This tariff trouble is a real shame and even more so when you see stuff like this hitter out hobbyists in the pocket ☹️

Clearly none of yall understand. These tariffs aren't meant to be permanent. This is how Trump is forcing their hands and making them come to the negotiating table to completely remove the tariffs. Lots of countries have already stepped up with signifigantly reduced or totally removed tariff offers. When China and Canada fall in line things will get much cheaper much faster.

I'll put it in terms Americans can understand.
The trick to negotiating with a gun is to threaten without using it. If you start shooting, there's a good chance they'll shoot back, and one or both of you will end up dead.

Again, the wider tariff topic is best-discussed in the Opinions & Current Events forum:

As it pertains to Fanatec/Corsair is fine here, but the broader topic over there, please.

I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy. 🤠

There is no mechanism for it making things like this cheaper. Corsair could avoid the Trump imposed Tariffs on the American consumer by manufacturing in the USA (though assembly is only one aspect if they're still buying all the internals from Taiwan). I don't think anybody thinks wanting to boost American manufacturing is itself a bad thing, but it's likely inherently more expensive - if it was cheaper to build things in the USA, Corsair wouldn't manufacture stuff in China/Taiwan in the first place.

Keep that in mind and then consider that China cancelling it's tariffs on American goods does not affect the cost of goods to the American consumer, it's the Chinese people that pay China's tariffs, just as it's American citizens that pay for Trumps tariffs.

Things are either going to get more expensive, or get more expensive and be American made. They're not going to get cheaper.

Had to re-read it because I couldnt detect (And I still cant) if you are being sarcastic or not.

Is like punching someone in the face before start talking to force him talk to me under the promise to not punch him again.
Well played sir!

More on topic... as it always happens in this cases, the consumer is the weaker link on this chain and the one who always ends paying the price for this "brilliant" strategy.
We are talking of a first world problem here because no-one needs a Fanatec Bundle, but this is the tip of the iceberg and this should have a HUGE! (I hope you read that with Trumps voice in mind 😎 ) negative impact in all the economy around the world.

Hard times incoming.

So expensive..

…so little support and effort to make it not suck from pd / sony.

Hopefully Project motor racing or ac evo puts some effort into trueforce and makes the wheel feel worth it because after the braking nerf of 1.49 and these latest garbage updates..1.55etc my wheel is now a clothing rack…

A couple guys I race with regularly have that but they say it always overheats. What's your experience?
That's kind of shocking to be honest. I've not experienced that even a little bit but I also live in the north east and its been cold. What I can say is that I had FFB fade very often with my T300, and absolutely none with T598 even when I crank up the FFB too high just to see what it can do (it's A LOT stronger than my T300).

I will say it seems like the QC isn't the best because I have had issues with the power cable disconnecting even though it's plugged in. It's finnicky but I did hear I just need to call thrustmaster and they'll send a brand new one.

The spring on my T300 pedals broke shortly after I got it, they asked for a picture and then sent me a brand new pedal set for free so my experience with their customer support has been great as well.

I love the wheel otherwise. Compared to T300 it's night and day and I think the quality of the rim is underrated. The rim is peoples main complaint but I really like it so far and I'd take it over the T300 or G29 rims. Pedals are great too though they'll be better with a load cell, and I don't mind not having a clutch. I do left foot braking so being able to spread gas and brake so wide has been a huge improvement over T300 for me.
