Explosion in Manchester UK

So far there's 22 confirmed dead and 59 injured. Greater Manchester Police have said it was a lone atacker who died in the explosion. I don't tihnk anyone I know was at that concert but my condolences go out for the friends and families of the victims. A bit close to home this.

A friend of mine works in Manchester near the stadium and they had to send an email round asking if everyone was present and had made it in to work. Scary stuff. I believe they're all OK though.

That however is an aside, the majority of attacks have not been carried by immigrants, but rather radicalised citizens. As such automatic calls to close borders are more than a little premature.

The last big bomb in Manchester was off the Catholics so. They didn't represent the majority of their religion and nor do the latest crop of religious idiots.

I was in Manchester this weekend. It is a great city that will not be beaten by such tragedy.

My condolences go out to all the victims and their families. And a reminder to all: stay strong, and do not lose faith.

Given that she has called for gunboats to open up on refugee boats I wouldn't be quite so quick to give her the benefit of the doubt.

If you're at the point where you're willing to strap a bomb on your chest and kill as many people as you can, I doubt the age of the victims is of much concern to you. The pop concert venue was a deliberate choice IMO, they're sending a message.

Notably, as with their claim of responsibility in the Westminster attack, they do not (or cannot) name the attacker.

Apparently so, I've seen a few Facebook posts about some schools receiving calls saying that there is a bomb and saying that the kids are going to be beheaded too, in schools to scare everybody. Around my local area aswell not just Manchester.
