Fallout 4

Yeah, I found it about an hour ago. Kind of annoying, because I stockpile gear and junk pretty quickly, so my only choice is to go back to the Commonwealth and deposit it. Since I play on very hard, I get lots of legendaries, and I end up getting loot faster than I can sell it (and faster than the vendors can re-stock). Had to break my rule about no fast-travelling because it takes forever to walk from the terminal to Hangman's Alley (and since enemies don't re-spawn, there's nothing to do). Still, it's nice to know that it's there. I was originally going to use it to boost my affinity with Gage - he likes it when you modify weapons - but I have only just started to move in on my second territory and I already have a pretty high affinity with him.

Not sure who I will support just yet. I will give one territory to each gang and decide from there. I'm leaning towards the Operators, mostly because they're not completely insane and actually seem to have a plan.

Just ran into a game-breaking bug: once you take control of the last park, Gage gets stuck in a line of dialogue that makes it impossible to progress.

Ah, hopefully I've bypassed that one, I'd cleared all the parks on side missions before I talked to the gang leaders so all I had to do was go plant the flags when he told me to clear them, I came back and then he told me to see someone else (after a longish chat) but I've now gone off on another side mission first so I'll see what happens when I get back.

Ran into the Gage bug again. Guess I will have to wait until Bethesda patch it. Hopefully the achievements will start working, too.

That's a real pity :( The only one that seems to have affected me is not being able to collect something from the treehouse that's needed for a reward.

I got that one easily enough.

It's not much of a reward, though. MIRA just gives you one of each Nuka Cola variety and has another passive-aggressive schizophrenic bout. The Cappy quest has a much more tangible reward.

Do it for the EXP.

Haha, yeah, that one's the reason that I'd already cleared the parks before I'd even talked to any of the bosses
Trying to find all of the star cores is a much bigger challenge - and has a much better reward at the end of it. Right now, I have twenty-four, but the game doesn't really give you any indication of where they are once you get the system online.

You can't get the last til you've restored power to Nuka World.
Yeah, I cheated a bit and looked it up. I now have thirty-three, and no idea where the missing one might be.

And it looks like the Gage glitch is bigger than being unable to finish "The Grand Tour". I have collected all of the Nuka Cola recipes and found all of the issues of Scav! magazine, but I haven't unlocked either of those achievements. Likewise, I am sure that I have killed forty Nuka-World creatures under the influence of a Nuka Cola mix, but I haven't got that achievement, and I have been doing quests for the gangs which haven't been recorded by the achievements.

have you got the one that's located quite a way outside the grounds of the parks ? I got them all (and the reward that you get :sly:
I have been using this list. I'm pretty sure that I got all of the outlying ones; I suspect that I am missing one either from Nuka Galaxy or the Vault-Tec expo.

ah, I didn't use a list, I just found them on my travels, some are in fairly obscure places, all I can say is explore thoroughly. and good luck.

When you do the initial quest to take control of the Galactic Zone, the game tells you how many you have recovered from each area. But once you restart Star Command, the game stops telling you; it just lets you know the total.

Still, even if I do find the one I am missing, I can't get the other until I get the power on, and I can't get the power on until Bethesda release a patch to fix the Gage glitch.

I must admit it's of no help to you but I did my usual habit of writing down on a piece of paper, when I first saw the list, how many were in each zone and then crossing one off every time I found one so I wouldn't leave the area until I'd got them all.
Just a thought, but did you go looking high up on the scenery in the part of Nuka Galaxy where the robots are having a battle ? I'm fairly sure I remember there's a hard to find one there

I'm actually pretty confident that I got everything there. When I first discovered the Gage glitch, I reloaded a previous save. It undid all of my work in Safari Adventure and Galactic Zone, but the advantage was that I had picked up everything on the first time through, so I knew where they were. I will double-check, of course, but I have narrowed it down to a few possible candidates.

I've just had time to look at that list and in the nuka galaxy section is incomplete, there are seven in there, it only lists six, and even number six is blank.

Okay, so apparently some achievements aren't glitched. I got "All Sugared Up" by doing a lap of the park perimeter and only drinking Nuka-Cola mixes that I brewed up (rather than the next ones, like Nuka Cola Quartz). But I still haven't got "Diebrarian", even though I have all five issues of Scav! magazine.

I didn't know there were only five, I'm sure I've got them all then and not got the trophy, been having a rest from gaming for a couple of days but I'll check when I switch on again, I'm not really a trophy hunter but it bugs me when you don't get one you should have.

On a side note, I ordered Fallout 3 GOTY edition and Fallout New Vegas ultimate edition for the ps3 yesterday for the reasonable price of £25 for the two, if they're anywhere near as absorbing as Fallout 4 that's a lot of hours entertainment for the money.

I am, but only up to a certain point. I like achievements like "Diebrarian" because they encourage you to fully explore the game world, and you can find some interesting stuff that way - like the shrine to television in the north-west corner of the map.

I've been playing Fallout 4 again on a new save, this time siding with the Brotherhood and Minutemen. I've completed the story again and today went to find Covenant for the first time and I can't start the quest there. In the Compound I can walk around freely, although there are no dialogue options with anyone, and in Covenant Honest Dan is nowhere to be found and there are no dialogue options with anyone to start or end the quest, even after hacking the terminal to find the Compound's location. And it looks like the only way to have Covenant as a settlement is to kill everyone there, which I'm sure all companions (or at least the ones I've met so far) really hate.

It's not a glitch. If you completed "The Nuclear Option", the quest stops being available.

Strong will like it. And Gage, if you have Nuka-World. If you have Automatron, Ada won't care either way because she doesn't have affinity levels.

I got fed up with them shooting at me every time I went past but didn't have the heart to kill them for the settlement, so I made an assaultron based robot companion and went for a visit ..... job done without me having to feel guilty and the robot didn't seem to mind at all

I've been murdering raiders for their gear; I'm surprisingly okay with it, seeing as how they're all evil. So now I have another awesome-looking character: trapper leathers, MacCready's hat, skull bandanna, heavy Operator arms, wrapped Disciple legs and a wrapped Disciple chestpiece.
