F1 2017 Game General DiscussionF1 2017

Most realistic thing about this game:

Palmer is miles behind Hülkenberg

Hulk actually looks pretty strong...i decided not to start with Renault as they were ranked higher than i thought,so i went to the lower Haas.

My TM Grojean looks capable of some top 10s aswell.

I assume you mean stream.

The long and short of it is that the opening F1 graphic and track guide are copyrighted materials of Formula One Management, as they show up during the real race broadcasts. If your footage contains this introduction it will get flagged by YouTube's automated copyright dispute system (Content ID).

You will have to either skip that introduction every time it appears or find another way of not showing it in your videos.
Thanks for the help bro. It literally solve dmy problem

I think I have to restart my career now, all 8 ICE are damaged to 100%, going onto the PU components page closes the game with an error message. I still had quarter of the season to do too.

My Logitech G25 using F1 2017 from Steam vibrates like crazy on the straights; just like F1 2016 . It also appears I can not adjust FFB or steering inputs (linearity) on F1 2017 but could on F! 2016? Is this case or am I looking in the wrong place? Help! Then again maybe time for a new wheel :)

Whatn team did you start with because I feel like I'm in the same boat right now already on my 3rd engine

I had this problem too, but I pretty much had to turn down road effects to around 15-20 to get rid of that vibration on the straights.

Brilliant game so far! I enjoy it a lot.

Starteda career mode (96 AI, no assists) with the Haas team with team mate Magnussen (imagining Grosjean goes off to be a full time father lol). Anyways Melbourne, all tests were perfect except fuel saving and qualifying pace which really showed. Come qualifying two flying laps and I managed to get myself out in Q1 qualifying 16th

In the race I had a 1 stop strategy and all the mad pace the AI had in qualifying disappeared and I was able to finish a comfortable P7. My engine was 25% worn overall and gearbox 18% D:

Edit: @Markeeez18 I have experienced slight stuttering, thought it was just me

Do you guys also see the F1 Esports event with Sergio Perez on Monza? Is the F1 Esports competition already started? I thought it would start in September.

3 days away - if you go to the F1 2017 menu in game and select events you will see the countdown clock for the esports Monza event - I will be giving it a go.

Where do you find road effects in order to turn it down? Remember I am using the Steam edition of F1 2017 - never saw road effects in the wheel setup menu?

Not sure what the difference with the steam edition is, but for Xbox.

I went into Game Options > Settings > Customize Controls > Control Schemes >(in here I selected whatever control scheme it had checked. I saved it as a new control scheme, and I use the saved version) Select whatever control scheme you are using, and select edit > I tab over to Vibration & Force Feedback > Third one down is On Track effects, and I have that at 10 right now.

Ugh, two weekends in a row my team failed to complete an R&D development part...

I've also changed race length to 50%, now I get twice as much time in practice to complete my programs. If I feel comfortable with the car, I just skip FP3 completely to save engine parts.

Started my career with Haas, running on DS4 with no assists because I can now control deadzones and stuff, and also set the AI to 90%. Picked Grosjean as my teammate so I don't get told to suck on things in the media den. Finished 6th in Australia, same place I started. 100% races are ultra satisfying to me. Kimi and Sebastian pulled a 1-2. Hamilton retired, which spells trouble for Mercedes at the start. Grosjean also DNFd so I scored the team's points haul.

China was a very interesting event. I ran short qualifying, because I have a pattern of running one race with full qualifying, and the second race with short qualifying to keep it interesting on Saturday. It was a weather affected session, that dried out with 2 minutes to go. As a result, I again started 6th, while Romain, both Ferraris and Daniil failed to set a time. Bottas had pole ahead of Hamilton, Ricciardo, Massa, Perez, and myself. The race was equally staggering, with Kimi climbing to 7th before retiring. Bottas suffered a setback when he made contact with Carlos Sainz in turn 1. Sainz race was over, Bottas suffered a puncture. Ricciardo dropped out about midway, which gave me second. And I held on to second barely as Vettel was almost 3 seconds faster a lap than me at the end. Hamilton won, I was second, 1:10 behind. Vettel finished .35 seconds behind me. Palmer scored a fifth place finish. Grosjean racked together a 6th. And I now sit second in the WDC behind Vettel and just one point ahead of Lewis and Kimi. Bahrain should be a thriller, since I had the best top speed in China.

I can kinda confirm that the wear of the components at 100% isn't nearly as bad as at 50% or lower. Before 1.05, I was en route to making my first set of parts last all the way to Spain, so I expect now that I can push those parts through Spain and have fresh components for Monaco. However, the AI taking grid penalties are interesting as Vandoorne took a grid penalty in China despite qualifying 11th. Verstappen also took a grid penalty in China. Ultimately, I am absolutely enthralled with this game on a DS4. At some point soon, I'll do another career with my wheel and see how it goes. But it was worth the wait.

Fantastic game!!!, I pre-ordered it digital on the XBOX store and been playing every since release day. So far done mostly time trial and a few grandprix weekends (short practice, short qualy, 25% race distance), and trying out different cars and tracks. Playing on XBOX ONE with Logitech G920 on my Playseat, so far it feels absolutly awesome!

Trying to decide which team to start my Career with, Haas, Force India, Torro Rosso or Renault at the moment.

Hers my take on the monaco race weekendin Career mode running 25% race distance. Some Really interesting stuff took place
Okay so did the Canadian Gp today and some how managed to pull off a race win. I was at 80% difficulty for thi race

Currently running a renault and the engine and transmission are super weak along with mgk heat.

That is good to know, it also seems to be not as fast as the Mercedes powered Force India or Ferrari powered Haas.

I presume Torro Rosso is about the same as the Renault?

Anyone encounter the Safety Car overtaking bug? Situation: SC comes out, you queue up, then maintain the short distance. The AI cars behind try and find a way around you--- to the point of forcing through. They get along side and you're told to give the position 'back'.

I had this happen at the Hungaroring under two separate SC. The second time with only a handful of laps left and I tried to block them off, only to get a 5 second penalty for avoidable contact (or whatever they called it).

I've done two other SC situations and it didn't happen at different tracks (can't remember the first, but it didn't act up at Spa.

I've had a similar experience with the Virtual Safety Car at Albert Park. I slowed down as I was going beyond the delta limit and immediately lost two positions. I then overtook those cars again and got an "Illegal overtake, give position back" message. Clearly something is not working quite right here.

I'm not sure bro I haven't seen anyone run them yet in career mode

How much you wanna bet the first Codies heard of this issue was when people started complaining on the forum?

The least they could do is put out a patch with an option in the settings menu to disable the offending sequence.

The exact same VSC and SC bug was present in F1 2016, and was fixed in a patch. How do Codies manage to make a yearly game with the same bugs that were fixed in the previous year's iteration? What other bugs should we expect?
