I thought long and hard about this when making the purchase of the FGT in the dealership and went with (hope this describes it clearly enough as there seems to be no colour names from what I could see) silver/black/red...

Stigy: Don't think I can make it. Only been doing circuits of Silverstone thus far. Bathurst may just be a little too much without some miles behind me first... Good question about the colouring...

Appreciate the offer. I just know that I will be off track every lap at the same spot. Would have done some test laps there already as certainly is my favourite track, but, sadly, not there yet. It would be just too embarrassing!!

immortal I might take my Sunday vacation since this is the last or one of the last pre season races and its nice to have Sunday afternoon freed up atleast once in a while.

Guys I have a big problem yesterday on my second world record stint my wheel got brocken its not more possible to drive with it , we must start 2 weeks later then I have a new wheel really sorry to say it to you guys but I want to drive also.

Time for an upgrade? If there is a better wheel out there than the one you had? Shame, but still can very well use the extra time to prep. Hope you can live without GT for a stint...

There's the T500. I think I would get a fancy cockpit and "man cave" before I went for that wheel.....I think 1 or 2 people in the world are probably faster with DS3 then I am with my G27.

Don't know much apart from Logitech as far as options go. T500 substantially better in your opinion than the G27? The latter of which most seem to be using on here from what I can tell. I have sort of learnt to live within the limitations posed by the DFP and tweaking it as best I can. Ain't broke yet, but that could change...
I am limited like most with available space, so clamped to the desk it is for the moment. A more permanent setup would, of course, be ideal. So, changing up the wheel is about as good as I can muster up.

Bad news m8, was looking forward to silverstone this weekend. Ive got to say im losing patients with gt6! SRF allowed on time trials? The second part of the red bull challenge 2 days late and still not available with no explanation? No 24 hour races? these thing are pissing me off

I dont know the difference if there is one, I imagine you can adjust things on the wheel with the T500 like TCS/ABS if its available in the room like you could with DFGT. Its also very heavy I think. So probably a lot more tweaking on the wheel that you cant do with the G27, and (I have never used it so dont know) a PS button so you can chat on the wheel and not have to use a controller or keypad on your lap.Thanks for the advice.
