Finally Fanatec responded with RMA details. There is no way I will get my wheel back in time for my birthday :D oh well. (I was so happy that I got it that quick). At least they could offer a discount for the new pedals or something :D but that is a wishful thinking.

I guess It will be at least 2 weeks before I get my wheel back. Better work perfectly this time.
Worst part is that It was so good that it would be hard to come back to cheaper wheels (if I had/planned to)
....
Finally shipped it. Again with the waiting :(

No they did not tell me anything. I'm just gonna track my courier info until it gets to them.
the feelings are mixed now. I really liked the wheel and was even more hyped for those new pedals (because with the temporary g27 pedals I immediately felt that they are "holding me back") but now after RMA I'm gonna be paranoid for sure.

I just hope that it is my bad luck again and failure rate is not as high as I think.
The strangest thing is that usually its the Engine that fails but to my understanding my RMA is unique and they even said (after checking with other bases) that those noises may have started because of there software bug.

Honestly they are very fast. I sent them my base a Monday from Quebec, they received it Thursday or Friday and the next Friday my base was back.

Bearing that was making some noise. Seems to happen on first CSW Base V2 first batch. My base was working perfectly well but the noise was annoying (wife acceptance factor). Now it is still so amazing, but perfectly silently. :)

So guess I'm just "lucky" always getting relatively unique bugs and problems. Starting to think that I should beta test stuff.

Especially in games I usually find most random glitches. Sadly those powers somehow don't work on my own software :D

I guess we will have to wait for Fanatec to clarify it.
I remember hearing complaints of lower lumbar support being non-existent with the CSL. I believe Doug Meyer at Sim Racing review complained about it. If they redesign it to make the user a bit more comfortable, that would be a good thing. But seeing that Fanatec didn't design it, but bought the rights to mass produce it, its doubtful that its getting an update.

Mine are also for August 31

For one of their products, I had the nice surprise to receive my gears with an earlier batch that the one I was supposed to get. I suppose I ordered just after the batch transition and that some pre-orders were cancelled in between.

Hope it will happen to some of you for the pedals !
I am Ok with getting mine end of august: the dampers will ship at that time anyway and I will only use the pedals for Forza 6 for the moment.

TBH, I said I could not wait, but since I am going on Holllidays in september, I told Fantec that delivery end of september would be OK too. Maybe I'm even doing someone a favor this way...:P

Just noticed that delivery of the dampers is scheduled for end of September...

Has anyone found any reviews for the CSP v3? I thought for sure there would be at least a couple by now, but can't seem to find any. This is going to be a long month and a half. :indiff:

I haven't found any reviews. So far I've seen three videos on YouTube, if I filter it for this week. Two of them are showing dampers, and one unboxing.

My CSW V2 Base showed up today. Once I did my part and read the manual properly, I got the base updated. So far, everything seems to work fine with it. The only thing that is a bummer, is the Xbox Universal Hub. For some reason the X button cover, doesn't work properly. If I take the plastic X cover off, which exposes the actual button. It works fine then. I'm assuming the X cover wasn't molded right or something, where it doesn't let it fully press.

I tried it out with Forza 5, and things seem to feel alright. Just not used to it, because I've been using the Forza CSR Wheel, for so long. Still not sure on what settings, I want to use for the CSW V2.

Now they are just teasing me :D.
Yesterday I got an update that my package will be a day early and now its delayed to 24th again :boggled:.

Finally received it.

When I first got it it came perfect but now the outer box has few holes in it. Main box has squished corners and the power brick box was ripped at the bottom.

Usually I don't care about the packaging, but the cable coming out of the power brick was quite bent, hope they did not damage it.

I hope they tested the cables too.

Gonna test it tonight (lets hope everything is good now). Strange that they used all the same packaging sending it back.

Well, I got an email from Fanatec, saying that they are shipping out a new Angled USB Cable for the V2s. Because it fits pretty loose in, the connector. I've noticed it when I was plugging it in, that the cable does sit pretty loose in the V2 Base.

Damn my luck.

I got everything hooked up. Decided to try iRacing and it says that my account has expired.
I purchased 1 year subscription from steam and it still has 331days left. :|

Again dealing with support.

Yes mine cable is angled.

Wheel works great so far but g27 pedals are spiking like crazy.
