A better way to judge how far or close you are from an invite is to ask people who have gotten one what their purchase date was and compare it to your purchase date. If theirs is close to yours, you shouldn't have too long to wait.

One would think anyway

Ordered an Elite minutes after they went live in the Webshop on 11/16/2011

No invite code

If I were you I'd contact them and ask in such a case as that - I hope that you still have your original order records? Check your account by logging in at Fanatec.com and see if it shows in your order history also. If not they may not have a record of it still - I thought there was some mention made of some missing records for some people. Of you still have an original order email, invoice or the paperwork that came with your wheel you should send it to them with a request for invite. BTW what region are you from?

No this isn't right. He clarified later that there's no discernment between CSR-E and CSW owners in terms of invite order. The reason some CSR-E owners are getting invites before CSW owners is that they bought their wheel first. All the CSR-E owners and CSW owners are lumped in a group.

You aren't getting it too though. Thing is, no matter what Thomas has said, at first in his blog post CSW v1 and CSR E were two different groups and csw v1 was the first one. Doesn't matter whether it was just by a mistake they didn't notice or whatever else it was, it was exactly this way in initial blog post and it was edited on 18th September to make one single group. It seems that not that many people read this post thoroughly before the editing on 18th. So why people keep make us feel like we don't know about things or understand that. We just mention what was written in original post regardless what Thomas has said elsewhere. But it doesn't matter now, because blog post has been fixed and everything is as it should be.

You are wrong! I'm not deducting it, that's a fact! I questioned the Fanatec by email and they were honest in not deny it! The employee who answered said he was sorry but he could not do anything about the administrative decisions of the company!
The CSW v1 clients were betrayed.

All my orders show in my account dating all the way back to my first Fanatec wheel......Porsche Turbo S.

I'm under North American region (Canada)

I e-mailed Fanatec regarding missing account data, the day after the "Invite" thing was announced. I ordered my CSR-Elite and Clubsport V1 on different accounts to my current one, because Fanatec changed the website a few times. I supplied them with the original account and invoice numbers, and promptly had my current account updated with my old orders. Turns out it was a good move, because I got my Clubsport V2 Invite on sept. 18th. and ordered.

As for you @bumer and @EZ1978, I wasn't referring to what may or may not have been said originally, I was referring to the way it is as of now. To my knowledge, the way it works as of now is as I stated it. If I wasn't clear about that and you thought I was saying you were wrong about something Fanatec have said in the past I apologize. That was not what I was saying. My fault for not being clearer.

I pre-ordered the CSR Elite as one of the very first, but it didn't show up on my order history. I send email last week and included a copy of the orginal invoice.

3 hours later Fanatec mailed me the invite :)

The V1 wheels should still go for almost their asking price as the V2 won't be available for a long time to the general public. Hell CSR Elite wheels can't really swap all those rim and those things go for $450 to $500 on the regular.

Don't understand this CSW flood theory. There is always someone who needs what you don't want. Always.

My CSW V1 just went for $435 USD on eBay.

Well, we said how it was and you replied this isn't right. So, this lead me to think that you are saying we are wrong, but ok, all should be clear now.

Interesting to see people selling their CSW V1 and getting such high money. Reading those forums, many people seem to very picky (probably not the best word, don't know anything better off the top of my head) on everything. Also, many of you have had your motors replaced very many times and your wheels are probably out of warranty and are not afraid to sell for such high money. I haven't sold anything I've bought from Fanatec, because knowing there are so many picky people, I'm afraid they may contact me few weeks or months after selling saying you sold me piece of crap that is already broken or something and want their money back.

Yeah, after I re-read I saw how you could interpret it that way - that original reply was hurried also - I was just getting called into the doctor's office right while I was writing it. Sorry!

Is there any idea of when the "Next generation" thing will be revealed ?

Edit : On Fanatec site they say "At the end of the year" so it is from now to the 31 december :)

no problem! It was a text error and interpretation!

Actually I am still waiting for my CSR Elite payment and if I finally get it, I think I will go for the Porsche 918 wheel hoping it will be PS4 compatible...

You WILL love it, but it doesn't have the required security chip in it.

I wish the PS4 wheel support will be like the PS3 wheel support :S

Edit : seen a post from Logitech saying that ps4 wheels need a security chip to be fully supported. :(

Couldn't wait for the whole package (CSw v2 + Universal Hub) so asked Fanatec to send the Hub in advance which they did.

QSP 300mm Suede wheel on the universal Hub :)

Before 1st use.

Now just need to find some patience for the v2.....And decide what pedals to get :mischievous:

I received my invite code for the V2 wheelbase today. It says it expires Oct. 2 and that Dec. 8 would be delivery. I ordered my V1 Oct. 2012 for those waiting.

Interesting. Beta V1 tester and no code yet...... :/. I would like to give it to someone who would use it as I am not interested in the V2 at this time.
