@DolHaus tested your tune with changing only aero, using again ratio from fixed @Ridox2JZGTE tune, this improves a lot traction on your tune, it won't slip under anymore.
711/788 aero settings, there might be some minor polishing left, those are just direct calculation results, but working really well.

Results will hopefully be up tonight, just got to run through the last few again. Re tested with extra laps this time round and so glad I did as I obviously found different lines between 1st and last car. Some awesome lap times being posted, well done all.
Thanks biffa3 for being thorough & giving everyone a fair shot at the title :) 👍

How are you working out the aero? what is the formula?
On this case it was from testing @Ridox2JZGTE tune, fixing it by senses to go well, then just calculating ratio of front and rear springs to aero. Ratios were on front 569/14.28=39.8459.. and rear 704/21.43=32.8511..
Just to get some direction what aero pressure springs will support, @Ridox2JZGTE uses soft dampers so it's good base point for aero pressure starting.
On other cars I also figure out by senses where is suspension limit to achieve slight compression on springs, but not too much to leave room for actual bumps and jumps. (Not always, before someone brings up my funny elise with maxed wings ;))
Calculator is real-life and GT6 tuners best friend.

Edit: if you want to test it further, try to count that ratio against weight balance kilos, and you have base aero ratio what you can try to test on other car with wings ;)

Great shootout @Pete05, thoroughly enjoyed testing these cars on this track. Here are my results.

All cars tested using DS3(X go, square stop) and direction buttons to steer. All aids off except driving line and ABS1, using auto transmission.

All ran for an initial 10 laps, which is where I usually stop, but decided to run the 1st few cars again and saw a marked drop in lap time, so went through the rest, all for an extra 5 laps.

Results posted as per tuner order.

Will provide consistently fast lap times if you can be consistent yourself. Had issue with the gearbox using auto trans with change down not being quick enough, which was the only thing stopping it being a 10.

Found this one a little tricky. Lots of red laps. Gearbox well suited to auto. Be careful not to lean on the tyres too much as the grip tends to disappear without warning.

@fordracer
Lap time - 1:25:170

Nice stable tune, although struggled to get the front end into the corner. Easy to get into a rhythm. Good under braking and gearing ok for auto.

Steady as she goes with this one. Turn in too hard and the rear will follow you round. Good under braking but grip inconsistent. Gearbox a bit strange in auto.

@Otaliema
Lap time - 1:24:417

Really struggled in this one, which is unusual for me in one of your cars. Struggled for consistent lines. Gearbox good. Could keep within .2 of Hami's but struggled to maintain speed through the higher speed corners towards the end of the lap.

@Pete05
Lap time - 1:24:315

Nicely balanced tune with a hint of oversteer if too hard on turn in. Gives consistent lap times and easy to get into a comfortable rhythm. I get the feeling from comments from other tuners that they struggle to know when to stop tuning, looks like you found that point with this one.

@Bowtie-muscle
Lap time;1:25.260 DC;9.97
Impression of the tune; This car was phenomenal, I knew I could hang it out to dry and it would stick. Turn in was spot on, acceleration was great. braking was perfect. The ONLY thing that could have been better was the transmission and this is just being nit picky. The individual gears were too long causing a loss of power on each shift other than into 5th gear. If I spun it was entirely my fault for pushing the car past its limits like say trying to take Turn 1 at 190 km/h :lol: almost made that just needed another 11 1/2 inches of curb -_- Excellent job sir.

@DolHaus
Lap time;1:25.661 DC;8.1
Impression of the tune; I could count on two things with this car. It would try to kill me in Turns 1, 4 and 6 every lap and understeer if I missed my entry speed. This was a very well built tune, but for me had a fair amount of understeer at entry-mid if I entered the turn even a little cold, and it had mid-exit understeer if I was hot. If I was in the groove with the car it was fantastic taking turns like a champ, barely needed the brakes on this car. It also didn’t like grass or curbs at all and that is not good for my style as I use the entire track and will put a wheel on a curb or the grass once a lap normally. Very good tune, well done.

@fordracer
Lap time;1:26.270 DC;7.8
Impression of the tune;This car and I sorta got along as I didn’t push it, it was a great drive, turn in was great, of throttle response was predictable and very good. But as I started to push the car I started to have problems. It didn’t turn under braking, it had push at exit, and I lost the backend a few times on some high speed turns. Very well done, I think the camber killed it honestly.

Bonus test camber set 0/0; Laptime 1:24.336 hit that in 4 laps. Once I adjusted to the entry need of the camber setting.

@Motor City Hami
Lap time;1:25.116 DC;9.999999999999(10)
Impression of the tune;Holy Grip monster batman! But for as much grip as this car has, it’s still very nimble and didn’t feel held back in the least from getting great lap times in it. I did find a touch of push here and there, I couldn’t tell if it was lack of rear rotation or lack of front grip as it just felt like the whole car was moving out. Pretty much everything on this car was perfect other than that one little detail. :bowdown: You are the Jedi Master

@MrGrado
Lap time;1:25.826 DC;9.5
Impression of the tune;This car was solid, quick and responsive. It didn’t like it if I tapped a curb in a corner and this caused many a spin out for me. The transmission could have been a tad longer in 5tth gear not by much, but I was rev bouncing on the front and back straights. I did find that the car was very smooth, and very consistent if I kept on the black stuff. Very nicely done sir.

@Otaliema
Lap time;1:24.855 DC;8.8
Impression of the tune;It’s my car so I know it well. After driving other cars I see the flaws I made, My gearing was touch short costing my speed and acceleration, my down force was a bit light costing me exit speed and my rear was too loose costing me stability and drive confidence at high speeds. Overall it’s still a very quick car, a little bit of bravery and dab of luck and pinch of driving line and it flies.

@Pete05
Lap time;1:26.072 DC;8
Impression of the tune;Try as I might, I couldn’t keep this car on the track consistently. It felt quick until I looked at the time and saw the 1:26. I couldn’t seem to hold a really good lap together on this one. It didn’t like curbs at speed. I would find a litle exit push and would snap oversteer when I corrected for it or would get no response and drift into the dirt and spin out. -_- I put 20 laps in trying to get the lap right. Sorry. Excellent outing for your first FITT tune 👍

@Ridox2JZGTE
Lap time;1:28.397 DC;9.1
Impression of the tune;After 25 laps I had to settle with this one. I couldn’t keep a totally clean lap with this. The back end would just step out on me if I touched grass or a curb. I also found I had to lift to make it through T5 and slow more for the final turn then other cars. I did find this car quite fun to drive and it will make me a better driver to learn this car. It is unforgiving, but fun, I’m sorry I couldn’t get a quicker lap. Very well built sir.

@shaunm80
Lap time;1:25.941 DC;9.5
Impression of the tune;Great tune solid, fast, consistent. It did feel heavy in the turns, and it did scrub a bit more speed than other tunes on the track but, unlike the faster cars I only had three red laps and all of them were my error in T2 or T6 trying to take them too fast or trying to get a little extra on the exit. Excellent job sir.

@sinof1337
Lap time;1:26.562 DC;8.5
Impression of the tune;Suspension, near perfect. Gearing, perfect spacing just lacking torque. Turn in, ok, exit, ok. The lack of aero forces ended up hurting this car. It just couldn’t quite take the turns as fast as the other cars with higher downforce and thus the lap time is lower. Say 2 kg more spring rate and say 400 points of aero combined front and back and this car would be in the 1:24’s in my hands. Great job sir.

Bonus test, added 0.50/1.50 kg springs and 200/200 aero. Lap time 1:25.147 👍

@xande1959
Lap time;1:26.540 DC; 8
Impression of the tune;This car was very well balanced. It never surprised me once I got used to it. Two big things that held this car up was the LSD and the Aero settings in my opinion. fourth gear was long but I was able to avoid the bog down into 4th by running to rev limiter in 3rd. Overall this was a very well done tune that just needs a little bit of polish. Well done sir.

You've got to be confident and precise with it, if you hesitate on entry you won't get the load into the suspension and generate the grip, decide where you're going and trust the car can handle it. 1 and 6 I can understand the spins but how on earth were you spinning on 3, its a gentle change of direction at best? :confused: :lol:

(I will not be held responsible for accidents involving a wheel on the grass, I built a racing car not a tractor :lol:)

but how on earth were you spinning on 3, its a gentle change of direction at best? :confused: :lol:
There is a slight elevation change in the track, nothing major, but with your car at BTW speeds and line I was still letting off the wheel when I would hit it and the back was just slide away from me. I had to adjust my line for T3 for your car to get through with out spinning. I'll see what I can do about getting to happen again and putting a video up.

Are you talking about T4? T3 is the left hander immediately after the first hairpin, T4 is where the gp/indy circuit splits, slightly blind left hander with a big red and white curb on the inside leading onto the back straight.
Yes I am I got the turns mixed up :banghead:

Nice stable tune but understeer and gearbox cost a quicker time.

@shaunm80
Lap time - 1:24:653

Nice stable tune to drive providing you are careful witht the go pedal on exit of the slower corner. Excellent turn in and good mid corner.

Lap time - 1:25:410

Another that had some understeer issues. Struggled to maintain speed through 1st and last corners which cost lap time.

@xande1959
Lap time - 1:25:427
DC - 7.5
Stable enough tune but issues with understeer and gearbox not suited to auto trans.
All testing done at BrandsHatch 80's circut. Grip set to real, ABS 1 only aid active. I gave all cars as many laps as I

@DolHaus

@fordracer

@MrGrado

@Otaliema

@Pete05

@Ridox2JZGTE

@shaunm80

@sinof1337

@xande1959
Thank you both for testing and for the kind words about my debut as a tuner :cheers: Some fast times there biffa3 👍

*sorry for the triple post. I didn't know I would be able to finish the testing today till right after I did the first update with @biffa3 only had 1 car left*

Less than six tenths of a second covering the average times for the top 5 & 0.03 separating the top of the tree in DC rankings proves just how close this little comp is :eek:

itt has been hasn't it.
So I have over hauled my tune and am in the process of publishing. If this had been my entry, I *think* Hami and I would have been with in a hundredth of each other.
Updated FITT WSR tune

I'll have to give your updated tune a spanking & see how much it screams :mischievous:

Thank you for testing and for the review, decent time as well :cheers: I think I pushed this one a bit hard, she'll do everything you ask of her if you ask nicely but forget to say please once and its over :lol:

You've got to be confident and precise with it, if you hesitate on entry you won't get the load into the suspension and generate the grip, decide where you're going and trust the car can handle it. 1 and 6 I can understand the spins but how on earth were you spinning on 3, its a gentle change of direction at best? :confused: :lol:

(I will not be held responsible for accidents involving a wheel on the grass, I built a racing car not a tractor :lol:)
:lol: I nominate Otaliema for the lawn mowers award :D

Man not online for a couple hours and I have to scroll my notifications window, all from this thread too :lol:

Indeed you have made quite the competitive challenge. This is how we (I) like to see them close and fun.

@biffa3 and @Otaliema thanks for the reviews. Made my day. I don't know what it was, but I just fit with that car. It feels a lot like the my Spec Miata. Aggressive turn in and back to the throttle early.
Indeed it does like a broken in old pair of jeans. They just fit.
If you have some time I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on the revamp. That goes for anyone else too. 👍

I get the 'scroll your notification window' thing almost every morning. Why do you guys live so far away? Stupid time zones :P
I'll have a review of your amended tune done by tonight my time.
