F12 Berlinetta - arrived 29 Feb 2012

From the insiders, it will have a 9,000RPM redline. Car is also only 1 second behind the LaF on Fiorano. Somewhere around 800 units; allocations were sold out months ago.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is one sexy beast. Always has been. I think it looks better than LaFerrari. Seeing those pictures of the Ferrari F60 America is sweet! Normally, I prefer red Ferraris, but that blue (and blue is my favorite color) is quite sweet on this car. That is one sick Ferrari! I also like that SP America from the previous page also.

Nothing but love for this sweet car and its variants.

Wow that looks good.

Looks like a silver F12 TRS popped up. Its quite different from the red one.

I haven't seen the SP America in person yet. Very pretty.

The silver TRS is actually under some scrutiny from Ferrari because the owner did some extra modifications after he received it, which is why it looks different.

Interesting. I didn't realize they made more than one in the first place.

It's one of two, 1 in red & the car in question originally in black. The chrome is a wrap from what I've read. There are also a rumors of a third that were halted after the owner did these modifications.

Do you know what he/she did to it?
It's not known which coach builder did the modifications, but beyond the chrome wrap, they made the front splitter bigger & added 2 small canards into the lower grille & outside body work. Then of course, the headlights are different alongside removed engine cover. And as Eunos said, they completely changed up the rear & exhaust setup; the only thing untouched were those large curved body panels that made up part of the rear fenders.

This car according to the insiders is paying some tribute to the SWB cars, with the shortened rear window, rear vents, & the trick exhaust covers to make the car seem shorter than it actually is. This is supposedly the launch car as well.

If I was Danny Wegman I'd be a little upset that Ferrari would make a production car look so similar to his $4+ million one-off.

EDIT: Actually I'd probably take it as a compliment.

Ferrari should hire that person.
Whatever they did they made a damn lot cooler than what Ferrari delivered. Car designers are often a full of themselves bunch and sometimes the public have better ideas!
Yea because this guy totaly designed the car from scratch, Ferrari should definatey hire him so after their own guy has desgined a car then altered it for a one off they can then pay this guy to make minimal changes. I'd now be ******** bricks if i was Ferrari's designer!

Saw the car in person yesterday. In a word: wow. I *liked* the F12 but did not grow attached to it. The F12VS is a car I could see owning forever.
Car was just shown to US buyers during Pebble Beach. Could possibly be seen before Frankfurt/Geneva. 18 month production run.

Despite the classic race reference, the name really looks like someone at Ferrari accidentally hit random keys on their touch screen phone and forgot to read what they were sending when giving name suggestions for the car.
