It is so beautiful!
Some may have seen that I was really struggling with making the decision of buying the PC version. I was playing on ps3 and it just wasn't cutting it. I don't know why it was bothering me so much, but it definitely was. Probably too much gt5 and iRacing.
Bought Grid on PC a few nights back for half off on Steam and seen F1 2011 was 25% off that night. I get on Steam tonight to play Grid and F1 2011 is half off.
I couldn't resist.
Anywho, its worth it. Its so smooth and the graphics are
. Playing on my laptop connected to a 37 in TV running 1080p. Graphics are all set to high with 8x msaa. The benchmark test gave me an average of 37fps and 32fps low. Doesn't sound like much, but it is way smoother than the ps3. Really these settings aren't really pushing my laptop too much either. CPU temps are around 60c and gpu Max temp was 67c after a hour of gameplay at Abu Dhabi. Running an i7, gtx 260m, 6 gb ram, 500 gb hard drive. I was a little worried about my gpu being a few years old, but no issue. The latest drivers have really made it shine with the newer games lately.
So anyone looking to make the jump to PC, do it. Especially if you're on the ps3. Whole new ball game on the PC. Couldn't believe how much different this game is. OK its not different(exact same game), but it is so crisp, clear, and smooth its unbelievable.
If there's any PC users in here, please post some links to some good mods or anything that could be helpful. Very familiar with this game, just not on the PC. I'm sure there are some quirks in it somewhere. I would go check out the CM forum, but it is a mess over there right now.
