Finally,I think i have my gearbox settings right thanks to some help from GTP_zed300...cheers my friend:cheers:.And once again had some good good clean laps with GTP_wolfdude as we work our way through the carnage last night (aus-time) @ Sukuka ...

Well in that case, I have no need to test your car.:P
I still wouldn't mind your opinion anyway mate.re;suspension settings.....And maybe i should have written it like "I THINK"because I'm still tweakin it a little..yeh!!:boggled:

Well, OK.

They've gotta fix this player matching stuff. It takes far too long, too often. Tried just then to join the :30 race only to wait 2 mins before i get cannot connect to host, then wait another 2 minutes before it manages to get me in another race, of course by then, with no GTP'ers. So 4 minutes to get into a race. Not good enough.

What the hell happened in that race? RBE had a field day. My average lap time in the 512 is a 2'07-2'08, in that race I was coming 3rd/5 and the best I could manage was 2'12-2'13?:odd: I've run faster laps from 1st place with a 5-10sec advantage on a field of 10.:odd:

Also, what's the fastest lap anyone's ever done in the 512 BB? I've just done a 2'06.8 in Free Run, I'm so proud of the old girl.:D

The RBE is rather insane lately. it's almost that PD tweaked something on their servers. it's especially bad if you are in the lead for the full race. For example today I had the following two races;

Race 1 (in a F430 and I lead from turn one)
Lap 1: 2'09.9 (+3.2 sec lead)
Lap 2: 2'04.8 (+5.1 sec lead)
Lap 3: 2'08.7 (+2.7 sec lead)
Lap 4: 2'15.1 (+0.4 sec lead)
Lap 5: 2'12.8 (was passed in slipstream on back straight by two Californias)

I made no mistakes and had no offs. I drove the same line on each lap and had no wobbles or missed brake points. The field was a 12 car grid, with two other GTRP drivers (who passed me on the final lap) and a bunch of slower drivers +12secs behind the top three. I knew when I had that lead after lap one that I had no chance. Especially in a F430, even if I drove a perfect race, which I did. RBE and the exaggerated slipstreaming had me doomed.

Race 2 (In a 512 lead from the start)
Lap 1: 2'10.6 (+2.1 sec lead)
Lap 2: 2'07.3 (+3.8 sec lead)
Lap 3: 2'12.2 (+1.4 sec lead)
Lap 4: 2'14.4 (swapping the lead with a California over the whole lap, the two of us had a +5 sec gap on the 7 car field)
Lap 5: 2'15.3 (I started the lap in the lead, held off the Cali until the exit of spoon, the rest of the pack caught us both by the final chincane, I finished lat as I was rammed from behind into that chincane, the Cali was punted on exit)

I can get the Cali catching me as the 512 is hard to drive a perfect race with, I had no massive mistakes that should have lost me that much time though. There is NO WAY a full field of punters all playing with one another should be able to catch the two of us (the other driver was one of the faster german non-tagged drivers we all see) who were slipstreaming one another and driving a clean race. RBE in full effect, rather disappointing.

See a pattern? Lap 1 and especially lap 2 you seem to be able to run unaffected by the RBE, lap 3 it starts to slow you, lap 4 RBE utterly destroys you (like a sail has sprouted from your trunk) and lap 5 it backs off a little but but by then the damage is done and you have no chance, especially driving any other car than the California.

When Spec III first launched I personally gapped the field in many races and as long as I had at least a 2sec lead I could hold he field off. Many GTRP drivers were doing the same and commented on the same 2sec gap. Now I rarely see that happen, even with drivers that are downright fast and should easily be able to walk away from a field.

I can only guess PD has tweaked something. Maybe that explains those few day where we all had some many disconnects and laggy races a last week.

Sorry about that real early braking at Degner 2 on the final lap, Supersonic-88, in the race which just went by. :indiff:

I've been doing the F40 race most the day and now since going back to this one I find myself not paying attention then screwing up and lost the interest, I will relax and play some GTA.

You didn't screw up when I was hounding you for 2nd. I just wasn't quite able to make up enough ground to make a clean and safe overtake.

It was a great race BTW.👍

No major mistakes (except the one that put me back into the pack which then you were on my heels :P) but lots of little errors that eat tenths each lap, your 512BB has quite a tune BTW (and you drive it well), nice going.

That race was my first at going back into the California, then the next few races I got even more tired and made lots of big mistakes, now I am relaxing back causing havok in GTA. :D

*EDIT* Just curious is that 512BB tune you posted as TLD? (which I havent tryied) Or is it a special personal tune? *wink*

It is the very same one that is currently in The Lion's Den. And don't you forget the crash I had on lap 1 (I think) that allowed you to get ahead in the 1st place.:sly: Yeah, I seen your mistakes, lots of lift-off oversteer there was so much tyre smoke coming out (I originally thought it was just lag). Admittedly, I'll never keep up with a well driven Cali unless I manage to slipstream like I did against you.
Have fun killing the street bums.:sly:

Can't take a trick at the moment. Getting hit off constantly. There's some very dirty drivers out there.

EDIT: This is a joke, in my current race i was hit off 3 times in the first 5 corners.

This event has brought out some really close races, I like that. It's especially good when we have 3 cars from the same manufacturer that are all capable of victory. The battles I had today against Calis and F430s (with me driving the 512 BB as always) were within centimetres and still no contact, that's what racing is about.:)
That said, I wouldn't object to an events change soon, get some low PP events in there, like 500 PP on S3 tyres and 600 PP on S3 tyres or something.

Gets my vote too 👍

On at xx:15 . I'l try and keep up or out of the way

I'm starting now...

I was the host I think, and most people couldn't race because of my connection I think... But it's weird that I was first at the table and then when the race started I was 6th. Or is the first one on the grid the host?

Hi a1PAPAOSA,

It was nice racing with you too... good & clean, although I think I may have been too slow at times & would seem to be blocking you ;) ;) It was quite intimidating seeing you so close from my rear view mirror... caused me to make mistakes too... good strategy... lol...

Cheers!

First on list is host, first on grid is the car with the least PP.

Sorry Rudi for the little taps, and racer_lp, I nearly took you off, luckily my car ghosted.. put my rear wheel on the grass.. :(

Sorry.
