... Considered it. Decided not to buy it.

Watched 30 seconds of the GTPlanet Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 video. Couldn't watch anymore as I couldn't reconcile that Famine actually smiles... Always thought of Famine as being this omnipotent overlord of seriousness and discipline. Can't watch any more of that or the world may completely fall apart around me!

Set up a fun Goodwood race using the 61 Ferrari 250 Passo Corto and appropriate opponents. Then I knocked out a gold time in the Delorean Time Trial. To round it off I finished up the weekly challenge and pulled a LaFerrari!
