Recently, having no time to be serious with any games 'cause of overtime at work (after FarCry Instinct, anyone waiting for PrinceOfPersia3... its comin'... ) so my GT4 time is spent in fun-factor. Mostly in FamillyCup mode...

What i sort of noticed is that the AI is way better in Familycup then about 90% elsewhere in the game, where you always find yourself chasing after the lead car, overlaping the last one...

I'm not sure how the AI difficulty setting works in familycup works, but one thing that's fun is you can set the difficulty. I'm usually racing in between 6 and 8 for a fair challenge (more then that is too much for me).

basically, i'd like to see a AI that's just like that for GT5 (I'm not sure how it would be set tho, as having to choose the difficulty level in every races is sort of dumb) but even then, i find its a better challenge then most races in the game.

Any takers on that?

I do agree with your statement Masta, but it does give the player a better challenge, and AIs don't generally bump into you from the sides unless they have the lead on you, but they will ram you if you overbreak or break too fast 'round corners. If the player plays fair (no push), it makes for an awesome game experience (best i've had in a racing game - so far- ).

But i do understand the problem with the 'inteligence' of the AI. Especially with the coming of Damage control... where this could quite possibly because frustrating.

Yeah set the difficulty to 10 then choose an LMP or group C car and it will be no harder than the GT World championship.

As for the racing experience, I find the family cup races fun but t's frustrating that you can't up the number of laps from 2. As for it being a great racing experience, the driving experince is good like the rest of GT, the actual racing isn't all that imo. It's something to look forward to improving in GT5 though I hope.
