Having fun running my badly tuned 599 the past week or so. The big ole beast cant quite cut it with the horde of California piloted cars, but i find the 599 is just fun to drive. (if anyone has a good tune then dont be shy 
)
I've come across a few GTP racers and have had some good honest fun. Sorry to GTP_Reverse for the tap tonight mate. Didnt cost you the win, but it was a bad move by me. The large 599 isnt too good under extreme braking

Likewise, the F40 just can't keep up with the fast cars. It annoys me a little that some people think just because they have a faster car they have right of way and push you aside, so I rarely survived turn 1 when I have more success in other cars.
I had fun though, the F40 is a surprisingly easy and comfortable car in this event, just....slow.

wow I struggled to get 10'54.xxx w/ 599GTB, the handling I'm fairly satisfied with, can't get the gearing down right though! Tried to extend 2nd so I get great throttle control thru the first half of the track, but those Cali's keep pulling away from me just before the T3 and the home stretch...

I hope I can make it on tonight. I will probably use the 512 BB, as the F40 isn't really fast enough.
Edit: Damn system update. This could prevent me from playing tonight, as updates take so long for me.
Edit 2: Update finished, I'm on for some racing.
Edit 3: What's wrong with these people? No one respects the classics, except Thanos from GTLM squad. I could have had a good battle with him if not for my own mistake.
And where are the GTP'ers?

I'm new to this forum but have raced online in GT5
for some time now. I seem to have got myself hooked on this Ferrari-event and thought I'd give it a go with this segment of more serious racers but in order to do so it would be of a great help if I knew when you are racing. I've understood that "xx:15" means quarter past and so on but with time of day?
Looked around this forum and think it looks great by the way,

You will find most people racing in the evenings.
These type of events are running all day as long as you can find a competitor for it.
That's why no hours are specifically mentioned, only the starting time in minutes.
This is also easier with all the different time zones involved.

Hey man, welcome to the forum! The event times are for all times of day, morning, afternoon, evening etc. Because this is a world event there will always be many users and a few GTP members in at most times of the day. Peak time is probably around 6PM GMT onwards I would guess?

I believe the screenname for the Japanese racer that everyone is talking about is ikayakisoba226 [JP] (or something close too it). He took me out of 4 races last night, I watched him end multiple GTP and GTRP racer's races and I watched two races of him and mr_geez beating on one another from 3rd (actually more like mr_geez getting beat on). He is the absolute worst kind of driver, very fast and very dirty.
Another driver to watch out for is ashdtv [US], who I see has been mentioned here already. Same type of driver, fast and dirty. I've shared multiple PSN messages with this one and he couldn't be more thick headed. To be fair he will sometimes race you clean, but only if you are as fast as him and don't "slow" him down (and he is very fast) but usually by the final lap he will take you out for the win regardless. He has done it to me multiple times and I've watched him do it to a few others.
Both of them were on the grid last night over and over.

ashdtv, you are very fast, but for God's sake, why are you pushing other cars out of the way instead of overtaking them cleanly? isn't it more FUN to have a good clean battle (and not always win, I know it sucks not to be a winner every time but come on! I believe you can handle it, if not, just stop drinking "steroids&road rage shake" every morning,I'm sure that will help) than to just punt your way through the field?

What Sejtur means is that he saw a GTRP-member being pushed off by HerrMax, not that HerrMax is a GTRP-member
