Sorry to Chrasher and RickGT5 (dunno if he's familiar with GTP) for the bump at 130R. Lost orientation and braked too late :ouch:

It's been a great day today. Lots of entertaining races đź‘Ť

Now a line from a Pink Floyd song fits pretty well.. It goes: "Is there anybody out there"

Joining at :30!

I'll be in at :00. It's been a while...hopefully there's not too much rust to be polished off  đź‘Ť

Burnout, sorry if I didn't give enough room in T1, but I sure tried.

timeattack, great racing! Looks like you're fully up to speed! And, sorry about the start of your first race. I thought the blue car on my right had balked at the start (lag maybe?), so when I saw you coming up on my left, I eased right only to bump him and have him hit back. Big mess from there. Again, sorry.

No problem man...thanks for waiting :) That was a great battle between you, bennant and myself. Good stuff!

No problem. I understood. It's always fun side by side stuff!

No rust to be removed there! I watched... for a couple of laps... then a little mistake, and the correction ruins everything.

I think I need a wheel... when your have to be right on the limit with other people around, the wheel gives more room to take different trajectories and make accurate corrections...

Great job trying to keep up with our group...you were right there for a bit. Your car definately looked a bit loose out there. I'm in the same boat as you...being that I use the 6-axis. Driving at the top level using the controller definately isn't the easiest thing, especially when there are other cars around. Practice, practice and more practice is the only reason I'm fairly good when using the 6-axis. Using a wheel definately allows you to be more accurate with your inputs and corrections like you said...so yea we are definately in needlol. See ya!

Welcome to the site, GTP_BackMarker!

The competition will tend to be much stiffer in a scheduled event like this than a random event online. There is still quite a bit of variation in skill amongst members who participate, and this changes over the course of the day with region. It also tends to be busier on the weekends.

Don't be afraid to join the event though, and race to the best of your ability. Some of the best races I've had have been fighting for 6th place in a field of truly exceptional racers.

The one thing to make sure of is that you respect the other drivers and race as cleanly as possible.

See you on the track! đź‘Ť

Welcome! :)

Yes it's a very nice event, I've had some very good races today!
But you'll probably will get smoked by most people because you're a backmarker. Sorry for the lame joke...

It's actually too tight, so it snaps a bit and bites me when on the limit :)

On at XX:00 if anyone's racing :)

And again we missed each other! Been braking in the F40 (loads of fun) but didn't manage to get in one with you.

See you guys later

Great racing you guys tonight GTP_Flash48 and GTP_TwistyBits. You seem a lot faster in that California Flash.

I hope I wasn't pushing too hard, I know I was making some late passes and forcing side by side entry into some fast corners while you guys both seemed much more gracious. Call me out if I am, I'm trying to learn the etiquette. :)

Your etiquette seems fine to me. I just wish I could get by. :banghead:

Great racing with you and GTP_Twistybits! Ya the Cali is easier to go fast in for me, but i still like driving the 512. And no you were not pushing to hard, side by side racing is the most fun! See you and Twistybits tomorrow maybe. And again the racing was great!:)đź‘Ť

I really wanted to know, but no one answered me before, has anyone else taken the 512 BB into the 2'06s? I did a 2'06.8.

Edit: In Free Run obviously.

Yes, I got it into the 2'06's too. Don't remember how far, though.

Interesting, so I'm not the fastest in the 512 BB.:sly: But yeah, when most Calis only do a 2'05-2'06 there's not much in it, and the F430 is somewhere between them.

I tested it and I ran almost same times with the cali and f430.. 2'04.9 with California and 2'05.1 with the f430.. I'm sure there's plenty time to shave still though, on both. đź‘Ť

Having seen you disappear into the distance a couple of times in races, Timppaq I think it's a shame that this race is not open to other manufacturers, because I'd suggest you should be permitted nothing more powerful than a Capuccino to give everyone else a chance! :sly:

That's probably because you weren't sober then, Timo ;)

You and Zabeu are the ones who have given me the most competition in the Ferrari event đź‘Ť

edit2:

Joining after a little visit to the outside world and fresh air... about 2h from now.. đź‘Ť
